Hey all!

First off, super big apologies if this has been posted. The valid dates are 9/12 - 12/31, which makes me think these have been in circulation for a while. I follow the trade-in thread quite a bit, and don't recall hearing about these. Maybe I have selective memory? Did a search but didn't see anything...

Anyway, I signed up for Best Buy's GamerZone Unlocked about a month and a half ago. I still haven't received my first issue of the magazine in the mail, but today I got these coupons:

Pretty good offers; better than normal throw-away trash, that's for sure. So, yeah, keep an eye out!

They just had one that was $5/$10/$25/$50 so with that one every $60 game came with a $5 gc but only applied to BF3 before it expired. There great b/c you can earn a giftcard from purchase made with a giftcard/RZ.
 
the buy 2 get 1 free says up at 39.99...does that mean I cant use this on Modern Warefare 3, Skyrim and some other 60 dollar badass title?

Thanks for this. Ugh, the girl who did it was really stupid at the time, and kept insisting that I had to buy something to use the coupon, too. A manager stepped in, but even he must've not known about having to scan the sheet as well. And this is going to be an even bigger pain now that the coupon is expired... Ugh, stupid fuckers, now it's costing me these coupons on top of everything else.

i was never asking about that coupon. Just stating i received it and not the Buy 2 Get 1. I myself will not be spending $250 in one order any time soon, so i really only have use of it if I spend over $100. And you get 2 coupons. One for November and one for December, so making copies isnt really necessary.
 
Start a paid gamer's club in September. Send out coupons and welcome packet to early adopters, in November. Coupons have valid date starting in September.

Wonder why people seem to complain about your company a lot.

Hope I get this soon. Have to decide if I want to use this with Halo Anniversary or hold out for something closer to the holidays.
 
So is gamer club unclocked different from the normal gamer club? I paid the $15 for the gamer club membership and magazin subscription. Is there a premier membership above the regular $15 membership? Can't seem to find anything on bestbuy.com.
 
Maybe a really stupid question, but how can I tell if I'm part of GZ:U? I don't see anything online telling me I am.

how long ago did you sign up for the magazine subscription? if it was before I believe September then you should have received either an email stating you were eligible for the Gamers Unlocked upgrade. You should have been mailed a coupon to take in to activate it. It either would have came with one of the magazines or by itself.
 
So I really wanted the 50% off guide coupon for Skyrim. I did the unlocked coupon on Sept.12, and I'm still not unlocked. I went to the store and talked to the manager who gave me to a video game specialist.

He said it was done right but it still isn't unlocked. He called the number on the rewards zone card and was on hold for an hour before getting cut off. I called the number when I got home and was told it would be over a twenty minute wait.

I went ahead and tried to e-mail, but that probably won't work out.

The good news, though, is that they are going to sell me the guide at half off, and they took $10 off the price of the game to match Target's gift card.

They were really great at the store, so hopefully this will get resolved because I just subscribed to the magazine one month before, and want my free one year renewal for unlocking. Also, I'm tired of going to the store to trade in games and having it tell me I'm not unlocked.

Well, that's my story, so do with it what you will.

it was probably after september. i signed up during the trade in for 50% more if you pre-order gears 3.

I guess I'm not "unlocked" then. If I wanted to become "unlocked" now, what do I have to do/pay?

laaaaammmmeee basically it says, b2g1 free on games that aren't in high demand (skyrim, uncharted 3, battlefield 3, mw3, batman AC, etc...)
 
Curious, are those receiving the coupons already receiving the monthly magazine?
I signed up at the beginning and no coupon pack.

Got my coupons yesterday, and my first mag today.
 
I received my first mag today along with the packet. I plan to use my coupon for Halo Anniversary, Super Mario 3D Land, and ...hmm....
 
I got my coupons today, and I noticed the digital content offer. I thought about trying to buy Nightwing for Batman, but how would you buy that in-store? I've never seen Best Buy actually sell digital content in their store before.
 
Best Buy generally doesn't require physical coupons with their official coupons, usually all that's needed is the 7 digit SKU. Can someone post what the SKU is from these coupons?

MY GZ CLUB still says NOT unlocked in my RZ account. Thus, not magazine, no coupons. I contacted @GAMER, and they said I should get a magazine by 4 November....nope. Best Buy dropped the ball on this GZ club.
 
Just signed up for Unlocked this month. Hope I get the B2G1 coupon before the end of next month. :pray:
 
No coupon yet even though I activated my unlocked coupon on September 12th. I hope I get it before it expires. I already got my gamer magazine for this month.

Oh well... I have to pay something for unlocked....

I was make RZ card July 6th when i bought 12issue magazine..
 
I just found out that I'm not unlocked! If you have received the letter with the magazine for signing up to the subscription early on (the summer or before) make sure when you take that unlocked letter that the cashier scans the "unlocked" barcode that they should have with them. Just scanning the coupon will not work (also your rz membership). I had did this weeks ago and wondered why my account didn't change with the "unlocked status". I am posting here just in case some of you are wondering why you don't or didn't get anything in the mail and if you do not check the bb forums. If you pay for the unlock along with the subscription also make sure that they do the scanning thing. I wish I would have known before waiting around wondering what happened.

*sigh* oh best buy. :(

I e-mailed the RZ Customer Service, and they have not provided me any good answers. I'm sick and tired of this. I sent a 3rd or 4th e-mail to them. I guess if no resolution this time, I will call. Hopefully I will get something for free out of this mess Best Buy has.

Do you still have the receipt where you paid $14.99?
Check it to make sure they entered your reward number.
That ended up being the issue with me... they rerung the order with the reward zone and I was unlocked within the day.

I do, but I already did that....and the employees were clueless. The Customer Service Helpdesk SHOULD be able to fix my account. You would think it would be an easy setting on one's account. I'll have to look for my receipt AGAIN, for the 4th time.
 
I'm not unlocked either. I signed up in the store for the magazine subscription and even received the letter saying i was being upgraded right before i received my first magazine. This month, no magazine and no coupons...Very odd indeed.
