The OG XBox version was GWG. The one coming to Game Pass is the XBox One remaster that came out last year.

Oniken is on sale for $2, 8-bit throwback similar to Cyber Shadow but it didn't get a lot of coverage:

 

 

Very positive reviews on Steam. I've had it on my wishlist for awhile, so $2 was an insta-buy.

Pretty slim pickings for GP adds. But I guess with big games like Outriders, The Show 21 and to a lesser extent, Second Extinction, they probably blew out their budget for April and May.

Are you kidding? DAH! is a great addition! I put off playing the BC version in favor of waiting to play the remaster instead. Hard to ask for a better month all things considered.

 

Now what are the chances that Maneater and Immortals Fenyx Rising hit gamepass? Add those games and I think xbox has all of the major 3rd party games covered. Maybe FF7 Remake but we got that free with PS Plus already or maybe It Takes Two but that one should be hitting GP eventually thanks to EA access.

Not big into sports, but I'm really enjoying The Show. My friends dad took me to some Twins games as a kid and this really brought back some memories.

 

I really love the accessibility, I've only ever played 8 and 16bit baseball video games and to see some of those popular control schemes there, was really cool. I love that you can try out all of the control styles ahead of time. I am using a mix of new, old school and automatic controls.

 

It's super easy to quick pick up and play, and there is a ton of depth to explore here too, if desired.

 

I love it. What a great way to get new players into the game.

Got half a game in, boo to no saving progress in a game. Plays like a baseball game which is good. Felt like a fair amount of tearing/judder/something when in motion. A little ambitious?

I have 3 classes in Outriders through the story, the Technomancer clicked after a rough start. So many turrets freezing, poisoning, and or awake ing them plus throwing down missile barrages.

DAH is, for me, a perfect Game Pass title. A game I want to play and will probably play a lot of, but don't feel inclined to buy.

Yeah, DAH is a good add. I have it on PlayStation but I think it may be the older version.

My only disappointment in The Show 21 is that there is no longer a season mode. Guess they decided to do March to October instead which isn’t the same. I like having a mode with a season that doesn’t need to include all the team / player management that franchise mode has.

That's surprising to me, but I don't follow the industry all that much.

As far as I've seen there haven't been any hints of this, but Blizzard has been bleeding high level guys pretty steadily the last couple of years. Activision has been eroding old Blizzard, and there have been a lot of bad calls in general.

I think Overwatch 2 was announced way earlier than it should have been, but probably because they knew OW1 would start getting much less support while development was happening, as well as whatever pleasing investor nonsense. With basically the lead universe creator (Chu) and now Kaplan leaving mid development, it seems like a bad sign for how it's been progressing.

Would like to get Nier Replicant this week but I’ll be good. Got enough games to play.

I wanted to revisit the original Nier on 360 in prep for Replicant, so went to buy it digitally.  No dice, I guess it was never available digitally on any platform.  Pretty strange.

If you have Game Pass, give it a shot. If the pace of the game is your issue with baseball, you can speed things up a bit in the show.

I think its funny that the loading icon for The Show in the bottom right is the playstation controller symbols. they disguised the square as a base, the circle as a baseball, i think the triangle was part of a diamond or something, then they just threw the x up because they had to at that point.

I played The Show just now.... the Nationals season will continue to be a dumpster fire. I think the fact I haven’t played a baseball game since MLB 2K6 is the problem.

Give The Show a shot. I loved baseball as a kid but lost interest as I got older. I probably wouldn’t have gotten back into the sport if I hadn’t started playing The Show several years ago. They made it somewhat more accessible this year. Besides the casual mode, they added an easier setting for simulation mode.
You may not like it and there’s nothing wrong with that. I can’t stand basketball but I have fun playing NBA2K when it’s on GP.

Looks like it's now floating around $30-40 for a complete package. I don't think it will drop all that much since the old one is Gestalt while the new one is Replicant, unless we get a full blown father DLC.

It's went up since I got it, paid like $15 around the time Automata released.
