- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.

Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

I cancelled my X-Men Legends II for PSP today....it still wasn't in, and I really don't care much about the PSP lately. I switched it for Condemned for XBOX360 (had to pay $10.60)

Went in to pick up my copy of SotC but apparently they had sold all the copies, including my preorder. They delivered/returned for 39.99 (should have realized this wasnt a 49.99 game earlier) which I used towards Radiata Stories. Next week Spartan and RE4 comes out, hopefully they dont sell my preorders or give away my mini figure bonus. almost not worth trading/preordering there anymore.
It's published by Atlus. GameRush doesn't carry Atlus titles. Don't pre-order Magna Carta from GameRush.
This is true, they usually have the games in their computers but never get copies, even if you preorder far, far in advance.

The plus side of this is that you can preorder one of these, and if they don't get it, you can put the credit towards something else.

Does anyone know the current trade in value for Xenosaga 2?

Also, is the 25% extra trade in value still active? I didn't have that option when I traded in on Tuesday.

Thanks

I never even heard of the bonus 25%....at least not recetly.

Just wanted to give a thanks to whoever listed the Dead to Rights 2 deal - my toys r us had a bunch so I snagged 3 copies. Here was my small haul for today:

Traded:
X-men 2 - $30.00
Dead to Rights 2 - $27.00
Killer 7 - $12.00
MGS 3 - $9.00

Picked up:
The Warriors (Xbox)
Need for Speed MW Preorder (Xbox)

I have 2 scrub games to go with my remaining 2 DtR 2's - any preorder reccomendations (any system)?

Its $12.50 from my copy I traded in a month ago. It won't be higher than that maybe a tad lower but I doubt it since it still retails for $30.

Traded in:

Powerdrome Racing Xbox-$12 (glad it is still getting this my local CC still has tons for $3)

Scaler PS2- $6

Preordered Matrix for Xbox.

They told me that X-Men Legends 2 has a street date of today, it should be in Monday... I'm sick of waiting, but there is 0 else I want to spend my credit on there. The local Gamerushes also didn't get The Warriors OR the new Dragonball Z game, and I went to two different GR's.

I traded in two more D2R2's for $54, so I guess I'm just waiting for X-Men Legends 2.
Xbox Dead to rights II : $27
PS2 Astro Boy : $7

Pre-ordering X360 titles was a no-go, so I went with Xbox Half-Life 2 instead.
does half life 2 come with the new counterstrike game? I don't know much about it, is there any online multiplayer for it?
All the Tony Hawk's came in today, including the Collector's Edition.
Yup, I got mine today for XBox. I had to wait for them to figure out if they could sell them or not. I would have been pissed to not walk out with one.

for anyone that picked up stubbs, beat it, and is ready to trade it in. GR gives you 27 for it, and gamespot gives you 18.

I preordered half life 2, FFXII, and went on a limb and preordered magna carta.

I would've waited a week. Prices on new releases sometimes go UP after the first release week. I think that happened with Far Cry when I traded it in.

Seems like Stubbs is a little bit of a dissapointment judging by people's comments on here. Glad I preordered FE: PoR (GC) instead! :D
does half life 2 come with the new counterstrike game? I don't know much about it, is there any online multiplayer for it?
AFAIK, Half-Life 2 for the Xbox contains no multiplayer component whatsoever. You get H-L2 and that's it.
Does anybody know if DTRII is still getting $27 as of today?
Well it was as of last night. Prices change on Monday or Tuesday, so as long as you trade today or tomorrow you'll be OK.

trade in prices for:

Radiata Stories - 19
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks - 27

needless to say, i didnt trade in radiata stories. 19 isnt so great for a game still ringing up full price.

Someone indicated earlier that they went to a regular Blockbuster and traded in Dead to Rights 2 for $24, instead of $27, I think. Has anyone else had that problem? I would think the prices would be the same at all stores. Hope so, since my nearest Blockbuster is a walk away, while the GR is a 20 minute drive, I don't wanna go there twice to trade in my three copies.

Meh... stupid non-GR stores. Won't quote me a price over the phone.

yep.. that's happened to me.
but if you say GR is really 20 min going back/forth would be 40 min.. i'd suggest to do it at BB to get $24.. rather than wasting gas/time..
Why is everyone talking abour Dead to Rights 2? Is this on sale somewhere? What did I miss?
you can buy it from TRU for 10 bucks and sell it to gamerush for 27. Starting tomorrow is the buy 2 get one free deal at TRU so it makes the deal even sweeter.

I hate regular Blockbusters:

Blockbuster 1 (in person): "This will get you $6.99 credit on your account?" "$6.99?" "Yeah." Since when does anything you trade in ever get x.99? This was after some serious drama in the store that I just missed, apparently involving a lot of yelling between patrons and employees.

Blockbuster 2 (phone): "Dead to Rights 2? $16.00"

Blockbuster 3 (phone): "You have to come in"

Trusty Gamerush (phone): "You're looking at $27"

So I guess it's the 20 minute trip. Once tomorrow since we're going to church down there, and then I'll gamble with the third copy next week when Mario Mix comes in. Or I'll stop at one or two Blockbusters on the way back and see if they'll give me $27.

Has anyone had a problem trading in 2 of the same game at once? I wanna unload these 2 DTR2 copies I have before the price drops.
Has anyone had a problem trading in 2 of the same game at once? I wanna unload these 2 DTR2 copies I have before the price drops.
2 per title per day is the lmit in the terms and conditions.
It doesn't work on games that are more than $49.99. Your chances of getting this to work are just as YMMV as trying to get it to work with X360 games.
Yeah it's not supposed to work with any games over $49.99. I suppose it depends on who the GR employee is because everytime I ordered a game with an optional Collectors Edition, they asked me which version I wanted. Maybe when the search title pops up in their system, it doesn't show the price and the employee assumes that they are both $49.99?

Speaking of YMMV based on employees, some tell me that you can no longer trade in GBA games and some tell me that the title has to sell for over $9.99 for the promotion to work.

You can do it, just be prepared to have a good excuse when they ask you "Why do you have two of the same game??"

I usually use "One is mine, I got the other as a present and it was used so rather than try and return it, I thought I'd just trade it in".

Heh, I've never had them ask (though I've only traded in multiples once), but my prepared excuse is "My friend asked me to trade in his copy since I was going"

The guy started grilling me the last time I did two D2R2... I don't think I'll push my luck a third time.

Oddly enough, when I traded it in the first time for two different systems, the guy didn't ask at all.

Yeah, that's why I was hoping one of the regular Blockbusters wouldn't be moronic and give me a $27 quote. As it is, I'll just trade in my 2nd and 3rd copies of D2R2 at my GR (traded in one a few weeks ago), and find somewhere else to dump the third one off at. There are a bunch of Blockbusters on the way back from GR, should be able to find one that knows what they're doing.

I'm gonna try again at my local store just because there's no way in hell $6.99 can be a trade in value. And they gave me Mario Baseball when I rented Battalion Wars, so I have to stop by again anyway. Idiots. Though I have a feeling she may have just lied to me to get me out of the store after the drama that had occurred. It was rather busy, so when I told her I didn't have a trading account there, she probably didn't want to deal with getting me set up with that at the time.

when they ask me that I just tell them it doesn't matter. Why I have two copies is of none of their concern, their trade in rules state you can trade 2 of the same game in a day.

oh and for the guy talking about the game has to sell for 9.99 to qualify for the deal, it's actually 6.99. So as long as they can sell the game for 6.99 you can trade it in for the deal.

anyone know any other good games coming out? Heres what I have preordered:

Half Life 2, FFXII, RE4, Magna Carta, and Battlefeild 2. I'm going to preorder one more, maybe 2 more. Any ideas?

As started earlier $24 for D2R2 at Blockbuster and $27 at GR. I had the same experience today. Since I have multiple copies I don't mind the $3 difference. I just trade it in for gift card credit at BB. I have 2 GR in the area, but the blockbuster is across the street and the drive isn't worth it.

As for multiples at GR. I usually only trade in 2 copies of a single game if I have a decent stack of titles. The one GR near me is so clueless they don't even notice. If you preorder a game there they don't know how to do it so they lower the price of the game to $29.99 for the transaction and stick the $20.00 difference as a credit on your account. Basically when you pick it up they charge you the full price of the game and use the credit of the account for the offset amount. Did 6 preorders at the store and 4 of them were done that way by employees...

You are right about the trade in rules but try not to forget that it also says the blockbuster/ gamerush employees have the right to refuse any trade for any reason.

Son of a Bitch! Thats awesome!

Hows everyone finding DTR2? Are copies low or are you finding enough? I just want two (well 3 if that buy 2 get 1 free is going). I just want to order Spartan.

If ANYONE here is from SAN ANTONIO, PLEASE SAVE a few for your fellow cheap asses

thats true, but my blockbuster is always really cool about it. Sometimes I just flat out tell them I bought the game cheap, they never really care.

When you preorder GUN do you get the trading cards when you put the preorder down or when you receive the game? Because I know gamespot had the cards to give away months ago.

well i guess thats cool too but to answer your question it should be availiable upon pickup of game or shortly after depending on when the preorder bonus shipment comes

Got the $27 for two copies of D2R2 at Gamerush today, so that was good. Just threw it on a value card, since I didn't have anything I wanted to preorder. Those value cards can be used at any Blockbuster, right? Few used games I'm planning on picking up around here with the 25% off. And I'll be trying to get the $24 for my third copy at Blockbuster this afternoon. Better that than hoping they don't drop the price on Monday/Tuesday before I go to Gamerush again.

anyone know if Wild Arms Code: F is in their system? I think i'm going to preorder that and spartan: total warrior. I don't really know what else to do.

Also some said earlier that the trade 2 in preorder one for 29.99 ends the 31st of this month, can anyone else confirm that?

EDIT: has anyone heard anything about this code age commanders game? It looks kind of interesting

After an initial investment of $20+tax (after adjustment for the B2G1F today), I have $78 on my value card. Traded in the 3rd copy of D2R2 for $24 at Blockbuster, more convenient that way, and they also won't have record of me trading in 4 copies of the same game at one store. Only three :p Unfortunately the Goblin Commander I was planning on getting was sold, so no purchases yet.

Kind of scary that I could get a $39.99 used game for under $10 cash (29.99 after 25% off, less than half of my credit).
