I might pick up that 360 Pro at Walmart before boxing day and go back for a pricematch afterwords. I was really hoping for a $100 arcade though.

From my email inbox,

A general head's up that FutureShop will have some on-line only boxing day deals. On December 23rd there will be an online flyer. Shopping begins the 24th at 8pm EST for the web-only deals.

The email recommends updating or creating an account if necessary. No indication what any of the deals are, but I guess the 23rd will reveal all.

I saw the Boxing Day flyer for Best Buy :)
The 9.99 Blu-Ray titles are KILL BILL VOL.1, KILL BILL VOL.2 and RESERVOIR DOGS. The rest are 14.99 I believe.
The GH III bundle is WITH 2 (!!!!!!!) WIRELESS GUITARS.
I can't wait :)

Good luck with that. Usually stores do not PM boxing day deals.

When does the flyer get released cause maybe i could possibly PM that deal on Christmas eve at Futureshop.
it is gh3 not world Tour and the flyer is 4 pages. Price drop on the other stuff (not in flyer) does not happen until that morning so don't expect to see it on here.
Oh. {sad}

I want EB Games to have more of those sick $10 new X360/PS3 games like last year's boxing day, except now with a bigger library to choose from.

Has anyone seen the leaked flyers for BB or Futureshop I know RFD isn't supposed to post them early or something. Looking for a new gaming tv so I know this isn't exactly gaming related but still thought I'd ask.

Ummm...for Best Buy all I can remember is a 47" LG for $999. Theres also another one for $1299 or $1399, but I don't remember if thats Toshiba, Panasonic or something else.

Not sure if Amazon.ca jumped the gun on a Boxing Day sale, but for whatever reason, a bunch of Atlus USA titles are on sale now.

DS
Draglade - $19.99 (reg. $29.99)
Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns - $19.99 (reg. $29.99)
Master of the Monster Lair - $19.99 (reg. $29.99)
Summon Night: Twin Age - $19.99 (reg. $29.99)

PS2
Baroque - $24.99 (reg. $39.99)
Dokapon Kingdom - $24.99 (reg. $39.99)

PSP
Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone - $29.99 (reg. $39.99)

Wii
Baroque - $24.99 (reg. $39.99)
Dokapon Kingdom - $24.99 (reg. $39.99)
Trauma Center: New Blood - $14.99 (reg. $49.99 according to Amazon, but it's been this price for a while)

Xbox 360
Operation Darkness - $19.99 (reg. $59.99)
Spectral Force 3 - $19.99 (reg. $59.99)
Zoids Assault - $39.99 (reg. $59.99)

Just to clarify my Boxing Day sale info in the first post... it's actually:

Buy 2 get 1 free on EVERYTHING (new/used games, plushies, accessories, etc.)
* There are a few minor exceptions, but nothing important is excluded.

Maybe Amazon.ca are just finally catching up on the huge Atlus sale that was on amazon.com not too long ago. Too bad their 360 games are crap. I recommend Dokapon Kingdom for a fun little multiplayer game.
I was really hoping for a $100 arcade though.
 Almost as funny as the guy who wanted a $200 PS3.

Future Shop

PC WoW Battlechest $19.99
80GB PS3 with BR Remote $399.99
PS3 NFL Tour, PS3 NBA Live 08, 360 Tiger 08, PS3 Fifa Street 3, $24.99 each
Wii 10-in-1 Pro Gamer's Kit $29.99
PS3 Wired Racing Wheel $29.99
360 GHIII Bundle $59.99
Wii Remote + Nunchuk $49.99
360 Pro Holiday bundle with Halo 3 and Stranglehold $259.99
Is Rogers Plus just the Rogers locations that aren't Rogers Wireless; the ones that rent video games and movies?
yep

damn I want those 20$ atlus 360 rpgs. Even though they apparently suck. And wow Future Shop is stone cold for deals. I was hoping something would strike me as decent for the video game stuff.

Was there any good Blu rays for 14.99 ? I really wanna pick up Jay and Silent Bob for that price.

I have a question about the amazon.ca sales on boxing day? It is usually just a select group of items marked down or something like 10% everything?

If anyone's looking for something other than a TV, blank discs or hypothermia there's no reason to get up at 2-3 AM to line up with a bunch of morons who'll cut in line anyway.

Gaming/DVD deals will be plentiful, there's Xboxes galore, Lord and retail staff here know that there's crates of 360s littering each store. And we've (and I'm sure everyone else has) been receiving movies for the Boxing Day specials since last week, and the last thing on someone with blue balls has on his mind is getting Kill Bill Vol 1 for half off.

Yeah, my dads only going at 6 am because I'm working starting 6 am and I want Guitar Hero. He has to drive me there, otherwise we wouldn't go considering its really the only incredible deal (I have all the $9.99 Blu-rays).
Has anyone seen the leaked flyers for BB or Futureshop I know RFD isn't supposed to post them early or something. Looking for a new gaming tv so I know this isn't exactly gaming related but still thought I'd ask.
The Best Buy and Futureshop flyers are now online. Best Buy has a 50" Samsung Plasma for $899 (only 720p though), or a 37" Samsung LCD (1080p) for $699.

I don't have any money left after the TRU deal, otherwise I would definitely go for one of the Xbox 360 deals. I've been wanting one for a while.

I have a question but its not so much gaming related... Today I got the BB flyer, for boxing day, and saw an acer 19" monitor for 120... i was wondering if i was able to pm at future shop on boxing day?

NO WAY!

No PMs and returns at both BB AND FS on 26/27!

I was going to pick up Dokapon Kingdom for my PS2 at $39.99, but I guess I'll just have to get it at $24.99. Sigh...

Now I just have to find something that I want and will bump me up to $40.
Are you serious? :(
Why is that hard to believe? Those two days will be insanely busy without people returning stuff and trying to PM. Why would you bother price matching. Just go to Best Buy and get the friggin' monitor. Or order it tomorrow night on their website. Geez.
Are you serious? :(
Yeah dude, what'll you get from it, an extra $10 off? Really dude, it's like going out of your way to pricematch a game for a measly $1 off someone else's price, on top of that the money on gas (providing you live farther from a FS as you do to a BB), the time you spend in a store asking someone who's way too busy with other stuff call up Best Buy (who won't answer, 'cause it's fucking boxing week) and all the while you'll be standing in a long line anyway like you would any other store and boom; $10, was it worth the hassle?
Are you serious? :(
I actually laughed really hard at this.

I'm working from 6-11 on Boxing Day at Best Buy Hamilton.
I'll be hitting up Rogers Video (maybe tonight, I'll call and see if they still have 2/40) considering I have to go to the bank anyway, which is essentially next door.

I *may* go to WalMart, but I only want Sweeney Todd for 9.99 on Blu Ray, but I don't think thats worth bothering on the 26th for.
Maybe a stop at Futureshop for the 9.99 DVDs.

What am I saying? I can do everything except Rogers online.

Well considering there is a FS within walking distance of my house it would be a good $10 that i can spend on the gas money if something else comes up, besides Im just trying to be a Cheap ass gamer... GOSH!

I didn't know you are at the BestBuy in Hamilton. When you get home from work do you mind posting if there are any good deals left and if the store is still packed? I don't like going out on Boxing Week but I would really like to get my hands on that $240 Xbox unless my sister grabs one at Walmart for me.

Where is there a Rogers Plus in Hamilton?

Does anyone know what the 4 free games with a 360 are at Futureshop? I'm guessing Plat. Hits games...

Overall, there's nothing really that great this year. I really hope we aren't busy. I'm working open til noon. But we don't open til 9. I'm sure we'll have a bunch of nutos outside waiting for 2 hours though.

I'm pretty SOL this year :D. I wanted Fallout 3 and World At War for PS3 as well as a Zune.

Staples - Boxing Week flyer online (using an AB postal code anyway) says there's going to be "Value Video Games" available for 9.99ea; 'selection varies by store'.

Just thought I'd pass it along.
Lone, You are sooo amazing!

Is there any chance you can also do this for other flyers...I'm tired of typing already!
I think I covered everything not in the first post. I jack everything from RFD anyway. ;)

Yeah, I work there. If I don't fall asleep the second I get home I will certainly post whats going on (it'll probably be around 12 pm.).
I'm working the next day from 6pm-11pm, so feel free to come visit. Just walk around occaisionally saying "cag" and I'll be like "JEST??".
:)

And I was referring to the Rogers Plus in Ancaster on Wilson Street, but the one in Hamilton is on Upper James, and another on Mohawk and Upper Paradise.

I got an ad when I checked out yesterday. not the fully flyer, but just a slip:

PS3 deal already mentioned
$10 off "selected" games
Free Edge card subscription to first 100 customers who buy stuff.
