I was told yesterday that ALL LA / OC stores are closing, with two exceptions,....Baldwin Park and Santa Fe Springs (stand alone store). That totally sucks :(

Went to one of the long beach targets, and they has a new boxart slipcover over the old boxart and its rang up 19.99. It was in a keeper case so I could see what the reg version would ring for. bastards LOL

The Target in Long Beach, CA (33rd / Atlantic off the 405) had several copies of Prince of Persia for 14.98 and HSM 3 w/ pad for 9.98 (good for the pad if nothing else).

The WalMart in Baldwin Park, CA (Puente and the 10 fwy) had alot of the sony brand blue PS2 controllers and the two pack of PS2 memory cards for $5 each (I think theyre broken down from bundles). There were a couple other acc's for the same price but nothing of great interest :)

I saw 6 on the shelf saturday at the CCIty in Lakewood, CA (near Long Beach) in the parking lot of the Lakewood Mall :) They are marked 179, but ring up 99,....happy hunting :)

In response to the people commenting on the overhaul of the game section, it will mean more games for some, less for others. In a full scenario, the Wii gets one extra glass case for games (total of 3), and three bays for acc's and "big box" games. DS stays the same, and everyone else loses...

I think the reason alot of games are being closed out so soon after launch, is that Target is getting ready to shift their game settup. They will soon be changing how many cases are given to Nintendo / Sony / Microsoft. So maybe they just need to make room for a shrinking amount of Sony cases...

The Target in Baldwin Park, CA (off the 10 @ Baldwin Park Blvd in Los Angeles) has a shit-ton (yeah, its an actual unit of measurement) of Scene-It w/ buzzers for $14.98 :) They are on the back of an aisle on the opposite side of the dept from the game cases.

Was it a new location? A lot of times, new stores are given a week or so of running that promotion to help kick their sales in and create a customer base.
