Yeah...still no list, BUT

CAGs have been mentioning lists received by stores and new price markings taking place. Its all a matter of us drilling employees for info or attaining the list.

Just noticed the Game days sale ad in the latest game informer. Last year's sale was pretty decent so its worth a thread. I'll try to post the ad and coupon later. Best part is the coupon doesn't say anything about being void if copied. No specifics yet on the sale.

"Hundreds of games and accessories up to 50% off"

Things to note:
- Should stack with edge (assuming there are used deals).
- Offer ends 6/30/08

You won't see any GC or Xbox games on this sale, GameStop has converted all their new games for those systems over to used, so unless there are used games on this sale I wouldn't get your hopes up...
 
I am really just hoping for a B2G1 Free Used again.... They had to have one while GTA IV was still NEW and all my time was invested in that game >.

It makes no sense to me, the GC is still HUGE down here in Calexico. I see bare systems sell for over $60!
 
Calexico is near the border, and down there the older systems are high and mighty. That's why most Gamestops sent their ps1/n64/old games (if not destroyed) down to the San Diego stores and even to one in TJ as I was told.

Are there usually any deals for used? Cause I was looking forward to stack some more with my EDGE.
 
we ( gamestop stores) received the prices today but it also came with a note saying we whould be fired for sharing or posting the prices, so you'll probably see them tonight from someone braver then me.
 
why are they hiding what is going to be on sale so much? I guess people might not buy the items now that are going to be on sale, but hype could also grow about the sale if they let people know whats happening.

Do you think they would post the sales in this weeks ad which usually comes out on Friday, only 3 days before the sale.
 
Brave Story (Supposedly hard to find) will be on sale. We got mucho copies of it. As well as all the sonic games from last year, and some Namco Anthologies (Previously Mentioned)

I think we got the list in, but someone is bound to put it up before me.

I would insanely jump on Condemned 2 at a discounted price. Although I would have to go about finishing the first one, (got it at the Game Days Sale last year). I'm such a scardy cat though... >.>
 
I saw a TON of GameStop accessories in the GameStop across the street from me. One of them being a universal dance pad (works for GameCube, PS2, Xbox, Wii) for $20. Very much doubtful they were regular items, considering they weren't there last week.

Last year, there weren't.

This year? Some posters saying yes, but I don't think we've gotten confirmation yet. If there's any promotion on used, odds are it'll be on last-gen titles.

If there's anything, it'll probably be almost exactly like the scan in the first post. I don't think there was ever an ad last year that listed specific titles and their sales prices.

That's because, as of now, employees don't even have a list. Everyone is just going off of what items have been arriving in unusually high numbers so far.

well they added buy 2 get one towards the end, no bioshock not that cheap, not part of the sale, 360 actually pritty lame titles nothing you cant get on ebay cheaper then whats listed. UMD's are 4.99 like last year.

You'd be surprised what a little online detective work can turn up. If you use the same screen name on CAG as you do on Myspace or Flickr, say, or if you've got your AIM address posted here and on your Facebook account, it's incredibly easy to connect the dots.

When Circuit City got mad about their ads leaking early, they were able to hunt down Speedy. If GameStop decides to go after a potential leak, chances are good they'd be able to identify the person who posted the list.

Kinda disappointed on the 360 end of deals, :/. I want Viking, but I have a gut feeling that it'll be bargain bin material in a few months.

Not everyone knows how crappy the game is.

If these lists are accurate, then this year's sale is going to be a huge letdown compared to last year's.

wow.. kinda sad that the only good shit seems to be on the PSP list.

if you don't get Monster Hunter 2 at that price, you need to cut your legs off... the only game on PSP i can say I've spent over 100 hours on.

Oh how I love me some Monster Hunter 2. Defeating a White Fatalis with 3 other people is one of the greatest experiences I've had with my PSP.
 
I was kinda hoping for a AAA first party Wii game like Metroid 3 or something but I guess I'll get the Bigs. I have to go check some reviews first

These prices being posted I'm assuming are after discount if so Virtua Fighter 5 isn't really a deal as I know it's $20 elsewhere if not everywhere else hell I saw it at Wal Mart the other day for $20.

I think a mistake was made as that should be House of The Dead 2 & 3 (not 1 & 2) :) Any reason to buy House of The Dead 2 & 3 if I already have it for the Dreamcast & Xbox? I wouldn't mind getting it again for the Wii just for the hell of it but at $10 not $20.

$9.99 used at Game Crazy. I'd bet there's a pretty good chance you'd find it as well, assuming you have one near you.
