You might have missed the part where we were discussing whether or not games could be sold and/or traded outside of the GameStop or other major used game retailer market. We know that it won't block used games. They say there is no fee. How do they intend to keep you from playing the game on...

But what if I hate Call of Duty: Ghosts and Cancerman loves it, and I go "Yo, dude, you're alright. Take this PoS off my hands for twenty bucks." We skip GameStop entirely. If that's not still possible, I'm still grumpy. (I'm actually grumpy anyway, the used games sales was only part of my nerd...

Yeah, but it's like confooscious (SP?) said, there are millions of idiots that'll run out and buy it without a clue. I'd bet every cent I own that Amazon reviews will read like this, "OMGWTF I can't play my friend's copy of Call of Duty!? WTF Micro$oft!?!?!?!?!?" I'll be completely honest...

Yeah, but Major Nelson isn't saying anything, either. He has said, "You'll still be able to trade and resell games." He also said, "Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friend’s house – should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that...

Ok, time for an honest report here. If this really does go the way its looking, and MS has restrictions on used games, 24 hour online check in requirement, and always on Kinect sensor. Sony, on the other hand, continues business as usual, no used game restrictions, no online requirement, no Eye...

Did you see quotation marks anymore in my post? I wasn't quoting anything. I'm fairly certain they don't mention video games in 1984. Furthermore, I'm going to keep referencing 1984 now just so you'll throw another tantrum about it. I don't own any Apple products, but you're exactly right...

But it does show where Microsoft's head is at. I mean honestly, have you heard anything about the Kinect or Xbox One that didn't sound exactly like Microsoft trying to create 1984? You must be connected. Your games are restricted. We are monitoring you. Freedom is a lie. You will serve us...

I'm sure this mostly has to do with the estimates of GameStop making two billion dollars in used game sales. I can totally imagine EA execs sitting at their long table going, "But... that's our money... we make games... give us... give us..." The real question is what happens to game...

Why are they going to have a hit? I mentioned this in my earlier post, but why do we need a box that does everything a PC does without any of the benefits of actual PC gaming? All the restrictions, all of the BS, but no modding, no community patches, no backwards compatibility. You may get a...

No, but the launch didn't lead me to accepting it, either.

So GameStop continues to thrive, but game lending, rentals, and private selling become a thing of the past. How exactly is this not anti-consumer again? Giant corporations win, consumers lose.

I'm against 90% of what Microsoft has announced so far, but this? I mean you can get an HDMI computer monitor for around $150.00 that will work perfectly. Sooner or later, you've got to make the change. You make it sound like 500GB is a large HDD. The Witcher 2, Batman Arkham City, Dragon...

I still read books in mostly print form because they're, well... They're just better for bathroom reading. Besides, if I took my Kindle Fire HD into the bathroom, I'd just be watching YouTube/Amazon/Hulu/HBO Go instead of actually reading. I've actually only played around around 30% of the...

I'd still want all my movies and video games on a disc. Music is one thing, it's 12MB a song at most, movies can run upwards of 5-10GB and games can go over 20GB. Now imagine my HDD fails and I have to redownload the 200+ games I already own at around 15-20GB a game. Fuck that.

Just as a point of fact, I'm not making a decision today. I really hope all of this turns out to be the biggest mistake in gaming history short of the Virtual Boy, and I can grab an Xbox One and not lose my 50k+ gamerscore. (I also really prefer the Xbox controller to the Playstation...
