Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Just got fable II from target for 13.xx however what makes this hot is, yes it was the platinum edition with the extra dlc. I had to scan it twice to make sure. Obviously they havent changed the SKU for the new version. Thought I'd give folks a heads up as I was looking for just the regular edition and lucked up. Id say YMMV as always but this was in the place the regular fable II's were.
Is that this game http://www.amazon.com/Fable-2-Limit..._2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1269991802&sr=1-2

because i am pretty sure i have seen it at my target for $19.99

The one I bought today was this one:
Fable-2-Platinum-Hits-Xbox-360

Seriously it says it includes knothole island and see the future in a circle on the back.
I was hesitant when I saw it in the std fable II spot for 19.99, but I had to scan it and see. Sure enough it was priced at the clearance fable ii price.
The majority of Targets here in Houston have them behind glass; I'll have to ask them to scan it for me.
See the OP for info on how to get the UPC and print out your own barcode to scan, so that you don't have to bother with getting them to get it out and scan it for you.

Found the :psp: PSP Monster Cable Component Cable [DCPI 207-00-0916] today for $15.04. Seems weird -- I thought prices ending in 4 were supposed to be final drops? I don't know why they'd only drop this one by 30% before closing it out rather than putting it through the whole clearance cycle. Oh well, it was the last one (which was why I didn't want to wait for another drop), so I guess I saved them the effort regardless.

Also got :psp: PSP Screen Shields (2-pack, Psyclone brand) [DCPI 207-00-0833] for $6.98. Not an astounding price (it's around what I've paid for them from Amazon in the past), but I needed a new one and haven't gotten around to ordering, so it's convenient anyway.

Finally, grabbed :ds: Bangai-O Spirits [DCPI 207-02-0659] for $7.48. There were a bunch of other DS games on clearance, but most of them were shovelware so I didn't really note them.

I checked the Stroudsburg, PA Target today and I only found copies of SW: Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for the PC for $7.48 a copy. They had about 10 or so scattered over 2-3 clearance shelves.

Ha, thanks cane, I was not aware of that :)

I just came back and did not find Fable II PH at that price monkey found it at. But I did notice that all copies of the :360: version of GTA IV: Episodes of Liberty City were gone  I looked it up on Target and at the moment the price is ending in 0.

So was the price the 29.99 Ive seen it retail at? I'm not sure why it was at the clearance price as it was on the shelf with a 19.99 tag on it. Has anyone else had any luck with this? This was actually the first time I'd seen the PH version of the game. Ive only ever seen the std version in the stores.

I found it outside the glass with the other platinum hits and shovelware. Yeah, I scanned it and it rang up $29.99.

Nothing good at my Targets. I was watching one copy of PSP Final Fantasy 1 at my main target for 2 months, and the weekend I actually buy a PSP, it was gone.

If anyone finds any good deals on PSP clearance games, PM me.

I am looking to buy some wii and psp games for my nephews. But, I am running a little low, hoping I can pick up these clearance titles for them. Please pm me for clearance titles in Peoria/Glendale. It would be a great help.

I saw a Seagate 500gb HD on clearence at about 50 I believe. Except it was the model that needed an AC adapter, still looking for just a usb powered drive.

Normal price at my Target. Scanned it myself.

Definitely worth picking up if it hits $45. I have one of these and it's very well put together.

Picked up a copy of COD:W@W for Wii for a measly 9.98. There was at least one copy left. Saw some imitation wavebirds for 10.48, some DS accessories, R&CF:ToD for 20.98 (greatest hits version) and lots of PSP games (GTA:VCS for 13.98 was the highlight of that group).

This was the Bird Road location here in Miami.

First report from Target. But Best Buy did start discounting these a couple of weeks ago. With a limited coupon code they sent out, folks were picking up the console LE's for $50 (I bought a few myself). Target may be following suit.

Weird price, was it on clearance or did it have the as-is sticker on it? I was thinking about getting one of these when it did go on clearance but the security devices have a way of screwing up the box.

All of the Best Buy's in my area seem to still have quite a few of these. I've seen some here & there at Target, but they were full price the last time I checked.

It had the red clearance sticker price. I found that they are using a larger, white sticker for other clearance items however.

And you're right about those spider security devices. The two copies of Bioshock LE they had were horribly mangled by the devices, but I don't really mind as long as the contents inside are in sealed and tip top condition.

nothing worth mentioning but guitar hero 2 (ps2), and wii games but, i did get 2 microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse for $9.94 each

Ever since that huge selection I saw a few months ago, there's nothing. Last time I was there, there literally was nothing. Today, they had Wii Carnival Games (they had it by the Wii games marked down to $20), Sonic Unleashed (PS3) and that Clone Wars game for PC.

They had a RB1 drumkit for $15 for PS2/3. They also had 2 RB1 guitars for PS2/3 for $28 and a GH Les Paul for PS3 $33. Seemed odd the drum kit was almost half the price of the guitars.

I picked up Rock Band 2 $14.95 and a wireles guitar for $9.98 both for ps2 at the MB Target. These are great Easter gifts for the gf's little cousins. :)

I also found Wii Cheer 2 for $20. I may not like the Wii, but that is one of the franchises that should be played. And I'm not ashamed to admit that.

My target has been pretty well cleaned out for weeks. I'm really hoping I can pick up the $200 electric razor for 50 sometime in the next month cause the video game section is filled with nothing but Wii shovelware.

Bioshock 2 LE is the only game on my radar right now. Unfortunately it's not dropping here

Way too many Wii shovelware titles. Was tempted to pick up a PS2/3 Rock Band drum set for $14 + tax but decided not to. Otherwise still nothing worth noting.

PS2 games, accessories, etc. are at 30% off at the 8 Mile and Haggerty (Michigan) Target.

Everything PS2 related was at 30%. All games, controllers, DJ Hero and Band Hero Bundles, all cables, etc.

One of my local stores has a TON of Nextar ME GPS units on clearance for $83.98, or 30% off. 057-16-0016. Reviews are pretty mediocre, but I might bite when the price drops again. Anyone else seen these, possibly for less?

I saw those GPS units at the Balboa Ave Target. As of last Saturday, there were at least 5 of them at the same price point. Personally, I like Garmins, but if they ever go to 75% off, I wouldn't mind having one of these.

I may be wrong, but wasn't the MW2 Xbox 360 bundle on clearance awhile ago? They have about 3 bundles in the glass case at one of my local Targets.

I forgot to check on the price of the Buzz lightyear to see if it dropped yesterday.

MIne had the tomtom 130 and 130s on clearance along with that nextar.

You know it's a sad state of affairs when I park right next to Target, go to the Lowes and don't even bother to walk into Target to check video game clearances.

It's like a clearance dust bowl everywhere!

Hey there fellow Los Angeles CAGamers :) This morning, I was at the Culver City Target (the newer one, inside the mall on Sepulveda), and they had ALOT of the Nintendo point cards in the clamshell packaging on clearance for $13.98 each :) It is the new settup for gaming, so there are some near the xbox and psn cards, and the rest are located over a few aisles in a weird random section with some gaming acc's. There were about 40 of them when I got there, and I bought 8 myself, so plenty more for the picking :) ENJOY :)
Just got back from Target. Anyways the MW2 bundles were still $399.99... I was hoping for at least 30% off:(
Buy them, then take them to other Targets where the price may be lower, tell the guy in customer service you want to put it on a different credit card.

Any chance the new PS3 Greatest Hits titles go down to $12.49 like Ratchet and Clank and GT5 Prologue did when they went Greatest Hits.
This is $19.99 regular price at best buy.
Saw that game for 7.98 in duarte, ca target 2 copies. was tempted to get it but i've never seen gameplay and decided against it. =P but it looked like fun.

Went to the Target in Poway, CA to check for LBP price drop and no dice. But I did score the GTA Ballad of Gay Tony/Lost and the Damned strategy guide for 4.xx. I think this is a huge YMMW because it was the only one that was a beat up a little and I scanned a mint copy and it came up 20 bucks. They also had a healthy amount of DS/PS2/Wii shovelware but noting notable.

I thought about this too.

From what I remember, those were the clearance prices of the games and Target didn't adjust the price immediately when the new ones got shipped in.

I cannot remember if any of the new Greatest Hits games were ever on clearance.

just a heads up, i bought season 13 of south park yesterday at target for 17.99 and i thought it had a code for the south park game, but it was for some extra bonus dlc, don't know what it is yet, but i think it is professor chaos and extra levels (just bc the game is 50% off). there has been nothing at my targets, i did see a rock band drum 360 for 14.99. did buy hellboy 2 blu ray for 9.99, it was on sale not clearance, figured i mention these since there ain't sh*t on clearance, lol, please don't bitch.
