Just to report into the thread. I live in the Northern Virginia area. The price on the Space Police Galactic Enforcer set is holding steady at $70 in the Target that has them available in my area (Falls Church store... the others didn't have it in stock). Its a shame... I would probably buy...

They really fulfill two different purposes. If you need to game without disturbing others, then you should get the X1's. If this doesn't matter, pick up the wireless headset. That being said, I have the X1 headset and would recommend them.
