I agree with a really good office chair if you do not have a couch / TV set up near your computer.  You can get good office chairs for not a ton of money on Craigslist or somewhere similar.  Sometimes offices are getting rid of furniture, and they try to get rid of their existing furniture...

The turntable is the same, and the game uses any USB mic, so it will plug into your PS3. I do not know if this set comes with the mic - I thought only the party bundle did.

Off makes it so that What's New does not display when you turn on the system. Unfortunately, it does not disable it. I was playing around with it, and it is not terrible because you have your three most recently played games in there. Though I could do without all of the ads and the PS Store...

Well Monday is the 18th, so if it does stay on schedule, you should be able to get in on this. But yeah I do not think this is worth the $10, at least in its current form.

Custom music for the menu is available through the XMB. When you are in a menu, hit the PS button and choose your song.

If you like Time Crisis, I think you will enjoy it. Some complain that the graphics are too much like the PS2, but I do not think it is a big deal. It is definitely a good rail shooter, in my opinion.
