I hit my limit with playing games just to achievement whore. I just bought Xmas Adventure for Kids and it's horrible. It doesn't have achievements and it doesn't even work on top of constantly asking for permission for my info.  I'm done with caring about my gamerscore, it's got me playing bottom of the barrel games doing tedious grinds and making games feel like work. 

I'll hit a million Gamerscore in a couple of years just playing good games I neglect and will just slowly stop caring about 100%-ing every game I touch. I started off with the Kingdoms of Amalur remaster and love it again already. Only a couple of hours in and it feels great, looks great and sucked me within minutes of playing and wants me to explore this world for 60 hours all over again!!

Um so you bought something with that name out of the "content creators" area and it's gamerscore's fault?

If I played and enjoyed the demo years ago and Chrono Trigger is my favorite game, what am I going to think of it? Does it just get worse after the beginning or something?

I thought it was fantastic. Yes the stories don't converge as well as I hoped but still well worth the 100 hours I put into it.

I grew up on squaresoft and also love CT.

I would say that Octopath is good but not great. Worth playing. Certainly has its moments. Most memorable for me are some great bits on the soundtrack. Characters and their dialogue just weren't as interesting/engaging as they should have been for what the game attempts to do.

I will happily play it again on Game Pass. Somehow the nsw version fails to run the 2d sprite-based game smoothly on some screens. "Too many sparklez! Gotta drop fps to 10!"

Lost my best friend of 5 years to cancer last week, it went too quick. He was having trouble using the bathroom and was yelping out when he finally released. I took him to the vet the next day. They did a physical and found his prostate was enlarged and a mass on his large intestine. They wanted almost $600 for a scan and bloodwork to confirm if the mass was cancer. I asked what would be the next step? The vet said she would refer me to another vet over a hour away for surgery, around $3,000-$5,000 in cost. I told her to hold off and see if I could get the money together. She gave me some meds to help him use the bathroom and they worked for a day. Two nights after the visit he couldn't go at all and I stayed up all night with him till the vet opened the following morning. They took him on in and gave me a call 3 hours later. They went ahead with the scan and found the mass was alot bigger than she expected and did confirm it was cancer. She said that due to the size of the mass and his age surgery was out. She wanted to give him pain meds and muscle relaxers and send him home. I asked how long did he have and what would his quality of life be? She said not good, organs would start to shut down and he would have maybe 4 days to live. I told her I didn't want him to suffer longer than what he already has. At 4pm Thursday me and my family stayed with him till he went to sleep. He always stayed at my side no matter where I went in the house or out in the farm he wanted to be there. He was hard headed but goofy dog. I loved him since he jumped in my car 5 years ago, he was a rescue who was 5 at the time. If you have a pet give them a extra treat and a good belly rub in honor of my dog, Bruno.

New MS Headset isn't making a good first impression. So far it seems worse at picking up things like me pressing the A button vs the Arctis 9x.  It also puts pressure under my ears when it clamps down on my head and with allergies being really bad this week, it's really annoying.

The 9x fits better but is still a tad snug.  The A50s fit, sound, and chat the best, but the base station always needed unplugged because it locked up or wouldn't charge.  I guess that's small potatoes compared to comfort or sound.

 

I thought it would be good to try to MS one for the auto mute and sound filtering options, but the auto mute seems to not work at all and it's mic still picks up everything.  I wonder how good Best Buy is at returns for things like this.  I don't think it's really defective, but sure does not seem to work as advertised with some of the features I was looking forward to.  I'll try it some more tomorrow.

Absolutely! It's my most played game by far every year (900+ hours for The Show 20) and I couldn't be more excited to switch over to XBox for it!

I was also kinda confused as I thought the mute light was on when muted but it's on when not muted.

CT is one of my favorites ever as well!

I guess I shouldn't oversell my disappointment with the game. Technically it's fine, it plays decently, looks great and has adequate music.  The  game just never felt like it took off and hooked me like Chrono Trigger. I was mostly   just bored alot of the time and waiting to entralled and it just never happended.

 

My expectations for this game were probably too high. This game pushed me to buy a Nintendo Switch and I went in expecting to relive the same experiences I had with the best SNES rpgs and it just didn't happen.

Looking forward to Undertale. Been keeping an eye out for Switch sale buy this is even better.

Rough playing two multiplayer games that seem to have so many events that distract from the backlog but at least I have fun. Just finished the overwatch "event" so now I can start the Apex event and then a bigger Overwatch event is happening in April.

Yes. Your purchases and subscriptions can be accessed by any account on your home xbox. To share your xbl/gamepass, they would sign in on your account and set their xbox as your home. They then sign out of your account and shouldn't have to sign in ever again.

This means that on any other xbox (ie the one you use) you have to be signed in to Live to access those things, so when your internet is down you won't be able to play any of your games. That's the only downside other than sharing your password, which you could change to something else while they sign in and then change back afterward.

Xbox is getting a new suspend / pause feature that will allow you to keep your spot in a game while still getting the full download speed. Would love to not even have to do this but downloads have been a sore point while a game is running in the background so I’ll take it.

I was just playing Wreckfest last night and that 1v1 race almost made me uninstall the game. I would hit the guy and spin him out but somehow he would be right behind me by the next turn but if I made a bad turn it was impossible for me to catch up. I ended up turning the difficulty down for that race.
