Only $10 is being taken off when selecting a PS4 game when you buy a DualShock 4 controller

Haha actually yeah walmart does that. It's what they're kind of known for - letting you return without receipt for current price if it's in the system. 3 times a year. They give you store credit on a gift card. I saw some people just ask to exchange pink to black 3ds without receipt. Isn't that worse than returning an item paid for to the same store. Anyway.
Hollllllyyyy shit. That's freaking insane. I don't even. HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS? SD should've destroyed them by now!

[quote name="Crazyglitcher" post="11535254" timestamp="1392679220"]Heard a story from someone on Black friday regarding cheap controllers. He told me that Sony pretty much never puts their controllers on sale. It's like once in a blue moon you'll see something like that. *shrugs* I got a chuckle out of it. Would be curious to know if it's true as well.[uote]
Well PS4 controllers are $50 all week @ Kmart. The best deals in the past were $35 on BF but Sony runs stuff like their "Play Days" promo & other stores have 10% -20% off all accessories. These happen 5-6 times a yr or so.http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/327032-kmart-weekly-ad-216-to-222-dualshock-4-controller-50-5-off-some-wiiu-games/
Haha, guess the guy wasn't looking hard enough. =P

Man the DS4's feel nice. I tried holding it though the package (still not sure if I want to keep it or not) and it didn't feel like I was holding a giant block in my hands, unlike the PS3 controller.

Yea, they feel great. Glad they changed it up unlike DS 1,2,3. I'm still trying to get used to this damn light on it though.

Ok, I'm confused. I added controller and killzone to cart and total is $99. Am I missing something ? Also where in deal does it day you can get killzone for $2 or two games on discount? Thanks in advance

HAHAHHHAHAHAH I GOT SUCH GOOD COMPENSATION FOR THEIR fuck UP I COUDLNT CARE LESS, I LOVE BBY
HAHAHAH AGAIN AT EVERYONE WHO TALKED SHIT TO ME HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAH

That's dead now. KZ doesn't come out to $2 anymore.

Damn near every retailer offers a B2g1 on new games including BB, Target & Walmart. @Gamer & GC/GCU coupons have thoroughly crushed every other retailers coupon in every way possible. So many cheap & free games it`s hard to keep track off. GCU has had it`s issues galore but so many errors actually work out in favor of the customer & when everything does work you end up with the best deals.

BB is currently the only retailer who actually can get people to pay $30, $60 or $120 for a gaming sub.
BB never holds those. Target has even worse stock than TrU. Never seen one from Wally either but I'm not driving an hour to one.

I highly doubt BB offers anything that would beat other retailers, especially since you have to pay so much extra up front. You're not saving anything in the end when 'buying' coupons.

actually best buy offered a b1 g1 50% select first party Nintendo games not long ago and also they been having 20% off Nintendo cards which no other retailer have had so they been having sales on certain gaming items that no other retailer rarely put on sale and best buy have had b2 get 1 free new games before several in the last few years not often but they have had them

Uhh they just had a B2G1 on new games a couple weeks ago. BB has GCU, which no other competitor has. 20% off new games, and free games/really cheap games if you're still getting @Gamer coupons. No other competitor has that.

BB has a b2g1 a few times a year but apparently you wont shop there so you would never know this. Just a few weeks ago they had b2g1 on ps3 and xbox 360 new games and that stacked with the gcu discount. Cant remember the last time gs had a b2g1 on any new games. Oddly, BB has b2g1 used game sales far more often than GS as well. Toys R Us only seems to do them on "VALUE" games and even then they are B1G1 40 or 50% off...not as good as B2G1

This guy scares me with the medical condition he is always gloating about.
STFU ...gloating....you're so ignorant............or maybe you have trouble with correct grammar and don't know proper syntax....maybe what you meant "This guys scares me with the medical condition, he is always gloating about." as in im always going about gloating....so you either missed a comma or you're an ignorant asshole, either way, youre kinda dumb aren't ya? "never" LOL Dude you clearly don`t know what you`re talking about BB just had a b2g1 less than 3 months ago
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/325010-sunday-ad-video-game-deals-126-to-201-b2g1-free-regularly-priced-360ps3-games-at-best-buy/

And you`re wrong in regards to buying coupons too, to the best of my knowledge BB is the only retailer to ever have a coupon deal that allowed you score 5 games & the fully paid membeship for less than the price of a $60 game(not including tax). http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/281886-dead-march-2012-gamer-10-batman-ac-15-ff-xiii-2-5-me2-rage-bulletstorm/

I`ve been GCU since day 1 & between coupons(free/paid) no other retailer has offered more free to $15 games(none clearance) than BB & it`s not even close. That doesn`t even include RZ pts & bonuses which when utilized correctly could get you a free or supremely reduced console.

I agree with enuf. Target is also another good place for B2g1 sales. They have them at least a few times a year as well. Those in conjunction with some of the coupons that print off the catalina have produced truly epic sales. Not to mention a red card that takes 5% off almost anything in conjunction with easy price matches to other retailers. So if that guy thinks all retailers suck where does he buy his games? Guess he is a digital only guy....

Agreeing with Enuf makes me feel dirty. But Best Buy has been the best retailer for gamers for a long time. The up front on the new GCU may change that but most CAG's are locked in for two years. A lot of the goodness has been due to bugs and mistakes on their end, but it's still been epic and GCU has, historically, paid for itself 50x over. Even the $120 sub will probably be a money maker over two years for a lot of CAG's.

How epic have the last two years been? Insane!

Ridiculously cheap games with coupons (Arkham City, Mass Effect 2, some re-sellable turds, even recent stuff like Rayman Legends for Vita and AC4), straight up free games (TTT, Deadliest Warrior, etc), paid AAA rentals after pre-order promos/post purchase PM/inflated trade in values, crazy gift card offers that worked after pricematches (I walked out with 6 then-new AAA titles including Skyrim Legendary and BLOPs 2 for under $25 out of pocket during a PM/GC bonanza), some epic B1G2 and B2G2 sales bugs on the web front end, compete refund of pre-Black Friday purchases after GCU didn't apply, and the list goes on and on and on.

The deals have been so ridiculous that I sometimes I feel like I'm going to bankrupt them. No other retailer comes close.

Maybe your stores differ. My local target has a terribly small selection. I've walked out with nothing during their last 2 B2G1's. BB never has any kind of sales. I check this site all the time and their weekly ads are lucky to take $5 off a game. Usually they're listed at retail price which is no good. As mentioned the last couple sales I did try to take advantage of all I received was a hassle because they don't honor anything. At the same time I hear all these horror stories about GS while mine are pretty good. Guess it comes down to who works there.

Oh no I hate digital. I shop when games reach the $30 price range. Doesn't matter new or used, whoever gets there first. 5% isn't enough. B2G1's on $60 games or only on select systems isn't enough either. Paying a sub to buy discounts makes no sense as I'm not a flipper. I buy enough for myself, that's it. I would easily rank BB and Target as the worst places to buy games as far as sales and stock go.

TROLL

Why? Look at how bad next week is. $40 is pretty much retail price for last gen games. A $15 GC requires you to buy both a full price game and overpriced guide. I already own my U and PS4 for this gen so those offers don't pertain to me. There's truly nothing compelling about BB.

And I've wondered why people hype that store and hate GS. It's the opposite for me.

There are things called "unadvertised sales". Best Buy has a lot of them.

You should go join unedcuatedgamer. I'm sure GS enjoys your money.

Just let the guy think what he wants, lol. Value is different to everyone so no reason to get mad at the guy if he doesnt share the same outlook.

Yeah I'm sure the employee said that....

"If it mattered the receipt would say"

Get out of here... I don't have a problem with what you did but don't justify it by making a conversation up.
verbatim. i didnt feel any need to justify it, i was just clarifying with her, and specifically asked if it mattered that the game was on sale because of the controller purchase.

(i interview people as part of my job and have to commit to memory far more complex conversations than a short CSR convo...so yeah, it's how it went down, but thanks for calling me a liar! lol. this thread.)

Guys, like I told you your stores must be different. Not that I'm a GS regular because I tend to find new games in my price range before used prices drop far enough. GS is only good for games I missed and during their B2G1. They suck as far as sales on new items. What good are unadvertised sales? Last thing I'll do when their advertised sales fail to bring me in would be wander to the store more often.

Honestly I don't even like the mall where BB and Target are. So whatever.

Agreeing with Enuf makes me feel dirty. But Best Buy has been the best retailer for gamers for a long time.
Why? Everything you said is the exact same thing I`ve saying for 3-4 yrs now. But while people wasted so much time debating it me & alot others were scoring deal after deal. Do you remember all the pro Amz people who said $40 tax free was better than paying $60 + tax day 1 w/$20 credit then pm`ing down to $40 or less w/i 60 days? And that was pre-GCU but there was $10 for spending $150 along with RZ pts. Kmart had there little coupon train run but since they don`t take trades you were still stuck spending real money.

And until another retailer can offer something equal to this which is 2nd to only cold hard cash they`ll always be behind. BestBuy pretty much gave people a free PSV/PS3/X360/3DS or a $200 PS4 & $300 XB1. Right now there`s people debating over a XB1 w/a $50 GC had they just bought a $500 BB GC 2 weeks later they could`ve scored the XB1 for $450 in mid Jan.

If you know how to shop nobody`s touching BB.

@Lottagames2
Maybe you live near the worst BB location in America or something & I just realized you`re new here. But those of us who`ve been around CAG will tell you that the Best deals from BB are NEVER IN THE AD. @Gamer/GCU coupons that make $40-$60 games $15 or less sometimes free & this very thread had super cheap games. Over the last month there was at least 2 games under $10. And TBH with price matching some of there weekly ad deals were truly epic tomb raider, dead island & Skyrim legendary come to mind.

Dude, While its true that BB's advertised sales are lacking, most of the epic BB sales are online/unadvertized store wide clearances-temp-price drops. Even most of the B2G1 sales are non-spectacular (on full $60 or under cheap garbage), the true deals are the onlin/register errors. I'm banned from online and even I can take advantage on a few of the epic online sale/price-coupon errors.

If you seriously think Best Buy is terrible than you need to spend more time on this site. They kill it with deals and GS is by far the worst retailer. They get voted #1 for shittiest retailer on CAG every year. I suggest you stay out of the Best Buy threads cause they aren't for you then.

Go to GS and enjoyed your NEW GUTTED games. By the way GS SUCKS!

GS isn't really that bad. I feel Toys R Us is way worse than Gamestop. Walmart is crap outside of Black Friday.
Really no store is crap I've done well everywhere GS was responsable for my only el hoardo moment & in resulted in a super cheap vita. The $10 MK vita sale when BB where BB was offering $28 w/GCU. I spaced my 10 copies purchased over several stores including TRU/Target/Walmart/GS/BB. And after everything the $60 giftcard GCU offer didn`t work so they took $60 off the system instead.
With Walmart pm`ing & their staff being true idiots double dipping there happens alot same with Target.
GS has done well by me in our area there`s like 1-2 in every mall/shopping center so stock is rarely an issue(nor is getting a complete copy). I`m also a little biased to GS since my company does alot of deliveries to them which keeps me in the loop at the stores.

For a CE or niche title GS comes in handy also for those who want sealed copies only some GS will hold sealed titles for you similar to what comic shops do. Have them put yours in a "hold box" until you pick up your pre-order the only thing that sucks is you`ll have $50-$200 locked into GS pre-orders until the games go on sale or hit your buy price which could take awhile since it`s GS. But some of those pre-order DLC`s sell for so much when done correctly the $50-$200 will be store credit anyways.
Hell 7-eleven had a COD title, LFD2 & some other game for $12.99 each I got damn near $80 from GS & BB for them.

but at least WalMart and toys r us gives u the option to price match even if its only to select retailers. Last time I checked, gamestop does not price match.
walmart only price match a physical ad so they sucks cause for instance you couldn't price match no good best buy ad at walmart cauae most the good sale is online and walmart won't price match it

wow a lot of bestbuy fanboys around here . you people are stuck in the past

no more coupons and they the price for gcu went up 300 %

it's never smart to be loyal to a corporation based on the past

Walmart is crazy they say
"We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad."
Then the store wants you to show proof asking for you show them the price, show it from your phone or on their tablets you`re in electronics. Then they match it LOL.
http://www.corporate.walmart.com/ad-match-guarantee

The best thing ever is their reasoning for not matching walmart.com they don`t consider them competition. Duh walmart your website & your b&m store are the same why else could I do in-store p/u LOL

Why are prices different in stores vs. online?

The merchandise and prices available on our website do not reflect the merchandise and prices available in our stores. Our stores will not match prices with our online store (or other online stores) because we do not consider them to be in competition with our retail stores.

Every time I ask no matter which walmart or even what state since I travel alot they always say it has to be a physical ad cause if I print out a print out off my computer before heading to store or even pull it up on my phone they won't accept it as proof saying it a only price and they don't match online
