Anyone know where the list of $10 walmart games comes from? They aren't in my flyer. CSI is shown with petz etc as examples of the half price bargain bin (local store cleaned out of anything worth buying in the bin). I don't see anything about orange box, pro street etc at walmart for $10. Whole page of specific games at minor discounts. Wii game party only one at 9.83.

Are the 10$ deals from Wal-Mart consoles only? I'd definitely pick up The Orange Box for PC if it's 10$...

www.walmart.ca, that's the list of games that are regular $18.83
why don't you go check their website? Its all there!
got BB and HMV, but can't seem to find Wal Mart

I don't see a "results from Boxing Day" thread so I guess I'll add to this one...

I got screwed for BestBuy. Went to the Woodbridge one at 6:25am and there was a line around the corner. The parking lot was FULL of cars. I went back later and of course, they were sold out of MKvsDCU. I might but it online...

But I did score Tekken for PSP for less than $10 at WalMart. :) No BluRays for $10 though, they didn't have it organized and they had no idea what movies qulaified (other than in the flyer).

I might go out again but "meh" overall!

Hit up Amazon at 2 am, grabbed GOW2 LE. Then lined up outside BestBuy for 4 am, #102 in line. Grabbed a monitor, the $100 Blu-Ray player, a router and two copies of Halo 3 (I have two 360s) from there. Then hit up some other odd stores, included Staples where I got Avatar for 360 for $10. Finished off with Rogers where I got 6 DVDs, 3 Blu-Ray (my first three! Wall-E, Hulk and Kung Fu Panda.), BF Bad Company, UT3 and Beowolf for ~$120.

I'm completely broke, but it was a damn good day. Now to sleep, since I didn't bother going to bed last night.

As far as I saw at my BestBuy, it was only those pictured in the flyer.

Scored:
Sony Digital Camera
8 GB Memory Stick
Tiger Woods/FIFA Street Pack (might go back)
Mass Effect
DBZ Burst Limit
GRAW 2
Mario Party 8 & Super Mario Galaxy (got the last 2 of both of these at HMV in Kingston :))
A few DVDs.

Got a new copy of SSBB @ EBgames. The guy didn't even know it was 30$, and it was still labeled wrong on the shelf.
Also picked up some 5$ gc games and a ps1 game.

Heads up: Not a canada-only deal but Everything (EVERYTHING) on steam is between 10-75% off.. a lot of stuff is around the 30-50 range so it's not like "one thing is 75 and everything else is 10".. there are some wonderful deals on there, too many to list.

Picked up a used copy Dark Sector for the xbox 360 at EB. One was labeled $14.99, another for 12.99, and the one I grabbed was labeled at $8.99. According to the receipt, I think I got a disc protection for 1 cent. Also according to the receipt, I saved $1.00 by buying pre-played, so maybe Dark Sector new is $9.99?

i got up early and was the 4th person in line at hmv before it opened. went in and went straight to the ps3 shelf to get little big planet. there were none on the shelf so the clerk opened the drawer under it. her and a woman who asked for lbp (first person in line) were kneeling looking for it and i stood behind them also looking. some other guy, who got in like like 10-15 min after me was behind me, nudged me out of the way and grabbed the only two copies of lbp. the clerk said one was for the woman because she asked, so the guy gives it to her and then looks at me and says 'this is the only other one i guess'. i was unimpressed. i still got the game (eb had it $10 off and i've had over $100 in credit for a while from a bunch of trades and gaming gaurantee stuff) so all was not lost. i'm just glad to see the christmas spirit is so alive and well in everyone. sigh.

Today was fun. I worked from 8 til 12. Got No More Heroes, Blastworks, and Pinball Williams Collection for Wii for $10 at work as well as Sega Superstar Tennis for 360. Went to Walmart and got the last 360 Pro for $245 after tax thanks to my sisters discount as well as some Blurays. Went over to HMV and got their last copy of Gears of War 2.

It was my first time actually buying anything on boxing day. Weird experience. Everyone at Staples was really kind and considerate. All the maniacs were at Futureshop I guess

I bought Gears 1...waited forever at Best Buy to cashout, though. I went to Staples to get the XBL Messenger kit (not on sale, but I wanted it). They were so nice!

I spent about $90 at amazon.ca buying 6 games.
$340 in Best Buy for a HDPVR.
$140 at various Wal Marts for a PS2 and 6 $10 games.

I picked up a PS3+GH combo. Months of trading, gift card collecting and presents finally paid off! Also picked up an arcade stick for the original XBox that was in the bottom of an accessory bin. Was hoping to find a 4-port AV switch, but no luck.

Got the last Rabbids TV in EB, and the last Rabbids 2 at HMV. Couldn't score Rabbids 1 at Best Buy because the place was akin to a blocked colon. I'll pick it up somewhere before my brother's birthday in April. Found a copy of Orange Box for $15 at Rogers, but couldn't find anything good for 2/$40 or BluRay (then again, my area is rife with RFD people, so I'm not surprised).

Didn't get to Microplay. =(

Found a very nice shirt at Mark's Worth Wearhouse, at a great price after the $10 sociopath card discount.

Just noticed the Wal-Mart list and might have to go try them tomorrow. Thought Asterix At The Olympic Games was only released in Europe and never realized it was released in Canada. Is it exclusive to Wal-Mart or something because I have never seen it at EB, Futureshop/Best Buy etc.

Holy shit. I thought $15 for Bioshock was a ridiculous deal a few months ago. $5 is almost humiliating. They've locked it outside without clothes on until the new year.

(Slap that ass while the slapping's good)

I'm pretty happy with my boxing day haul. Managed to get a 1TB External Hd, the 80gb Zune from amazon, Crisis Core from EB and a super cheap 8gb SDHC card for my camera. Pretty much everything I was hoping would go on sale. I might actually get some games from steam since they've got a bunch of really good games on sale.

Picked up a PSP Star Wars bundle fpr $149 as an upgrade from my PSP Phat. I had trouble finding one since everyone was pretty much sold out to begin with.

Finally found one at the Queen/Spadina location.

The guy wasn't familiar with the deal even though they had a big poster on the door; he kept insisting they just have the used Daxter bundle for $119. I referred him to their ad and that was that.

Now I can play my PS1 games on the TV instead of squinting at the PSP's small screen!

Added to my earlier haul with GHWT for $55 at EBG.

Some kid had an M-Rated game in hand and stands in the long-ass line, and gets to the cash just to get denied by the clerk. When the clerk told him no ID=no game, the kid had this stunned look, like the guy was talking to him in Swahili.
As he's leaving the store one of his friends says "I told you you wouldn't get it".

pwned.

Managed to grab the following:

Wal-Mart
Armored Core: For Answer PS3 ($9.49 bargain bin game)

HMV
Little Big Planet ($29.99)
Prince of Persia Ps3 ($29.99)

Futureshop
Dragonquest IV Chapters of the Chosen DS ($9.50)
- I managed to print out the ad futureshop posted on their website before they took it off. The manager was happy to give me the game at the price. I grabbed 3 (my friends also wanted it). The manager decided to grab the last one, for himself, lol.

Rogers Video
It seemed someone cleared out my Rogers video, both the blue-rays and games were totally non-existent. However, Oddly enough, I found a copy of Zelda: The Minish Cap for $19.99 brand new.

All in all, a pretty good boxing day. The big ticket items (tvs, laptops, etc.) however were somewhat of a let-down.

Columbia's switch broke. I'm now standing in a HUMONGOUS line at Joyce and no sign of the bus.

Also, HMV was sold out of LBP. Both locations in Metrotown -_- checked at about 10:30am

Any ideas on some cheap games I can get for 360? I have the 2 in my gamercard and the pack ins right now and plenty of PS2/PS3 to play, but if theres anything I should pick up cause it won't be cheap any time soon let me know.

I also haven't heard from Azumangaman. Must have had a rough day at Best Buy. Where do you work Firestorm?

Sears. my legs are killing me. Only had enough time for a 15min break :(

Crappy boxing day. Nothing at Rogers. No HMV LBP. Hopefully my Futureshop order pulls through.

my boxing day was cool. I got firefly bluray for 29.99 at futureshop, How i met your mother 14.99 FS , one of the 16 GB SD cards for 19.99 and 2 pairs of nikes for 29.99 each.

Also got a 20$ halo 3 for a late christmas gift.
At Wal-Mart was able to get No More Heroes, Night, Boom Blox and RE4 (for Wii) for under $10 each.
Boom Blox for 10?? :O What city, man? Any more left? I really want that game.

Here's my haul...wasn't aiming for too much this year.

Link's Crossbow Training w/ Zapper - Wii - $10 (EBGames)
No More Heroes - Wii - $10 (Wal-Mart)
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 - Wii - $10 (Wal-Mart)
Tony Hawk's Project 8 - Xbox 360 - $10 (Superstore)
Lost Planet - Xbox 360 - $10 (Superstore)
Bully: Scholarship Edition - Xbox 360 - $10 (Superstore)

Modest deals, but I'm happy with them for 10 dollars.

I don't need the copy of No More Heroes. If anyone in Ottawa wants it, let me know.

For non-gaming...I picked up a lot of DVD's that I wasn't planning on getting today...

Borat - $4
Superman Returns - $4
Scarface (Platinum Edition) - $5
V for Vendetta - $5
The 40-Year Old Virgin - $5
E.T. (Ultimate Gift Set) - $6
Live Free or Die Hard - $7
Die Hard Trilogy - $10
The Happening - $10
Reservoir Dogs (15th Anniversary Ed.) - $10
Rescue Me (Season 1) - $12
Rescue Me (Season 2) - $12
Band of Brothers - $35

And at HMV I saw this book called "Video Game Art" as I was browsing, and decided to check it out. I haven't opened it yet. It was 12 or 13 dollars.

All I was missing that I really wanted was Fight Night Round 3 on the 360 for 10 dollars at Wal-Mart. I wasn't really sure how to ask about it because it wasn't in the flyer, and didn't want to bother the busy employees about it either.

Happy overall, though :]

Your haul looks similar to mine. I HAD to get the E.T. gift set when I saw it was marked down to $6 from $100. lol.

Btw, did you score the Band of Brothers collection from HMV? I knew I should have checked to see how much it was but it was a mad house when I went there.

For games today I picked up:

Stranglehold: $8
Dark Sector: $8
Hotel Dusk & Clubhouse Games: 2 for $20 at Rogers

Mostly picked up DVDs. I think between me and my GF we scored about 35 movies. Raided FS for all of the Simpsons seasons which were selling for $15. Oh, and Urban Outfitters had some amazing deals if you were looking for clothes. You can't really beat 5 $100 pairs of jeans for $30.

I think Boxing day was a success for me even if I didn't get a ton of good gaming deals.

I worked a solid day at Sport Chek today, there were some great ski packages, if that's something you were looking for. Took the trip from Toronto to Waterloo, so I couldn't get any deals in the morning, and everything was closed when I was done work :(. I'm gonna hit up HMV/FS/BB/WM/EBG and the like, just for for giggles. Maybe I'll get lucky!

edit: hey afro, where did you snag Dark Sector??

Hahah, yeah, me and my friend joked about how everyone was going to pick ET up when they'd see the slashed price of 100 dollars. They went pretty fast after I picked mine up. From eight down to none in about 5 minutes.

Band of Brothers was actually at Zellers. I wasn't even sure whether it was regular price or a boxing day special, but I had to get it for that price.

According to HMV's website, it's going for 50 dollars there, fyi.

And yeah, it really was a jungle at HMV, at least the one I saw inside a mall. I didn't bother getting anything there because of the lineup. Another one, in a plaza, was great to shop at, though. Not that many people and plenty stock.

Today was stupid.
Then I got off work.
It was much much better. I got a ridiculous amount of stuff. Lets break it down by store!

Best Buy

AKON-Freedom $8
Usher- Here I Stand $3 (most insane staff discount I've pretty much ever seen)
4GIG SD Memory Card $6 (also insane discount...$7.99 on sale)
8GIG Pro Duo $21.50 (even better than $29!)
Scarface $5
Elizabeth: The Golden Age $5
Batman Begins (BLURAY) $16
Futurama: Benders Game (BLURAY) $20
Fracture (360) $20

The Beat Goes On
This was my favourite sale. They had 40% off ALL their used stuff for today only. There a bunch all over Canada. Everything I got was 100% IDENTICAL to new copies
24: Season 6 $14
Dead Rising (NON PLATINUM HITS!) $18
Stargate (BLURAY) $6
2 older Fallout Boy CDs $5 each

Rogers Video
Endwar
Pure
Bourne Conspiracy
NCAA Football 09 (doesn't work, returning tomorrow and going insane :) )
All Pro Football 2k8 (free title)
God Of War 2 $10
Syphon Filter Dark Mirror $10
Forbidden Kingdom (BLURAY) $14
Hellboy 2 (BLURAY) $14
Tropic Thunder (BLURAY) $14

Seriously. All that. I'm still stunned. And my dad got us Guitar Hero 3 for Channukah (coming soon hopefully). I'm also not including those games from Futureshop on the site.
OH DAMN.
Best thing is that my birthday is in 4 days (31st) so I get all my money back and *hopefully* then some.

Well here's my Boxing Day story:
I left home at about 9:45. Got to Rogers 10 mins before opening and saw nobody so went into London Drugs beside it. The Onkyo receiver I was thinking of before wasn't on sale so I went back to Rogers. Opened. NO worthwhile games. No BluRays I wanted. Left for Metrotown. Got there and weaved my way to HMV around 10:30. Picked up Prince of Persia, but they were sold out of LittleBigPlanet. Went to the other HMV in the mall (yes, there's two), and they were sold out as well. Went into work. Busy as hell. Only got 15 mins break to eat and didn't bother the rest of the time. Manager had a room in the back with chips and pop for us at least to take quick breaks. Closed at 7, go to Future Shop to see if I could find FFIV (out of stock) and then looked for those 8gb usb sticks for my dad (also oos). Picked up a 4GB, paid, and left.

I was at the skytrain at around 7:50. I got to the station I needed to get off at around 8:10. There was supposed to be a bus at 8:10, 8:20, 8:40, and 8:50. The bus came at 8:50. I am cold, tired, and didn't get the stuff I wanted ;_; Future Shop price error better pull through.
edit: hey afro, where did you snag Dark Sector??
I picked it up at EB. I was surprised it was in the bargain bin so I decided to grab it. There were a few other games in there that you don't usually see in the EB bins. Blue Dragon (which usually sells for pretty low anyways), Conan, and a couple copies of the last Need for Speed game (not the latest one).

I was thinking about grabbing a copy of Guitar Hero III for $10 but then decided against it.

Edit: Oh and if you were looking for Prince of Persia, the HMV at West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton had about 200 copies of it. I was pretty surprised they had so much stock of a game they were probably not making a cent on.
I forgot to bring a flyer home. hahaha stupid me.
What I remember is.
Halo 3 - 29.99
Singstar ps2 system bundle 99.99
Starwars psp system bundle 149.99
GH4 w/ guitar 89.99 (all systems)
FrontMan guitars 19.99 with free strap.
Buzz games for ps2 9.99

wii fits and rockband 2 bundles for wii should be in stock at most stores.
what flyer is this for?

The EBgames in a mall close to me had a huge line just to get in. I don't know what the big deal was though, their deals didn't seem too great.

Ah that's too bad Firestorm. I learned last year after going to Richmond on BD that the best time to buy stuff is a couple days after when the crowds are less. Yeah you don't get the doorcrashers but there are bargains to be had.

I went to this massive mall in the States (imagine Metrotown, all on one floor) and while it wasn't super-crowded, there were pretty good sales everywhere. But man, NMH and Boom Blox for $10? Ridiculous.

My parents did get the GHIII Wii bundle online from BB: I guess that counts as a Christmas present right?

My gaming haul so far:

Wii zapper $10.49 after tax (EBgames)
Nights: $9.xx after tax (walmart bargain bin)
Brain Age 1: $9.xx after tax (walmart bargain bin)

The walmart I went to had two huge bargain bins set up. Didn't see any copies of No More Heroes in it. I did notice a copy of Shadow of the Colossus in there. Almost bought it, but I haven't touched my PS2 in awhile (don't have a PS3).

Also noticed they had the Simpsons game for PS2 in the bin as well. Has anyone come across the Wii version in any of the bins?

Got screwed by the HMV deals (see my post I hate HMV for the full details).

The only thing I got was the Compact Flash 4gb from FS which I ordered online on the 24th. Got Persona 3 FES bundle from Amazon.ca along with a photography book (Understanding exposure). And from BB got the Mic stand for Rock Band and some Wii stuff for a friend (Wii Play + ICon plastic sports stuff).

My haul this year:

Staples
Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard - $15
8GB Sandisk Cruser USB flash drive - $20
MS Office Home and Student - $50

I would have picked up a flash drive from Best Buy or Futureshop but I get the employee discount at Staples and I didn't really need more than 8GBs of data really.

Futureshop
Logitech LX7 wireless optical mouse - $20

Steam
Peggle Deluxe - $7ish after exchange

Amazon
Persona 4 - $36 (Regular price but I'd rather save $14 and get it with them than pay $50 at EB)
Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 Blu Rays - $10 each

Rogers
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway - 2/$40

I've also got some foam earbud tip replacements coming in courtesy of Goomba and GFC, and I'm looking to purchase Company of Heroes and a watch using mall gift cards (I'm aware Company of Heroes is on sale on Steam, but I've got too much in gift cards to really buy anything else online). Overall, not a great Boxing Day for gaming for me, but I already had pretty much all the games I was looking for before Christmas so I'm not complaining.
