Seriously, that is the worst part of the game. What does the 4 gig install even do for this game?
 
Hahah this is insane. I already returned a $10 copy to gamestop when this hit $5 at bestbuy. Never would have expected to see a sub-$5 price new, regardless of bad reviews. This is now the last insult to the game. I bet the closing bestbuys will have wall to wall stacks of this game trucked in.
 
And this is one of the reasons why I never buy anything from Best Buy. There is no copies available to ship and the closest store to me does not have it available. This happens to every game I want to get.
 
Thanks OP, got one for ps3. I enjoyed this for the 360 at launch and I'll play it again on the ps3 for some trophies and just to play it again.
 
I picked up a copy for me on the 360 and one for a buddy on the PS3. Used a $5 reward zone credit and about $2 from a gift card I have had forever. I didn't realize they were $2.99 until they rang up. Glad BB didn't let me use that credit when I tried to use it online last night.

You can't really blame them if they don't have enough extreme clearance $2.99 games in stock. You just have extremely cheap tastes if that is every game you try to get from them.
 
I bought this at $5 and got a refund for the difference down to $3 today. Haven't tried it, don't know if it's any good, hear all the reviews, but I want it anyways. Maybe it will bring me back to the nostalgia of my young adulthood when I could play games and not worry about the F!@$^@%^ children.
 
It may be horrible but for $3 and being the answer to a VERY long running joke (the equivalent of GnR's Chinese Democracy in the gaming world) it's worth it to me. Thanks for posting.
 
LOL! I was debating whether or not this was worth it for the PS3 game case alone and then trading it back to Best Buy for $3 that I would use toward Killzone 3 ($9.99 preowned this week) and it just sold out from my local store. Oh well, I'll take that as a sign haha.
 
I brought this for 10$ on black friday cause i had plenty of credit to spare and now bestbuy has it for 3$. Geeeeee

As for hoarders this game hasnt been flippible in months so Its pointless
 
My advise is for the ppl thinking about picking it up... I say it's up to you really cuz don't let ppl judge for you saying it's a bad game or what not... Ppl got different taste in videogames, some may like it and sum may not... You guys can always go on youtube and look at gameplay and judge for youself, then decide if you wanna pick it up or not...

Seriously though, I've never in all my years of gaming seen a new'ish game priced this low before. WOW! It must really be a terrible game; like Superman 64 or E.T. terrible. =(
 
I bought this game yesterday for $5 and the store didn't complete the order until today, so they only charged me $3 for it...yay

My order even said $5 yesterday, but changed today.

But seriously, i'll probably get the game just for the sake of having the game in my collection... its can be used as a good conversation starter in the future.

Yeah i just cant spend anything above a dollar for the game even tho ive flipped it a few times. Im a Duke fan too.

plenty of games have hit this price point, but none of them were decent. Rock Revolution and Truth and lies or whatever both hit this range. I even recall people getting Rock Revo for .98 cents at BestBuy...

As far as quality, it is being blown way out of proportion. It is in no way on par with even the lowest game this gen, but it is pretty decent for a game that had the track record it did. I also found it pretty funny.

If you have a best buy near you I can confirm it is $3 instore for XBOX, and I can assume PS3.

I bought it cheap on steam but would rather play on XBOX. I watched my roomie play some of it and its okay, but I think FPS's(the single player portion) havent evolved since Half Life 2. I love the Duke humor so just to hear that is worth the $3. The game cant possibly be worse than the Resistance games on PS3.
 
well I might get it because I need a new PS3 game case for a game that I got from gamestop that had sticker residue on it

Play'N'Trade (a local TN store) has a deal going on right now where if you spend over 15 dollars you can get any game out of this huge bin for a penny. Copies of DNF aplenty. I decided against DNF and got a black label copy of tekken 3 for ps1 with the gold embossed title.

Geez, this game is really getting douched on. I know it wasnt perfect but for 2.99..its worth a pick up. comparing this to Rock Revolution is quite absurd. That game was unplayable. this one is playable but didnt meet expectations. Its just a run of the mill FPS. Thats it.
 
The game just came out too late. It feels like a PC game from 2000, when it should have came out. If you only play modern shooters and never played Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Doom, etc back in the day, the game won't live up to today's standards. They may have got rid of health packs and the graphics kept getting updated, but the story/levels/pace of the game shows its age. Not to mention no *real* new weapons from the one that came out 15+? years ago.

The game is worth $10 imo, so $5/$3 is a good deal if you were a Duke fan and need to see what the game is all about to judge for yourself. Also, the load times can kiss my ass.

That's to suggest most modern shooters are better than older ones which... honestly, they aren't. Not from a PC perspective. DNF is horrendous compared to Duke 3D, Quake, and Doom. It's just a bad game, period. Lateness doesn't play a factor. Gun limitations are awful, level design is awful, game is only about eight or nine hours long and an hour to two hours of that is just Duke walking around in his casino and strip club. Way too many crappy half-baked HL2-like puzzles. Way too much driving. Regenerating health system is awful/promotes cover shooting... in a Duke Nukem game of all places. Honestly the only good encounter is the final boss where you actually have the space/ability to have a proper strafe shooting FPS fight.

Never mind the fact the humor is bad. I don't mean offensive, I mean just bad. As in not even remotely funny. It's even funnier to sit through the credits and add up the hundreds upon hundreds of people responsible for this abomination while games like Killing Floor take half a dozen or so. I don't think this game was supposed to be "good" or even taken seriously. I think the whole project was done tongue in cheek. It's sort of a nod or a throwback to that era of gaming. Therefor, if you don't take it serious you can appreciate it for what it is, a cheap thrill and a decent pass time. Picked one up for $2.99 no hesitation.
 
I got this for $5 from gamefly, thought it sucked and traded it in but now I'm considering a rebuy.

Thanks OP. Was going to pick one up for $5, glad I waited a day. I didn't see the PC version listed on the website, but they still have it in-store around here...probably should've asked them to scan it while I was out there.

Anyone else want to try that and post what they find? A PC copy for $3 would be even better.
