Guys, if I use the GF Trial, can I buy games during that trial?? These sold out games Keep prices are the same price as the sale prices... So can I do it???
Titles I'm considering would you say rent, buy or pass:

:360:
Wanted
Ghostbusters
Red Faction G
Fight Night Round 4
COD WAW
Godfather II
Call Juarez BIB
Wheelman
Chronicls of Riddick
X-men Origins Wolverine
I wish I was like you and actually thought it through.

My basic buying mentality. I 1. Have mild interest and 2. you make it cheap enough, then I will 3. hand over my money without thinking twice.

So if I was you all of those games would have already been purchase (and most of them were)

For the first time in three years, I got a game (Red Faction) that doesn't work. Anyone have experience returning or getting replacements?

Ordered left4dead a while back ago and it had a crack down the middle of the disc. I emailed them under there contact page and they emailed me a ups label. Unfortunately they will only credit your account and not do a replacement. So if the game is still on sale I would buy it again. Pretty easy overall to return something, the only thing you will have to shell out for is packaging.

I think just about any purchase through myself.

They always tell me to put it back in the original packaging, tape it up, and write "return to sender" on the label. Does seem to work; I've gotten my refund every time, though I always tell them ahead of time via email that they've, yet again, sent me a wrong/defective disc. But I'm not out anything except a little bit of time and a little bit of tape.

I just got RED FACTION and there was no disk inside. Just the case and instructions. I emailed them and they credited my card back for the full amount. So I went back to buy it again and it was sold out. So I bought Fight Night Round 4. I hope I actually get a game this time. LOL!

My Guitar Hero Would Tour 360 took 14+ days to arrive to me.

Call of Juarez 2 took about 7 days and is int decent enough condition

FFCC Echoes of Time took the same amount of time and is scratched the fuck up... ugh...
For anyone who has received L4D, is it the GOY version?
I believe the GOTY edition content is free online anyways. Last I heard anyways

Trying to save hard drive space.

I have ordered it twice and both times it was the standard edition. So you will have to download the updates. You may get lucky though.

I got too enthusiastic when I opened my packaging and I didn't want to send a clobbered together mess back. Not a big deal as shipping envelopes come in two packs at the dollar store near my house.

blah, i am a little disappointed. i got tiger woods 2k10 for 20 and resident evil for 13, i had to return the first tiger woods because it was so badly scratched it wouldnt boot up, i ordered another, its pretty scratched, it played, and then it started freezing sometimes. if you are really getting a super deal,. i can understand biting, but i dont know if it is worth it for getting what will probably be a disc that wont be in good shape, especially if you are buying a popular game that would have been mailed out dozens of times.

maybe this seems obvious but meh, i was all stoked about the cheap prices until tiger woods started crashing.
I would have picked up Bionic if the PS3 version was ever in. I have looked 10x and it is never in stock. Not a biggie since you can get it almost any time for under $20. Just saw it new yesterday for $17 at Hastings, but at $8 I would have grabbed it.
ditto

Anyone have a spare Ghostbusters 360 copy?? Please PM me. Will pay $13 shipped.

Also is this regular for 360 games to not work properly? I know they are regular DVDs but I though GF sends great working condition used games? Im shocked at some of the replies here.

It's really a crap shoot, unfortunately. I have rented and/or bought very popular games from them that were in good shape. Few scratches here or there, but not too bad, considering the amount of people who probably handled the disc. Then, I have rented stuff that is more niche, games you would suspect that not many people have bothered with, and the discs looked like ass.

Sure wish I could of got ahold of a copy of Tiger Woods 10 (360)...
If anyone has an extra copy please let me know via pm...
Also - if the games are out of stock, will they be on sale again before this sale is over, or is it just a lost hope to get this game for twenty dollars now?

My Ghostbusters and Fire Emblem came in today. Gonna try them out in a bit, but both look fine.

And no problems.

Im waiting on my $5 reward to pick up Fight Night Round 4, hope its automated and gives it soon and I don't have to wait until later today since FNR4 is the last game I want that is available

Was that the PS3 version you ordered? I ordered Red Faction for PS3 and got Fight Night 4 case and instructions but a Red Faction disc inside. I let them know and they sent me the Red Faction case and instructions and told me to throw away the Fight Night 4 stuff:D
Is anyone here a GF member? If so, I will paypal you $13 if you get Echoes of Time and send it to me. Please??
you can create an account just for the store. You don't have to sign up for the rental service

I received my copy of Star Ocean and it was great condition. I would say that about 95% of the games I have ordered have been playable. The few times that I have had problems they have refunded my account when I returned the defective game.

I got 3 of my 6 games yesterday (RF: Guerilla, Call of Juarez, FF:CC). All were in fantastic condition, which continues my streak of perfect experiences from Gamefly.

if the game is sold out, you can still buy the actually rental.

I picked up wolverine (so good I'm buying again) on a restock yesterday and ghostbusters and red faction today via restocks. The buy alert thing really works as long as you check your email a few times a day. I've never had a problem with gamefly and am thinking of subscribing if I ever get through some of my backlog...stinking sales like this are just keeping me from subscribing really :D
Bionic Commando is back in stock on ps3 for those that were looking!
I received no buy alert, and the page says it's still out of stock.

Must've been like, 5 copies back in stock if what you said was true.

Little King's Story was back in stock a few hours ago. I thought about it over lunch and went back to purchase a few minutes ago to see it is out of stock again. I went against my rule and I hesitated. of my game

No it was for 360. Just kinda weird though.

Hopefully, a bunch of CAGs will get Call of Juarez, and we can play some games online. The community for it is almost zilch. You can find a game once and awhile, but it's tough.

My CoD:WaW just came in today, was pleased that it arrived so quickly.

The case and manual/packaging is mint. The disk is OKAY, you can tell its been buffed heavily - even on the front side there are a couple small areas where the surface of the paint appears to be rubbed off in a circular motion. Had some minor scratches on the back but it plays with no problems.

Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase due to fast shipping and an unbeatable price. My RE5 should be coming in very soon.

does anyone know if you cancel an order do you lose the Rewards you used? I ordered FNR4 yesterday used $5 off and today got $5 of and 5% off, will they add it to order? or do i have to cancel and reorder?

Weird, since when did returning GF games be shipped now to texas. Last time i did which was awhile ago was to a southern california facility. Also returns require fed ex now, before it was USPS.

How long does their free shipping usually take? I'm located around Southern California and I read somewhere that there's a GameFly facility in L.A.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they don't trust some USPS workers, primarily from California.
