1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter

2 out = $24.99 the first month...$29.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

All Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, and Nes games are $0.99. Games available depend on which store you go to. Games may not be marked as $0.99, but they will ring up that price. Trade in value of all games on these systems is now $0.25.

OTHER INFO

Deals usually end on close of business on Monday and begin on open Tuesday (some special ones do start on Thursday usually around labor day, memorial day, etc.)

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you.

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must be 18 and have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush. If you are not 18, you can trade under a parent or guardian's BB acount, but they must sign a trade agreement.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by "flipping" games) they do have the abillity to ban you from all GameRush locations if they want to. Remember, discussion of "loopholes" and "flipping" should be kept in the thread linked at the beginning of this post. We've all had a year's worth of discussion on the ethics of capitalizing on the loopholes, but the fact remains - you sign a Trading Agreement and are subject to the conditions you agreed upon. If you abuse the system, chances are it'll catch up to you one way or another.

Release dates - Go by the shipping date. 9 times out of 10 it is not what the Blockbuster computer says. The computer date is when traditional stores can expect to receive their rental games.

Game Rush receives games typically on Tuesday and Wednesday of the games release. Only reason EB and Gamestop get them a day before is because they get special shipments or their dm picks the games up and brings back that evening (or they are near distribution centers).

Some games have street dates but this is few and far between (outrun 2, halo 2, star wars episode 3, doom 3 are it in the past 6 months).
Don't work there but when I preordered a game a month or so ago a new kid was being trained and he asked me how much I wanted to put down on the game. I told him all $30 because I thought you had to for the deal. The GR manager was at the next register and told him it does have to paid off in full when the deal is used.
Went in this morning and luckily the same manager from yesterday was there again. I explained to him what had happened and he said the guy who helped me had messed up, but they had "noted" my account so that I'd only have to pay $30 (well, $25 after the $5 I already paid) when I pick up my games. He just mentioned to keep the reciepts, but that they had taken care of it.

Pretty decent customer service :)

Ok people, tell me everything I need to know about gamerush. Going there for the first time today. Like do I need to sign up for membersip, how much that is, etc. etc.

I think I have a BB membership tho.

Ok, to trade there, you have to sign a trade agreement. You have to be 17 (?) to do this. The main account holder has to sign the trade agreement, so bring them, or make your own account if you would like to trade. To buy, however, you don't have to sign the agreement. Check out the current deals in the original post, and good luck.

I plan on just pickign up some PS1 games so do I need a membership card or what? Or do I just walk in, pick what I want and PAy?

Also what if the people don't recognize the PS1 deals? I printed out the deals si I know whats deals what.

Just walk in and pay. As I said, no membership required to buy. If you do have a membership, they can put the sale on your account, and you won't have to carry a receipt. If they don't recognize the deals, don't show them the printout, just tell them (politely) that they should check the map. It's on there, I think they're on map 11? I dunno. Maybe 12.

I do believe you must be 18 in order to sign the trade agreement. (at least at BB, would assume the same at GR)

Yeah, I just signed one yesterday and still have the copy in front of me. It says you must be over 18.
Traded in (all Xbox):
GTA: SA - $30
Worms: Forts Under Siege - $8
Spy vs. Spy - $7

Got a new Hot Shots PSP for $29. Wanted to pre-order Zelda, but I'm sure there will be a way between now and its release where I don't have to spend any out-of-pocket money. I'd also like to wait to hear what the premium will be.
GTA:SA is only getting $30? Didn't it just come out last week?

Picked up Chrono Cross x2 Castlevania Symphony x2 and MGS x2 all GH. I only wanted 1 of each but it was an odd number and I had extra money so I took one more of each.

Uhm, if you wanted one of each, they why not buy 4 since that's an even number too...not 6.
GTA:SA is only getting $30? Didn't it just come out last week?
Yes but they probably only offer $30 at first to prevent flipping...if you pre-ordered it for $30 after trading in two games, you can't make any money from trading it back in. In fact you'd lose a buck or two with sales tax factored in.

Anyone know how much Advent Rising is getting? I heard $25 before, but I saw that EB is offering $30 for it, I just wanted to see if GR changed their price on it yet.

Man, I just noticed that Gamerush is giving a lot less credit for games now. I remember I traded in Half-life for PS2 (which I bought for $10 new at BB once) and the original Kessen and got $10 for them all together. Now, I traded in The Getaway, 007 AUF, and XIII for only $6. That deal is still awesome, but I'm guessing that Gamerush did this to prevent flopping? Kessen and Half-life are way older than those 3 games, and not nearly as good either.

traded in:

nhl 2004 (ps2) - 8
nfl gameday 04 (ps2) - 3
virtua fighter (ps2) - 1.50 (x2)
shadow man (ps2) - 3
mad maestro (ps2) - 1.50

i picked up forza and mercenaries for xbox. i got forza but i didnt realize that i still had it, i thought i traded it in. does anyone know if i can exchange it for a game that i wanted??

My Blockbuster just started doing this a few days!!! We don't have any GameRushes in the midwest (that I know off) and I was surprised to see trade in 3, get a preowned game for $5.

I traded in: VF4 Evolution (GH), F-Zero MV (GBA), ATV Offroad Fury (PS2), DoA2 Hardcore (PS2), Mark of Kri (PS2), and PD Orta (XB) for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Mercinaries (both for Xbox) for free (thanks to store credit). I didn't get the B2G1 free, the deals don't stack and the guy even tried it in front of me (he was pretty cool) and said he did himself the first few days before it stopped working.

Can anyone tell me of some cheap games that I could trade in? I've missed out on every GameRush deal, this is my first! But I have nothing to trade in...:whistle2:(

If you have an EB or GS in your area, there are ton's of possible trades. GS is running B2G1 Free and EB is running B3G1 Free (which i think is lame). Look for Xevious GBA 2.99, XIII PS2 2.99, Madden 2004 PS2 2.99. They have a ton of < 5$ games for possible easy profit trades.

30$ in their June 14th Flyer, and they price match + 10% other stores.

is it confirmed that the 2 deals will be ending throughout the nation, or only in certain areas? Any word if any deals will be replacing these?
I've trade The Getaway, 007 AUF, and XIII to GR before, maybe about 3 to 4 months ago. With the exception of 007 AUF, both XIII and The Getaway have been getting $1.50 from GR for quite a long time now. 007 AUF did get $5 before, but I'm guessing its $3 now, which is fair for a game that old.

Those 3 games may be getting that price because each store has a dozen or so of each game. Alot of us have been buying XIII cheap (or even free) and trading them in buy the truckloads.

The two I noted from yesterday, Counter Strike and Fusion Frenzy, both gave $8 and $7 dollars.

Found another Astro Boy at Best Buy, this still gives $8 dollars.

Got Wipeout Pure (omg lucky score!!!) for $5!

My friend brought in Xevious for 1.50 and NCAA 2004 for ps2 which was 1.50.

Going back tonight with Madden 2004, Stuntman, and Mad Maestro to get Killzone.

Ok, i've been on my honeymoon for a week.....what did I miss????

Is XBOX 360 available to pre-order yet? (the system)

What 360 games are in the system? Can they be pre-ordered with the trade 2 deal?

THANKS!

No, it isn't in the system yet and YMMV on the pre-order with trade 2 for $30 deal.
anyone?
Check the OP, it's kept up-to-date.

The deals are being pulled by corporate, so YMMV only applies to stores that may pull it early or have already pulled them.

And we know of no deals to replace them. If the reason they are ending prematurely is due to abuse, I doubt they'd want to introduce a new deal right away.

GR is still doing call-lists for preorders on the Xbox 360.

As for 360 games in the system, just ask someone at the store. Someone in this thread posted a list but I believe it was a list from EB.

YMMV for the trade 2 deal, but from what I've seen on here and at my GRs, the answer is now no that you cannot use the deal for 360 games as the prices are different.

Just got back from preordering a couple more 360 games (GoW, PD0, & GR3). All 3 were 59.99. They don't have Oblivion, The Darkness, or KUF: Heroes in their system yet though.

They let me change my preorder of San Andreas to Oblivion on Thursday. I need to go and change a few preorders for those you listed and PGR 3.

Madden 2004 - 1.50
Stuntman - 1.50
Mad Maestro - 1.50

Killzone for $5

Trying to milk this sale for all I can before June 20th... Gamestop is a GREAT price to nab trade in games, since with b2g1 free and the 10% off card, I paid 9 bucks for all three of those games, and they still had plenty of untapped 4.99 and lower games.

I know Madden 2004 is 2.50, Fantavision is 3.99, the other two games listed up top are 4.99... most Gamestops seem to have about a billion and one copies of Madden 2004 anyways.

Alright, just got back from work. There are NO new deals in the new map planned to replace the $5 deal and preorder/new game for $30 deal. The 50% off Nintendo sale and buy 2 get 1 free will continue. Here's a list of XBox 360 games currently available for preorder:

Burnout Revenge
Call of Duty 2
Condemned
Dead or Alive 4
Elder Scrolls IV
FIFA 2006
Final Fantasy XI
Frame City Killer
Full Auto
Gears of War
