I suppose I shouldn't point out that when it gets bundled most likely it will have both Steam and DRM free options ("The best of both worlds! ;) ") because then that wouldn't let you feel better about your GOG purchase. Whoops, too late.

PS - No one here (except one person :roll:) likes DRM-free. The more games you get the more of a PITA it becomes and the easier it is to forget about them and where you got them from. You'll see.

We just got a puppy.  Her name is Zoe.  She's 10 weeks old and is a german shepherd lab mix.  We adopted her from the shelter.  She's big for 10 weeks and is a handful.

Thanks, I was able to grab a couple of the linked ones. (I'm at work and can't redeem the manual keys)

Side note: why hasn't Valve added in-browser key redemption? Even the fantastic Origin has this.

Desura too. I've been bitching about that for years. It's really lame they can't manage that.

You can actually activate keys through your phone with some kind of desktop connect app like Team Viewer or Splashtop or Google even has it's own Google Desktop now, but you have to keep your PC running all day and it's kind of a huge pain in the ass to do. Plus it takes so long it's no good for key drops.

Remember when they first switched and everyone got all up in arms about no more keys? I actually feel icky about going back to them now; the direct activation was so much more convenient.  Ah Valve, continuing their streak of consistently making things worse for the user experience.

I'm going to guess that this will be something that only affects future bundles. I'd be surprised if Valve made it impossible to redeem existing bundle links.

Humble said they're changing all current links to text based keys because Steam was removing the feature altogether.

It makes no sense - I think Valve just didn't like the idea of these direct activations being giftable.

4Real. It's Indie Gala. If it did turn out you have to use actual keys for any redemptions going forward don't count on them getting their shit straight to add them to ever single one of their kajillion bundles going a year back.

It still requires someone to update their site and I don't trust them to do it in anywhere near a timely fashion for old bundles they aren't currently making money off of. Remember how long it took Groupees to restore their old files? They sure weren't in a hurry with that.

Well I guess if the above is correct then we are okay. Still sucks though.

Where can we go to yell and bitch at Valve over this? :p

and same goes for every games that require extensive modding to run. Why should developer hire Mr.XYZ to join their team? Making a mess and got someone else fixing your shit for you while you collect cash and pay that sucker nothing? PRICELESS!

 
Well, I can no longer redeem IG purchases to my steam account, and can't re-connect my steam account to my IG profile either, so there's that.

edit: links reverted to keys. horrible, awful, spreadsheet clogging keys.

*Unless they did actually give advance warning, and Humble/IG/Groupees just didn't bother to let us know.
