There are quite a few free and free2play games and mods on steam. You can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

I'm waiting for 75% off or better on Remember Me. :p
Yeah, me too - but since it's capcom - when's that likely to finally happen?

Check with JakeNome. If it's not locked, he should be able to get it for $15, assuming I'm looking at the right price and my basic math skills are still intact.
Hmn - really? I've never dealt with Jake (but know of him from everyone else posting about him). Maybe I will send him a PM...

Yup, I just jumped the gun. Was so surprised that it actually let me through right at noon.

Actually not a bad day for me, considering getting Fallout and Ace Combat, though might wait on AC to see if it gets an MSRP drop
I'm glad you pointed out Ace Combat. My brain processed the word Horizon and associated it with that dumb Shattered Horizon game they always put on sale. I may have to wait for an MSRP drop as well, but it can always go on the wishlist!

Word

Just an FYI for anyone looking at the space empires pack(5$) that I had posted earlier, the one thats unsearchable, you can purchase it now.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/287/

I received the same error about products in my cart when using the first 'add to cart' button.  After clearing the cart and using the 2nd 'add to cart' button, then I was able to actually check out

So if you want them Id grab it now before that pack disappears, dont know how long unsearchable and probably unwanted stuff sticks around before steam does a clean up

---

Also this is the first real time Ive had to deal with steam support, and holy bejesus, it has to be the worst Ive ever talked to, its almost like just dealing with an automated response bot that doesnt understand context or even how to reply to things it asked for.

I told them the error, sent them the link, they asked for a screenshot, sent a screenshot, and they told me my problem must be the error that the store gave me, even though the screenshot blatantly showed that was not the issue and the store has a problem

Thanks to haku67 pointing it out, it looks like they're all 75% off now. The cheapest collection by far is Rome Total War Collection, at $3.24. They all essentially play the same, it's just whichever time period you most enjoy in my opinion. The newer games to have better graphics and more features, but Rome is a good game too. You could also go for the Grand Master Collection and get every piece of every game for a whopping $41. ;)
End up picking the master collection (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/16960/). The base games usually are enough for me and I'm pretty behind on total war games. Last one I played was medieval 1 lol.

so altogether I got that both Witchers, FTL and rock of ages. :) :/

I'm pretty sure we will get an better sale on remember me soon just need to wait more :/

How does Total War not have cards?

It does now and they're dead sexy.

what to do... what to do...

I'm terrible because I want a game cheap, of which I don't have?
Yeah just ignore that shit.

I'm pretty sure genocidal is a human salt-deposit.

At this point I'm not sure if I should add him to my ignore-list or find a deal on a miner's pick and get to work.

FO:NV - Old World Blues is the best DLC that I've ever played on my PERIOD.

{shrug}

Not to bad of a day got Fall of the Samurai DLC for 3$ and then all the Doom games for 5$, I really need to stop this backlogging madness.

Oh, a game just got cards and none have been sold yet? Better make them fucking worthless right off the bat!

Uhh... what?

It was meant to quote about Baldur's Gate and Doom 3's newer editions not being as mod friendly. Tapatalk decided it felt like quoting the OP instead, and my screen is so effing small I didn't notice until after I posted it.

I hope you bought it. I don't want to have to have to perform a trepanation today to let the evil spirits outs.

I don't think I own any GOG game that is on steam (W1/W2 GOG'd steam code excluded) for the simple reason that steam versions always see better sales... $2.50 steam vs $5 GOG.
lol of course I did. My comment was in reply to someone saying all of the sales have been rehashes. Played a bit of it and am already in love. So much like Bioshock it isn't even funny :D

Not that I get this, but how about a spoiler tag on that scroll wheel killing list.... Thanks.
sorry, I'll get on that...

Hi all.

Any thoughts on "Arma II: Combined Operations" and the free Day Z mod available with its purchase at $8.49 (66% off)....?

I've been looking for a controller-friendly persistent shooter.  Is it noob friendly, or controller-smash waiting to happen?  Any fun?

One day, I'm going to murder a Russian teen with a deck of Hoyle cards over this market fiasco. Maybe you can buy a house there for 300 rubles, but here in the US people would pay at least five times more than that for a used rubber that fell out of Kim Kardashian's mouth.

It is pretty much the polar opposite of noob-friendly. I would watch some videos on it.

edit: This one seems like a good one to help you decide:

Even the ones you got dupes of?

Geez - I got multiple cards on:

Prisoner Architect -> 2x

Hitman: Ab -> Skull Splitter 3x

HL2 -> Bring the Fight To Them 2x

SR:TT -> Zimas 2x
Well if you had 6x of something that'd be understandable since there's only 5 levels of badges ...for now, until they raise the level cap in the Steam Expansion.

Bioshock 1 is Underwater-Corridor-Shock.

System Shock 2 is more like SpaceShip-Shock.

Bioshock: Infinite - which I ain't played yet - I guess is Sky-o-shock.

LOL!

{hums the beat to Kanye's "Blame Game" song from MBDTF.}

I bought FO:NV by november 24... 2011... and still backlogged!!. Don't ask me why. I played every fallout game... but NV. Loved them all, so I don't know why I didn't played it yet

When you buy the GOTY (already having vanilla), you get 2 games or one wit all DLCs? I don't want to start my vanilla game and then need to start all over again.

Well, since I think I'm the only one here who played SS1 (& back in the day)

System Shock 1 is SpaceStation-Shock ... no wait it isn't... it's the MFing original!

One game with all the DLC I bought the ultimate pack last summer rather than buying the dlc individually and that's how it worked then.

Sure, you had to bring up SS1....

When the hell is Steam and GOG going to get a re-release of those?

{eyebrow raised}

{infamous MysterD shrug}

I own the base game and all the DLC. When I go to buy the Ultimate Edition, it says I already own it.

That might be because I own all the DLC, but check to make sure you can even buy the Ultimate Edition in the first place.

I wish more games if you owned the original game and bought a re-release (usually w/ base game + Expansions + DLC's), I could just gift the stuff I already own to someone else...
