Ah well. At least it also implies you can buy gift cards with value cards legally, so that's good. I'm guessing I'll still probably buy a $50 card at some point, if I continue to trade in for credit there.
 
Well I'm just about done with doing my pre-orders at Gamerush. I've been doing all my preorders with them for the past year or more. In the past they would get smaller titles (Bards Tale) later or not at all, but over the past few months it's happened more and more. Fast forward to today, and my Battlefield still hasn't come in for Xbox. Oh if I had a PS2 I could be playing it now, but none for Xbox. The real killer is I just called and there will be no Gamerush people (who might actually have a clue what they're doing) in today or tomarrow to talk to. The only thing I could get out of the Blockbuster employees is "Maybe it got pushed back. We don't really know when it might come in. Check in Friday or maybe next week." Awsome! I get to wait till "Maybe next week"for a game that everyone else got YESTERDAY! I guess I'll be taking my business back to Gamestop. They might not give the amount of credit or have the deals that Gamerush has, but at least they get their shit in on time. Vent Mode Off.
 
Just called GR, they did not get grand theft auto (PSP) in yet. what is wrong with GR?? Still No X-men legends II (PSP). Gamestop and ebgames have both games available!!! Gr, are you listening, it sucks!!!

I've decided that the problem is likely that all the employees are too busy counting up their losses from the masses trading in Dead to Rights 2, so the poor delivery guys have been sitting outside the stores for days waiting for someone to sign.
 
Can you guys stop bitching about GR not getting in games. This thread is for video game deals, not Game Rush bitching.

You can post this is the FAQ if you want:

Gamerush gets there new release games in on WEDNESDAY, not Monday, not Tuesday, WEDNESDAY.

95% of the time when you ask a clueless Blockbuster or Gamerush CSR when a game comes out, they will quote you a FRIDAY, assume the game comes out the WEDNESDAY of that week.

Well for you to say something that bold i would think you were talking about an atlus game or something, but no you're talking about a widespread army shooter game that has commercial airing every hour on the hour about how it is such a great game and there will be a chance to win $250,000 dollars if you are the best with some type of online contest. Now does that sound like a game that GameRush will never get in.

Now as stated before this thread is for the deals that GameRush has to offer and other people post tips as to what games people should buy in order to maximize their credit for the least amount of money. Please don't post if your topic isn't relevant to these issues because you are just wasting space. If you are truly upset about the delivery times and speed of your games check your receipt for your pre-order there should be a regional office number at the top below the store number. Give them a call and let them know all your frustrations with their company, hopefully if all of you who are whining about the games GameRush didnt get in on time call (even though you forgot you saved at least $20 if not more on game) we can get are games in quicker

Today is wednesday. The game is not in. I don't see why it take so long for them to get games in when I could go to ANY other store that sells games and pick it up on release day.
 
I'll say this and then I'm done:
This thread is about Gamerush deals, and most of their deals revolve around preorders. The fact that the game I have preordered is a "big" game and not an obscure Atlus RPG is irrelevant.(Not a bash aginst Atlus) More and more smaller titles are past over for distribution by Gamerush, and it was only a matter of time before they start slipping on the larger titles as well. I just think for the people that come in here looking for great deals on preorders should know that ya, they might save a few bucks in the long run, but the fact is they might not get games on time or at all. And as a side note to billyknoxville, Gamerush get their games in whenever they are shipped, thats why they had Battlefield 2 for Ps2 on Tues and last week Had Stubbs for Xbox in Tues as well. Ok, i'm done. Sorry if I desecrated your Gamerush deals thread with preorder revelant information.

STILL NO fuckIN BATTLEFIELD I'M PISSED! They told me it doesn't even come out till friday, they'll call when they get it in..... Toys R Us last night had shelves full of ALL the games that came out yesterday but a game store doesn't have them............ ARGH i'm sick of this damn store they get nothing in on time. I'm gonna go buy it from Wal-Mart and when GR finally gets it in just return that copy to WalMart.

A value card is just a place to store your Blockbuster credit, so the value card is tied to your Blockbuster account, whereas a gift card is just a generic card with credit on it.
 
Today (assuming they have gotten DDR Mario when I call), I will see if this crazy YMMV extra 25% trade credit is still going on in Cleveland, since it'll be the first time I've traded 3 games since that deal's end date. Would certainly be nice if it were, $55 is so much sweeter than $44.

Haha... it's good to know that I'm the only person who preordered Mario Mix at my GR. Since my cell phone is locked in my apartment with my keys and wallet, I didn't get their call:

"Hi, I preordered DDR Mario Mix, has that come in yet?"
"Is your last name botticus? Yeah, I called you."

Either he had a lucky guess, or it was an extremely short list.

So, at least they get some games in on time!
 
Anyone preorder Spartan: Total Warrior?

I did and they said to expect it in 11/1. Thats a week late, and a Tuesday. Its also for the GC so I hope it comes in! Anyone know if your suppose to get anything free with this?
 
FYI: Dead2Rights II buy back is now 20 for xbox and 16.50 for PS2. Regular BB was giving 24 for the xbox version last night.
 
Bah... they changed the values on a Wednesday? Ah well... there goes $2.50 for my PS2 version. Hopefully Xeno 2 and Tron didn't drop much.

Guess I'll also stop by Blockbuster before going to GR... have them scan them first, and see if maybe their update schedule is also different than GRs.

And here I am so close to my DS. The man's trying to keep me handheldless.
 
Ahhhhh, Dead to Rights 2 (xbox) trade-in value has finally changed. It's now $20, instead of $27 so it still fetches a good value. It still sucks that because I waited a day, I lost $7. I don't know if they have changed the PS2 version, or if Blockbusters w/o a GR have changed their values.

Also my GR only has the PS2 versions of Battlefield and Spartan in, so I guess they are having some xbox version problems currently. Soul Calibur III was also in today.

Good, no rush for me to get through FE then... it'll probably go up next week to the $30-$32 range. So far I'm enjoying it though, so no plans to trade it. Reminds me of kind of a small-scale Ogre Battle.

Dude, you're showing a little to much irritation, i find it helpful when people post that games did / didnt come in, and seeing as I know for certain that GR watches these threads, I think the feedback is good for them to hear.

I traded the games in around noon (12 ish) and got the lower prices. What time and what store did you trade in at?

please advise if you are trading at a Gamerush or Blockbuster location.

last night, i received $19 for D2RII PS2 at GR and then went to BB and was quoted $16.50.

it seems that is all the difference for now. i don't think the value dropped. but i'll confirm that in an hour myself.

My $16.50 quote was from a GR at about 1:00 this afternoon.
 
I called gamerush...yesterday they told me Battlefield 2 for Xbox would be in today (and according to some, they always get them on Wednesday)...I am now being told that the shipment was delayed and they won't be receiving them until Friday at the earliest. Time to do the buy/return with TRU. Does Gamestop/EB Games let you return an "unopened" game for cashback or credit only? (they are both within walking distance)
 
Grrrr... A new thread always gets made right after I make a long post :D.

Anyway, just to reiterate, I picked up DDR Mario and Metroid Pinball (which is awesome by the way) last night (Tues), so I was pretty happy about that. Still waiting on Ratchet Deadlocked though (haven't called yet today).

I got $12.50 for Xeno II after being quoted $6 at a regular BB. I wonder if that has changed along with D2R2 at GR. Stupid me, I didn't want to push it with the D2R2 since I just did one a few days ago at GR, so I didn't bring that in - I figured we'd be at $27 for the week. I guess the Tuesday prices changes are out the window - they seem to happen any time now.

uzumaki - you can change Untold Legends 2 on the PSP preorder list to a Feb. release as they have a part number for it now (and I have preordered it). Also, you should probably take my snarky 2012 off for Zelda for GC - it will be a GC title and out in 2006, just out some time after March.
 
I was at Circuit City today they had all the new games in Mario Dance, SC3, Ratchet Deadlocked, Sims 2, Battlefield 2, and GTA.

I go to Gamerush nothing...

I saw Mario Dance, SC3, Ratchet Deadlocked, and Sims 2 at my GR today, so if they aren't at yours yet, they soon will be.

I called my Gamerush about a new shipment, and get this, the employee tells me "We received a shipment, but it had no new games in it, oddly enough".

So still, day two, still no GTA, even though it is available at every other store now. Yea, I technically got the game for $20, but I'd gladly pay the extra 30 to be able to play it now. I can't even do a return / rebuy because who knows when GR is going to get in, and that's way too much hassle for me.

If it is not there by Friday I will be furious... this looks like another X-Men Legends 2 PSP fuck up to me. The GR guy told me that "Blockbuster must have pissed someone off, since all our orders are taking forever... we still haven't even got the new DBZ game in yet".
