So what's the plan? Who is going to represent our clan? And when is this taking place?

You guys should play with your best players, not just your overlord and staff. Don't let clan rank blind you to who is the better players.
 
i'd like to play if there's a spot open...i'd suggest that the 4 people on the "team" (once they are determined) should practice playing slayer and skirmish games with each other until the clan match

Thats what I had planned on doing. But I will be a part of it, even though I am not the top 4, because it became a war with shifter, and I am not backing down to him.

If I hadn't opened my mouth, then I'd gladly put someone in my place to take this challenge, but I am in too deep as it is now.

Bad idea playing to prove something, you'll lose focus. You want CAG to win right? That should mean more then a personal vendetta. I would suggest Crispy, Liquid, Samurai, and Jugsta.

So what you're saying is if I am on the team, we won't win?

As for Liquid being a part of it, he can't guarantee he will be around, since he is in Canada. Last time Jugsta offered to play he was a no show for The Bees Knees match. And Fez might be on the team, I don't know. But it comes down to my judgement, so thanks for the opinion.

Hey hey, take it easy. He's just giving an opinion, and he wasn't even being an ass. Chill Craven, nobody wants you off the team or anything.

I'm not saying you won't win for sure because you're on it, I would think, as a leader, that you would want the team to win more then you playing for some personal thing. I offered up those names because those 4 of the CAG clan have shown to have some of the better Halo skills.
I would suggest the same thing to rock. I would rather see Crymson, instead of me,rock, led or pimp when we play our match against them. Just because me and led are staff doesn't mean we should get dibs on playing them first, we should get dibs because we are 2 of the top players of CAGtac. And no problem, like you said it comes down to your decision if thats the way you want to run this, I'm just offering up an opinion and this will probably be my last post in this topic. Good luck to those that play.
 
craven u should try to pick to the best players out of our clan. there is no hard feelings if none of the staff including myself don't get pick. just pick the 4 people who have the best chance to win against team tpx to represent the cag clan. to those of you who get chosen, good luck and kick some ass

I have no need to chill out, as I wasn't out of line in my response to Zewone. I don't believe I called him an ass or anything. All I said was thats his opinion, but it ultimately comes down to what I decide in the end. Whenever the match comes, we will have a team fielded that can take care of them, trust me on that one.

Thats just the message I was getting from that. I apologize for taking it out of context. As a leader, I want to be a part of the winning team that tears these guys up. One of the reasons I put my name out there is because I am one of, if not, the most reliable person in the clan, when it comes to showing up.

I'll give my 2 cents for people you should take them on with, Arikado, Trakan, Crymson, and Led/Pimp. Those are 4 of your top players that can each adhere to the weaknesses of the others in your group.

I mean no disrespect by my statements, and appreciate your opinion. In the end, we will field our best shot at beating them.
 
craven, I have broadband here in canada and I can get online, but unless the game is gonna happen from noon to 4 or past midnight, I cant gaurantee getting on because I'm at the mercy of the relatives and parents here

also, Fez may have trouble geting online for a while because his new router is being bitchy and he's having trouble getting on live

Completely away from the main subject... I think a good idea would be for those whose names on live don't match the one on CAG to please post their Xbox Live tags on their sig or somewhere so we (or at least me) know who we are talking to...

We don't see it as being neccesary since we don't do cutlists and our members stay for such a long time and we have a relatively small amount of members.

A Crispy Donut - confirmed (sniper)
Brax0r - confirmed (killer/pissed off guy)
Jugsta (killer/runner)
Rabbittreloaded (leader)

The alternates:

Myself, in the event of Rabbitt can't play (role of the leader)
Fez, if Jugsta can't play (role of the killer/runner)
Liquid, if Jugsta can't play, and fez's connection is in the shitter

If I don't hear from Jugsta by tomorrow, I will just throw my name in, that way its easier to get some practice in. Unless of course Fez or Liquid can guarantee they can make it.

And by "hook up" I'm referring to the MTV Real World rendition of hooking up.

As of right now, we know what gametype they've selected (TS on Lockout), which we can practice. We also have the upper hand in that they won't know what map / gametype we are going to select. So this is something that we need to discuss and act upon A.S.A.P.
 
Good luck guys this team pfx tpx pcp or whatever the hell their name is, are going down. Also, if it's on lockout, just get the sniper and sword and it's all gravy from then on.

I agree with you on this, but I won't be able to do anything until later this evening, and have yet to hear back from Jugsta. I am hopping he gets back to me at some point today. I just don't know if he checks his inbox or even threads in here for that matter.

Change the topic of this thread and add Jughead look here. Maybe we can get him to look by doing that.

yea, rabbitt and I have been discussing this as well...I was thinking of setting 2 possible options: a slayer or skirmish type match...we first decide on the 2 possibilities and when it's time to play the lockout slayer match, we'll see how good they are at slayer...if they are very good at slayer, we'll try a skirmish match...but if we win the lockout slayer match, we go with another TS match...something like that....

They'll probably want to know before hand what gametype you guys want so they can practice so the waiting to see how good they are at TS probably won't work. Whats a stong matchtype for you guys? Whatever that is, just have faith in that.

Your match with them should tell us a lot about the way they play. But you are right, that they may want the heads up as well on our match type.

With that said, as funny as it sounds, one of our best is Neutral Flag on Warlock. Its all about team work for that game type. And its generally over within a minute or so. And it is a real matchmade game type. If I am a part of this group, which it is seeming to look more and more like, anything on Ascension is off limits, especially slayer, I never do well on Ascension, ever.

hah, me and rabbitt were talking about doing team snipers on ascension...that's if jugsta is playing, of course ;)

Thats what was kind of surprising to me. They came in and challanged us, but only to a 4 v 4 match. Oh well, I think the challange the Bobs things is 8 on 8.
 
I was just reading this thread for the first time and a mounted speaker just came down and hit me in the head. fucking sucks! It probably happened for a good reason. I might have said something stupid in this thread if it didn't fall.

no, its totally fine craven. I haven't been a good clanmate lately so whatever you said might have been needed (haven't even read much). So... when is the clan match? I might be able to do it but things are really hectic in school right now. Just let me know. Yea, I do think the best players should be playing but only when they have abided by all the rules applying to the other clan members (which I have been slackin). LMK

Good deal, good to know we're all cool. How much longer is summer school? I am not sure of a date for this at all. Was shooting for tomorrow night, but not sure if they want to face both of the clans on the same night or if all of you guys can make it. Yeah, after listening to advice from everyone, I made the decision that I should put the best team in there that I can possibly field for a 4 v 4 match. And as for the rules, you have been slacking for a few weeks, but for the most part, you are still on of the more reliable guys in the clan, so I'd be honored if you could represent us in this match.

Also, if you guys do Snipers on Ascension, make sure that the Banshee is turned off. I don't know if its automatic when you set snipers to that map, but its worth checking to be safe so you don't have to worry about them being higher up.

I can be there tomorrow but it gets hairy during the week. And its not like they are doing a triathalon. Its just halo, I am sure they could play us right after. Oh, and summer school ends on August 6th.

Alright, I think Rabbitt and Crispy will be around tonight to work as a team. I am not sure of Brak's status for tonight, but I am sure he'd show up if he is available. Just let me know what type of match you guys decide to play. That way I can get back to him with that information.
 
wait, are we talking about saturday. I can't do it tonight. My buddy is coming home from an exchange program in the Czech (however you spell it) Republic. I'm picking him up at the airport @ 7pm CT and I will be drunk when I get back.

Not the match itself, just the prep for it. But I think the others can handle it, however maybe its best that we push the date back a few weeks to get this in, that way people are ready to play.
 
Well if you all want to that is fine. I am not big on prep work (because I think I more or less a slayer). But if we are doing some objective games a little prep wouldn't be bad. Just let me know Crispy, Rabbit, Brax and Craven. Gotsta go! Later
 
you dont have school on weekends, right Jug? we could do it next weekend...it could give us some more time to practice...

plus, my internet is going on and off...the cable people are coming tuesday to fix it

so pushing back the date can help me as well :)
