i wonder how long before till we see unboxing /real gameplay footage goes up on youtube of the xbone. Some "genius" is bound to post it up week/days before the official release date, just for bragging rights, and showing off. good for us consumers. it would not be long till ps4 leak as well.

I'm loving NSMB U. Best Mario since SMW, and in a lot of ways is an homage to that game.

Played around 6 hours and only through 3.5 worlds, and haven't been making a lot of effort for the star coins yet. I did look up the secret world locations and got them for the first 3 worlds, and did the chase thing in each.

Very impressed by the Wii U so far. Downloading a couple demos now (W101 and ZombieU). Going to play a little Pokemon Y and pass out. :D

That's basically my experience with the WiiU also. Loved NSMBU. I'm currently on my second playthrough, first solo playthrough. I've been meaning to pick up the expansion at some point too.

It definitely doesn't get as much on time as my other systems, but whenever I do play it I'm left with a smile on my face.

Yeah, it's definitely washing out the bad taste the Wii left in my mouth. I'd always been an Nintendo first gamer until the Wii as I just hated the motion/pointer controls and lack of HD was killer once I got an HDTV.

The Wii U is what the Wii should have been (at least for core gamers)--HD Nintendo games with motion control stuff as optional peripherals for games that use it. Obviously the Wii worked great for Nintendo $$$ wise last gen. But it also further estranged them from core gamers, as shown by the poor Wii U sales. Which is a shame as it's a really nice console.

They probably should have just scrapped the Tablet--I like it, but it clearly adds too much cost to the system and led to the $350 launch price (and $300 current price). If they had just included a pro controller and Wii mote,launched for $250 with a decent pack in like NSMB it would have probably sold a ton more. Hopefully the price drop and good bundles they have out now will generate a decent uptick in sales this holiday though. I doubt it ever reaches more than GameCube level sales though.

Should be the other way around. People getting it early is generating much needed buzz about the system. MS needs all the positive publicity and goodwill it can get.

busy weekend for me. I don't think I'll have time to game. :p

Also, I took Friday off in case I need to go to Target for B2G1 PS4 games. :p I don't normally do that kind of thing, but I had vacation days I need to burn off (we have "use or lose" policy at work).

I understand retailers getting in trouble for releasing the stuff early, but people who buy the stuff shouldn't get in trouble really since it's not exactly their fault that they got it early.

 
You know melonie mac isn't that famous yet when you type her name into google and feet isn't the top 5 suggestion but shes  getting there.

Just more of the same. I'm super happy they took out claymores doe. That shit totally ruined MW2 which was last one I played I've only played TDM and one match of that stolen gamemode from halo infected.
