I was gonna jump on some of the games in the Atari All-Stars promo, but it turns out my debit card doesn't allow for international purchases. Damn it.

So where should I start with the Wing Commander games? The bundle of 1 + 2? It kind of seems like story plays a pretty significant part in the series, so would it be worth it to get all 1-4?

It's not that they won't work after a while; it's just that you had to have installed the games before a certain date to play them. You also couldn't reinstall after that date.

For some reason, there seems to be some problem between the game and my keyboard. The character will respond about 5 seconds after I press the key, and will keep performing that action after I let go. Sort of strange. I haven't seen any ads, either, though.
