I have the best buy rewards credit card that gives 6% back (via reward points to use on future BB purchases) on purchases... Doesn't cut the tax but at least it offsets it to a more normal 3% in California for me.... Hope that helps.

I think it's a blast... Got me hooked too. As far as I can tell, they start at $2 after haggling and drop about 10 cents a game... All the way down to around $1.50 No regrets. Totally worth it IMO... But no club nintendo points as far as I could tell..
