I saw about 5 copies of Serious Sam II when I went in today. Also there still isn't a Resident Evil 4 Premium Edition in their system, and since that comes out next week I doubt it gets put in. I saw the advertisemts that you get the Ada figurine with RE4 preorder, and if you preorder Stubbs you get some booklet (I think it's a hint book).

Xbox 360 News:

STILL no luck on first party titles. They are still 59.99.

Prey is in the system. Resident Evil 5 is not.

Preordering Xbox 360 accessories is YMMV. I was denied when I tried today.

Good news is that they let me switch over 2 games to 360 games, but I had to pay $10 extra for each one.

If they let you look at the MAP (I don't know which one) it lists all the games with their pre-order bonus. Just ask them at the store and speak up, since most bastard employees will take the items for themselves.
 
Does anyone know if Too Human is in their system? I forgot to ask the GR employee that when I was asking him all of my other questions.
 
I preordered Shadow of the Colossus; anyone know if you get a free item with it?

I plan on preordering Spartan Total Warrior while there, any freebies there? Also, I would like to trade Burnout Revenge, is it still getting $35?

Is this listed strangely? I tried to preorder this two weeks ago, and it wasn't in the system. Unless they weren't typing the double-b. Grr - I'm not sure I'll get back in before it releases.

My employee was mispelling it too, so I handed him the Stubbs preorder case they had near the game rack and told him to make sure he was spelling it correctly.

Weird. My stores always do it as two transactions - first they do the trade and put it on my card, then they close that and do the preorder. Since I use two cards to stay under the 'holy cow, lookit the credit' radar, nothing would stop me from getting the trade credit on one and paying with the other.

hehe, i've received every preorder bonus ever since i started to "speak up" about them. the only one i've had a problem with is the MAT 3 bonus for LA Rush. i only preordered that game for the bonus. the reviews stunk for LA rush! :bomb:

I just preordered stubbs today and I'm going to preorder RE4 soon. Am I supposed to ask for the extra gifts when I do the preorder or when the game comes in?

I normally get the freebie when I pick up the preorder, but I have received freebies at the time of preorder if they have them in stock.

Well, just for convenience when I'm doing the preorder deal I have them post the credit on my account, then ring up the preorder (as a separate transaction of course) using whatever that balance is and then a card for any difference I might have. Sometimes I end up leaving $5-$10 on the account, which is fine with me. However, when I trade in at normal BB's I don't want any money sitting in the account, so I get the credit on the card. They just couldn't handle it last time and now I have this wonky card...
 
anyone know when stubbs is coming out? gamespot says it hits stores today but when I preordered it today the kid said it wasn't coming out till this Saturday. After reading more about this game I can't wait to play it.

I think they are $22....the general rule is $40 PSP games = $22 trade value
$50 games = $25-$28
 
Hopefully they get FE: PoR in tomorrow, since every time I have preordered a game, they get it the day after release. Seeing as FE ships/releases today, they should get it tomorrow. It's weird that a game is coming out on a Monday, though. Isn't the "rule" every game is released on a Tuesday?

So D2R2 is still $27, right?

Does anyone know the price on Guilty Gear Isuka as well, because I remember Gamerush used to have it for $40 used, and it can be had for $15 at TRU.

This morning they received 'The Warriors' promo stuff... demo game discs and green T-Shirts. If you pre-ordered the game it might be worth asking about.

Traded in Wipeout Pure last week for $22, but didn't have Untold Legends. Each PSP game I traded in was $22 except for MGA, which was only $18, but most of those games were launch titles (Lumines, Twisted Metal, Wipeout), so I expect the same type of trend for $40 PSP games. I think they are still feeling out the demand for the games. My GR has gotten in 15 used games (including 7 of mine) in the past few months and has yet to sell a single one. However, titles get rented all the time. It's a little odd....maybe people aren't buying PSP games in general.

Yeah the GR near me has tons of used PSP games. Don't see them selling them anytime soon since they are 34.99-44.99 used. However the CD Warehouse near my house can barely keep them in stock since they sell them for $24.99-27.99 used...

The original post has a good list. The only games I know that are missing from that list are The Godfather and Prey, since I have those 2 preordered.
 
I dont understand the hype of Dead to Rights 2. Sure it gets 27 dollars credit, but the game is 20 bucks at BestBuy not considering tax. Is everyone serious, going through all this trouble to get 5 bucks? I tried using the coupon on the gamers credit card, but it only saves 5 bucks and the game has to be priced 29.99 or higher. Would the coupon work, if you buy two copies of the same game? Also, where is the cheapest place you can get this game, if not BestBuy.

The new GGCs (blue ones) are $5 off $19.99 or higher, making Dead to Rights 2 $15.93 after tax the last time I bought it. $11 if worth it. It is green tagged at TRU, I believe, where it is going to get marked down to $20. So $10 after GT discount. If it's still getting $27 today, that's $15-$16 profit.

I think I've actually exhausted all the preorders I want to do for now, I think the rest of the games can wait for a rental and a price drop. So I might do some trading at my local non-GR Blockbuster to get some used games.
 
Just got a call that Fire Emblem is in today, now that's impressive. Not just the fact that they got it in the day after release, but that they called me the day after release. Might as well go pick it up today. I was gonna wait till Thursday to try to get D2R2 at TRU and trade it in, but since I'm not planning any preorders, as stated above, no need to trade things in 10 miles away right now.

Dead To Rights II (Xbox) is still getting $27 today. Death By Degrees (PS2) gets $16.
 
Anyone know what Xenosaga2 trades in for? Like Dead to Rights 2, it should be $10 at TRU starting Oct. 20 (i.e., drops to $20 AND it's green tagged).

Crazy idea: does the 25% off PO games extend to buying out rentals, since they charge you their used price for it? I'm going to ask if I head over today. If that were the case, with a free rental coupon and the 25% off, you could be saving a boatload (i.e. if Goblin Commander is 9.99, then 25% off would be 7.49... and a rental is what, 7.99? Free game).

- Old news about it trading for $17.50 to wherehouse.com...the reason being....

- I'd be very very cautious when dealing with wherehouse.com they've screwed many people.

Yes, but these got traded in large quantities at most FYE's a long time ago and you are most likely going to get rejected when you try and trade it in now. Most FYE employees don't like how it says "Blockbuster Exclusive" on the box art and will tell you they can't take it. I'm sure some people will still be able to do this depending upon the employee, but a lot of people should expect to get rejected trying to trade this game in at FYE.

I called my gamerush in Troy, Mich a while back for PGR2... $7... that was two months ago...
 
I got my Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance today! Finally this game is out! I've been wanting it since mid-August! Great game so far by the way. Is The Warriors any good? :D
 
Anyone know if Gran Turismo 4 dropped this week? Was getting $24 last week and the EB deal (trade in 3 to get it free) is still going on.
