I’m actually doing both. I’m getting digital for Xbox as that’s what I have the newest hardware for, but I am getting the physical version on PS4 at Best Buy for the steel book, and because I have a problem. I played the original Mass Effect on 360 and then played part 2 on 360 doing a paragon path. When Mass Effect 2 later got announced for PS3 I jumped ship because I was primarily a PS3 gamer at the time. I decided to replay the game and went with a renegade path just to change it up. When Mass Effect 3 came out I bought it on both so I could finish both my runs. I then ended up buying the physical version of the trilogy on PS3 because I wanted a physical copy of Mass Effect 1 on PS3. At that point I had bought every Mass Effect game on console, so when Mass Effect 3 got a Wii U port I said why not. At this point I’m just keeping the ridiculousness alive. I’ll do a paragon run on Xbox, and when I later get a PS5 a year or two down the line I’ll go through it again doing renegade. Every time I read some stupid decision I see somebody post I think about this and tell myself, yep I’m stupid as sometimes too.
You are not alone in the stupidity, I also own the trilogy in multiple formats.
Mass Effect: xbox, origin
Mass Effect 2: xbox, origin, PC physical collectors edition
Mass Effect 3: xbox, xbox collectors edition, origin, and wii u
I was always tempted to buy the box set but resisted. Now I am going to buy the legendary edition on steam but I really want that steel book so may need the xbox version as well.
