I've been Silver for the last few years. The "Early Access" event is always a cluster fuck. Servers overload, sales don't complete. I've been able to get doorbusters a few times, but most of the time it's a fail. Just like Amazon's Lightning Deal price matches of doorbusters. Gone in a few seconds to a lucky few. More of a lottery than an orderly event.

And to those wondering about BF4 and PSN+, we won't know for sure but I would assume not because they probably want some in-store only deals to get you in the store (to buy more stuff :p). I do agree that Amazon will most likely match BF4, not sure of PSN+. It is all speculation at this point though!

Last year was my first stab at it and I had no issues at all getting a 55" 3D LED TV. I bought a few other items here and there, but I didn't run into anything that ran out of stock. Yes, the site was slow as hell for a few hours, but I'd take that inconvenience over waiting in a line for hours.
 
As of right now I'm planning a trip to gamestop for about 5-6 things. Best buy will be a stop but I'm not even worried about the doorbusters. Im not going at 6 pm that's dumb. Earliest I'll go might be target at 8
 
Dam that 55 inch led tv looks tempting at best buy I'm currently rocking a 50 inch 720p Panasonic plasma and with the new consoles coming out it's the perfect time for an upgrade

Thank you for creating this thread, OP! It's almost that time of year again. I think this will be the first Black Friday in about 4 or 5 years where I won't be spending big. The only deals I'm hoping for are for BioShock Infinite, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider, Saint's Row IV, God Of War : Ascension, and Batman : Arkham Origins. I think that's it. Everything else I'm holding off on until I get a PS4.

Has anyone bought pre owned controllers from GameStop before, and if you have, did they work well? I broke down and bought the Mario/Luigi WiiU yesterday before it was completely sold out, and I'm looking to get a couple of WiiMotes.

Does anybody know if GameStop will be selling the Mario Wii U bundle in store on Black Friday? It's only available online as of right now, and I don't want any of the other bundles.
 
All I really want for Black Friday is a good deal on GTA V.... I'm a little surprised we have yet to see one*!

*Not a KMART shopper/member... that B2G$30 deal doesn't really do anything for me.  :whistle2:|

 
I don't "need" a tv. I still am using that Playstation display as my computer monitor. It works great still, aside from shutting off for 2 seconds randomly.

I have no decent tv in the living room however and am considering that Insignia 39". Of course to even remotely stand a chance of getting one, I'd have to camp out @ least 12 hours ahead of time.

That or try to snag a PS3 bundle. Right now I just have a Wii and my gaming PC. I had the Infamous black friday  bundle from last year, however had to sell it back in May.

 
Right now, GameStop is the only store that has anything I want for Black Friday. Splinter Cell Blacklist and possibly, a PSN+ card. Waiting on Best Buy to see what they have even though I doubt that I would go there. Would most likely wait for cyber Monday to use my BB gift cards.

I just broke down and bought the bundle yesterday, as it was only available at Toys R Us as far as I could see. They did, however, give you 25% off if you opened a new charge card with them. I haven't seen it on sale at all, except for the Meijer's ad, whose closest store is in the next state from mine. I think the bundle most widely offered will be what we've already seen: the Skylanders bundle.

Not sure where you are but they are readily available here. Too bad you missed the Kmart WiiU Mario/Luigi bundle deal last week. $30 in points back combined with the Kmart Gift Card promotion and I got it for $250 out of pocket and $30 in points back in addition(I did have a 10% back in points on a $100 or more electronics purchase as well to stack with it-that covered the tax).

 
Im looking for a $120 white Vita and a good TV deal. I moved from smaller area of Iowa with one BB in town of like 40,000 to a Omaha offshoot where this town is alone 45,000

I fear I wont get any good doorbuster deals....the 12+ hours I would have to wait ruin the values IMO.

 
I can't wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. It's my favorite time of the year. I always do all my Xmas shopping, and usually buy presents for myself too. The last two years, for one reason or another, I hardly bought anything for myself. This year, I'm looking to play catch up. *rubs hands together*

 
Actually excited to see what/if Old Navy does a free game giveaway this year again. I went the last two years and got the game for free after simply returning the cloths the next day.

 
Is this like the first year that Black Friday ads haven't been out on the internet weeks or months in advance? I remember previous Black Friday ads being on the internet way before November even hit.

Don't you remember last year? A year ago at this time there also weren't any great deals/bundles on the Vita announced, then Amazon announced their amazing white Vita/ACIII:Liberation/PASBR/4GB memory card/PS+ bundle the week of Thanksgiving (it might've even been on Thanksgiving Day, if memory serves).

Obviously, there's no guarantee something like that will happen again, but saying things like "RIP Vita" at this point is silly.

Many companies, especially Amazon, don't announce all of their BF deals this early, and many of the best deals aren't advertised much in advance (if at all), and many aren't featured in BF ads, leaked or otherwise.

I look at the deals and im like eh. But you know an rc helicopter for 15.. i really dont need one but that could be fun. and then I remember that these are black friday deals. Im not going out friday to buy them.

 
I agree.  Just saw Target's ad and it is pathetic when it comes to games.  Just horrible.  The ad section for games does say "These games and More" at a certain price, but if those are the best ones they put in their ad, I don't have any desire to see the "and more..." games.
