Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat (PS3/360) $5 after $20 off Coupon
Orange County here. Irvine store honored the coupon, but not until I was treated to a comedy show of the highest caliber. I usually handle all my transactions through the gaming dept; when the normals get involved, everything goes to shit.
"Oh this is for Xbox"
"It says Xbox/PS3 on the coupon"
"It's expired."
"Says it's good till 7/14, dude."
This guy scrunches up his face like he's taking his SAT. Brow furrowed, and in deep thought, he asks, "Why would we give $20.00 off a $19.99 game?"
"I think that's a question better asked of Mr. Best Buy."
Only my fierce determination to get something for nothing and see what it looks like for a ninja to fight Shaka Zulu allowed me to persevere in the face of this withering interrogation.
lol dats so funny so did u get da game

Damn...went to BB and tried it.

The game guy was on the radio talking about this and saying "don't turn anyone away"

But they were out of both PS3 and 360 copies. He said they had 2 copies for both systems and they got hit hard this morning.

He said "stupid corporate"

Wish there was one there, so I could go through this...sounds entertaining.

The guy said he couldn't order one for me, but checked other stores stock. I would go and pick them up, but the game isn't good enough to add a 1/2 hour to my drive.

Playing the game right now with my cousin. I've at least gotten my 1 cent of fun. You guys should try zombie mode in versus.

Question...

If I order online and do a "in store pick up".

Can I use my coupon when I pick it up OR do I have to pick it up, return and rebuy +coupon?

Bought a PS3 copy but needed an override as well. Preordered Black Ops 2 with the free dog tag also so it wouldn't look as bad.

You need to return and rebuy since you'll have already bought it in order to process the instore pickup.

lol well played brother.

First store flat out denied me (Didnt even try).

Went to second store where the nice girl said it should work, but when we got to the checkout process it wouldnt register at all. Ended up calling the manager, thanks to her being as adamant as i was about the fact double dipping works, managed to get a copy :D.

Manager had to be called over and it turned into a ten minute ordeal. Eventually got the overide, but the way it was done, I had to pay tax on the 20.00. I didn't argue because honestly if they had run a 24.99 sale on it, I would have gotten it for 4.99.

Make sure you go to buy the game today. Tomorrow they are changing the price to 24.99. I saw this in their etk. They are being told to honorthe price today only

OH, I know some people have been saying that they are being told that the game must exceed the price by a penny or something, but the gamer guy tried doing a price mod of the game to 20.00 even and 20.01 and the coupon still didn't do anything (we also tried scanning the game twice, so that it was in there as 19.99 twice to see if that did anything and it didn't). So, it looks like something has happened to the coding of the coupon itself to just make it do nothing.

Worked here in the Chicago Bestbuy. They had to do a manager override and charged me .01 for the game. Picked this up + Bejeweled 3 price matched for 9.99 so 10 bucks 2 games is my kinda deal.

Does it tell them to give it for free today.

510 total possible achievement points. 2 games @ 200 each, plus all of the DLC.

And avatar awards! Get on it CAGs!

Manager override was needed. Also they called the gaming specialist over, who said it was a "mistake" and it the price will be changing to $24.99 tomorrow. He did say that they were told to honor the coupon and price TODAY only.

Eh, not worth the hassle for me, my closest BB is 20 minutes away. Shitty game will still be a shitty game even if it's free.

Just got back with no problem. I would like to thank whomever (Fellow CAG?) went to the Racine, WI store before me. Manager already knew about the coupon and did an override no questions asked. Walked in with 7 games that I traded in for $58.60 and walked out with used copies of Dark Souls, Syndicate, and Portal 2 plus DA2 and Deadliest Warrior for $52.69 and $5.91 left on my GC. I was very happy.

Also, I would like to confirm for Silver members that the receipts are stating the 60 day price match and return period now.

Well I walked in picked up the game (store is like four minutes away) took it to the counter, associate rang it up, and had to get an override from higher up, took three minutes total. fifteen minutes well spent for a FREE game.
Def YMMV.

Manager @ my store won't do it, I tried the gaming dept first, then customer service. Got denied coz of the 0.01 difference.
Which BB store did you try this at in NYC?
Woah its 60 days to PM now? Nice o_O, glad i'm a silver member now
That's almost worth picking up games on launch day to eventually get them PM'ed later.

Well, I decided to stop at my BestBuy. Grabbed a copy of the mag and flipped to the back of the coupons. It does say Limit 1 offer per coupon per household. I even played dumb and asked the guy how many copies of a game I can get on one coupon and he said one, but that I could buy multiple copies of the mag if I wanted to get multiple copies of the game. So I grabbed two copies of the mag and two copies of the game, and went to the register.

At first the guy didn't know why it wasn't ringing up the right price, and I said, "You have to do a manager over-ride since the game is $19.99 and the coupon is $20." So he's like o_O? and called over a buddy, and he called over a manager and all three of them thought it was pretty funny that corporate didn't even bother to look at the offers in the magazine before dropping the price. But they did the over-ride on my two copies no problem, and all is good.

Took about 10 minutes for the cashier and manager to get it to work, but in the end I got it. Apparently none of us were aware of the $.01 negative balance issue. The manager did try the "it won't work on sale prices" bit, but the cashier and I both told him, almost in unison, "it's a price drop, not a sale." Now I have to figure out what to do with it since, lets face it, it looks pretty awful.
So $19.99 is the universal price drop? How does price match work if the game goes on sale for $15.99 next week? lol
Pretty sure "free" is as good as you're going to manage. :applause:

This might be a dying offer. I did get one for free, but the mgr override was entered with a note that said the coupon was being stopped. I hope it keeps working for everyone else.

Pinecrest, FL store accepted this coupon with no issue what so ever! Took me a total of 10 minutes, the manager didn't even question the coupon or try to give me an excuse. I have to say the Pinecrest Store is definitely one of the best Best Buys stores in Miami.

Just picked it up at my Best Buy.

I grabbed it and a drink hoping that the $20+ price would make it smoother, but the coupon wouldn't ring in with a discount. Luckily I had a good manager who pushed the coupon through and I was able to get the game for free.

Picked it up at the Best Buy in Littleton, CO. Manager override, no problem. Free is free, no matter how bad the game. Thanks OP!
I have the coupon but for such a crappy game (from what Ive heard) it doesnt even seem like worth the hassle
Its worth $10 at gamestop

Thanks OP! Picked up the PS3 version. Just a heads up. According to what the manager saw in BB's internal FAQs, they're only honoring the coupons today. BTW... The Wilkes-Barre, PA BB had two PS3 copies left. Didn't check the 360 version.
it took 3 managers arguing for 10 minutes but it finally worked. I held back the biggest shit eating grin the entire time. I did tell them to read the back where it said sale price, and that the game was probably so terrible corporate decided to give these to their loyal magazine toting members, for the sake of shelf space.

One of them goes into my restaurant so she liked me enough to convince the others to accept the deal, so I told her that her next drink was on me. Which is fine since she is a good tipper. I will upload a scan of the receipt in case anyone wants to bring it along for an attempt where they live.
I was going to try and get a copy at this store tomorrow but I don't think it's worth the hassle. Thanks for the heads up lol

Dammit, I was at the WB store this morning. Oh well, I had no intentions of playing this anyway. Would of just bought one so I could of played this piece of crap with my gf and laugh about how bad it is.

Stopped by best buy on the way to class. Was able to get the game for free after a bit of a hassle and manager override. Played the shit out of the first one when it initially released so looking forward to playing it and the next

Coupons work on sale prices too, it's printed on the coupon.

Went to BB with DW coupon in hand. I figured if they wouldn't honor the coupon I wouldn't push it. Did buy a second game with it, so the coupon not taking $20 off threw the guy off. Called over a second cashier and she went though the whole transaction again. all with the same result. I knew why it wasn't working, but kept quiet. Finally called over a floor supervisor who in turn called over a second floor supervisor. They finally figured out why it wasn't working (game priced 19.99 coupon for $20 off). Dude looked over the coupon carefully, then finally told him to just take $20 off manually and he approved it with his code or whatever it is they use. I'm sure the game blows, but hey, it's free.

I believe what you have is just 1 game. The packaged game included 2 games, dlc and 6 episodes of the tv show.
