I’m excited for Dolby Vision on games even though I can’t imagine Gears 5 possibly looking any better, but I’d be more excited to get Dolby Vision for UHD blu-rays.

It took three sittings actually.  About the only place I could begin to watch a movie this long uninterrupted would be in a movie theater.

I couldn’t believe how much better of a movie it was compared to the Wheaton one. I absolutely loved it.

The Synder cut has its problems but overall it is almost not even the same movie and so much better for it. The last 45 minutes is hands down Snyder at his very best (if you like that).

I also now completely understand why Ray Fisher hates Joss Whedon. If he did me dirty like that I would hate him also. Cyborg and The Flash get such better treatment in this movie.

I did watch it straight and it does not work as a theatrical release but on TV it is great.

I had been waiting on playing more of The Avengers since I knew the update was coming, but my God, 106.9 GB for this game seems excessive . I’ve never been that motivated to finish a game in any specific timeframe before but since I’m single player only I really want to get through it before The Show comes out so I can clear some space. That SSD fills up quick. Speaking of which, let’s play “what’s currently on your Series X?” . I’ve got 9 games at the moment with 28.2 GB to spare.

Borderlands 3
Dirt 5
Forza Horizon 4
Halo MCC
Hitman 3
Marvel’s Avengers
NBA 2K21
Jedi Fallen Order
The Division 2

I'll jump in on this one, here are the 636GB of titles I'm trying to fit before more games get Series X versions:

Assassin's Creed Valhalla (No dlc yet): 73.4GB

Borderlads 3 (No dlc): 62.5GB

Dead by Daylight: 37.3GB

Destiny 2: 76GB

Forza 4 + DLC: 98.2GB

Gears 5: 93GB

Gears Tactics: 28.2GB

Medium: 22.9GB

Mortal Kombat 11: 84GB

Observer System Redux: 10.6GB

The Touryst: <1GB

Yakuza Like a Dragon + Pachislot dlc: 49.1GB

Tony Hawk, Doom Eternal, Elder Scrolls Online, Witcher 3, Metro Exodus, and Cyber Punk are waiting for their Series x patches. Right now I'm pretty thankful for Series X Enhanced titles that are able to run from and external drive.

Heads up, Halo, Jedi Fallen Order, and The Division 2 can run off an external still

AC Vahalla
call of the Sea
Cross code
Desperados 3
Dirt 5
Disneyland Adventures
FIFA 21
Football Manager 2021
Fortnite
FH4
Haven
LEGO DC villains
planet Coaster
Star Wars Squadrons
Super Hot Mind Control Delete
Tetris Effect
Yes, Your Grace
353.3 gigs left. 55.7% full

Well at least you have quite a few games that can be moved to an external. Do you have them on the internal for faster loading?

Well, it looks like I'll be joining the Switch crowd soon from selling off some collectables. I have a Gamecube copy of Resident Evil Code Veronica X getting over $150 in bids right now, and I have a couple other games that could get the same

I put LEGO DC Villains and Disneyland Adventures on the internal just for the load time increase. Villains is only a slight but noticeable difference but Disneyland is much faster. I’m sure I’ll come across more that gets a significant load time increase as I reach into my backlog to put on there. Thankfully I’m not too hard up on space yet and the only game coming up I’m getting is MLB the Show.
Welcome to joining the Switch club soon. Just an FYI, the Mario bundle of Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy are going to stop being made or sold digitally at the end of this month if you’re interested. I’m still on the fence whether to get a physical copy or not.

OMG you people with the snyder cut. It has pretty much all the same problems as the whedon cut, except it's also interminable. The dialogue and acting is uniformly awful, which undercuts any benefit of more Cyborg. Cyborg and Flash have no interaction, and this was supposed to set up a Flash/Cyborg movie. The last battle is much better, and the Steppenwolf looks good, and is well done. But they leave in the setup that Batman is on a suicide mission, and then completely forget about it a minute later. They cut out all of Wonder Woman's arc of assuming leadership with that drop too, so she has no arc. There's way too many scenes that are just repeats of earlier scenes, especially with Aquaman. Every scene is tooooo long. Lois has a five minute scene smelling Clark's hoodie, which I guess she needed because she wouldn't have had anything to do in the movie for two and half hrs. The cuts between storylines are all over the place. The heroes all move the same, like superman in MoS, and it looks bad. Stop with the chorus singing, and every scene is just filled with music. I could list for days things in this movie that just don't work and took me out of the story. I'm glad we get to see it. I'm always interested in how creative decisions can affect our perception of the same thing. The Knightmare setup was legit interesting, which I thought was impossible, and this movie def had a vision. But no one should "like" this movie. I'll also admit I find the whedon cut watchable.

I'm kind of shocked everyone is loving the Snyder cut so much in here. There's things in it I like, but overall I thought it was trash.

Some of the good stuff is Cyborg and the Flash getting more story, and the fact that there's not a scene where Batman fights a Parademon that self destructs and in doing so leaves markings on a wall that look like the Mother Boxes. That shit in the theatrical was fucking dumb as hell.

But the good stuff doesn't make up for the fact that there's scenes that drag on too long (the women singing after Aquaman returns to the ocean, for example), the music choices throughout were awful, and there's so many scenes with unnecessary slow motion. Does Lois Lane walking in the rain after buying coffee have to be in slow fucking motion? And Zach Snyder is bad at teasing future plot elements. Why does Batman have dreams of the future in Batman V Superman AND Justice League? Marvel is so much better at hinting at what's to come without literally just having a character randomly dream about the future. Since when did Batman have powers of precognition?

Also, none of that stuff is going to get a pay off unless WB lets Snyder make a Justice League 2, which I doubt they will. I think a version of Justice League could be made in a fan edit that takes the theatrical and adds some of the Zach Snyder stuff to make it a decent 2 1/2 to 3 hours, but there's no way I would sit through this 4 hour monstrosity ever again. It was an awful experience. Do not recommend.

I sold my sealed GameCube copies of Resident Evil 2, 3, and CVX (all bought from Fry’s, RIP) last year for pretty hefty prices.  Still sitting on my sealed copy of Rule of Rose - maybe I’ll sell it when I want to get a Series X.

I’m curious to see what the next Switch revision is going to be like.   I’d like to be able to play the Xenoblade games sometime but with better performance.

How do you guys prevent getting ripped off on eBay? I wouldn't be comfortable selling a game worth hundreds.

I don't know about eBay as I've never had an issue there.  But on Swappa, I sold a sealed Apple Watch, they paid, I shipped, it was confirmed received via tracking.  Then 2 days later they filed a claim with PayPal that the item wasn't ordered by them but by someone who hacked their account.  First time I ever had something like this happen.  The good thing is with tracking showing it went to their address, whether they claim it was fraud or not, you have proof you completed the transaction.  I won the dispute and kept the funds.  I'd assume eBay works the same way.  That said, I've sold hundreds if not thousands of items over the years and this is the first issue I've encountered.

But they claimed they didn't order it. If they claimed you sent the wrong item or in a lesser condition instead, they would probably be asked to ship the item back - who knows what you'd receive? - and you'd be forced to provide a refund.

Fair point, I don't know how you protect yourself from that.  Maybe take a picture or video of you placing the item in the box?

I’ve been screwed over a few times by eBay buyers claiming the item was wrong or defective. You eat the cost of shipping both ways and don’t even get a credit back on your final value fees. Starting about a year ago or so, you also don’t get your PayPal fees back. I sold a working Amazon fire phone for about $80 and the guy couldn’t figure out how to get Facebook on it so he filed a claim against me. All said and done I had lost over $25 on that transaction. This was the third time something like this has happened to me. I haven’t sold on eBay since this transaction

I suppose your rating as a seller/buyer comes into play if issues pop up.

EDIT: Thanks for the warnings. To protect myself I will be video taping the packaging and mailing of the item.

Fallout and Skyrim FPS boost. Skyrim runs at a full 4K/60, but they had to nerf both FO4 and 76 down to 1080p to maintain a steady 60 FPS.

Pretty disappointing, hopefully they tweak it to something a bit higher if possible. Personally would recommended using the mod instead for 4. Outside of the expected problem areas most of the game runs fine at the higher resolution.

Ugh why do they make this so confusing. I took for granted that if it had the X|S logo I should run it from internal but I do remember at least one other person saying what you are. So just so I'm clear, when looking at file info:

Scarlett - needs to be installed internally
Durango - can be run from external and still get enhancements other than faster loading times

I'm also joining the Switch family soon. Should have the MH version later this week!

Anyone have thoughts on the Vizio OLED-H1 tvs? My Dad is thinking of buying one and I have no idea about tvs right now. I have not been keeping up. BBY has the 55" for $999 and the 65" for $1499

Not sure about that brand of OLED, but I do recommend buying it at BBY and getting the extended geek squad warranty. They are one of the only places that cover screen burn in under the warranty. I have a 2017 LG OLED that had burn in from a manufacturing defect, LG wouldn’t cover it because of the age, but the geek squad warranty did. Came to my house and swapped screens out in less than an hour.

LG covered the burn in on my B7A I bought in May 2018. I just had to pay $160 for the install of the new panel. How much was the geek squad warranty? Also, if you use a credit card that extends the warranty, you don't need to buy an extra one. They will send you a check for that you originally paid for it. Also, the newer OLEDs have really improved the burn in. I got mine because I used it as a computer monitor for like a month and some of the bottom icons that don't move burned in.

Not a sequel but they basically did reimagine the game. Despite the name Mighty Gunvolt Burst/Gal*Gunvolt Burst actually uses the stages and bosses of Mighty No. 9. I say reimagine because it's not a 1 to 1 remake, it's the same locations and enemies but the actual level layout and boss attacks/patterns are completely new.

It's really dang good imo, basically what Mighty No. 9 should have been in terms of gameplay.

There already is a much improved sequel. It's called Mega Man 11.
