Actually this makes a good amount of sense. Think about, Riptide is coming out soon if im correct. Why else would they make a coupon for the first game? To get rid of copies they currently have so all the focus is on dead island 1.5.

It has already dropped once to $20 before this coupon so I doubt it will go any lower.

I went in today to trade in a few games and got to talking with the Gamer Specialist regarding my not being GCU even though I should be.

Over the course of the conversation we got to talking about how there is "technically" two issues for this month.

-COD exclusive that says Fall 2012
-Assassin's Creed III that says October 2012

He said they got the COD issue in this past Sunday and are going to be putting out the AC3 issue this coming Sunday.

He asked if I had received an issue yet for this month and I told him no and I thought it would have arrived by now. He told me to take the COD issue today and if no AC3 issue arrives by next week to come in and he will give me that issue as well because they've been having a lot of complaints regarding the subscription issues from new/old subscribers.

Good experience....and I hope my mag shows up because I want that used game coupon.

To me the funniest thing is that people actually follow sports so damned close and pay so much money to watch overpaid jocks catch, dribble, shoot or hit a fuckin' ball.:roll:

But if it's what people enjoy, then so be it, but I'm glad we switched to the $50 a month Comcast lineup which has ZERO sports channels anymore. Of course, they also nuked FX(Archer) and SyFy(or however it's spelled now). Not that I watch that much tv anymore anyway.

They have plenty of Dead Island GOTYs, as well as those pre-order steelbooks for Riptide. Wouldn't shock me at all to drop to $10 after coupon by the end of the month.

Don't have mine yet either. I just renewed my sub in September, I'm curious to know if it will just contine on or if it'll be a 6-8 week wait like it is with new subscribers.

That's weird, my Best Buy had Dead Island for 19.99 yesterday. Is it cheaper in store or something? Looks like I'll be getting it for $10 Sunday.

Where do they get mailed from? Maybe it's a geographical thing. Maybe I get min tomorrow. Usually I get it the Monday or Tuesday before the new coupons start.

Nope, definitely GOTY. Then again, the tab could have been for vanilla but the only version they had for sale was the GOTY edition, I didn't think to check at the time. I'll find out for sure Sunday, I'll post if it is for the GOTY.
 
I renewed in Sep. I haven't received my issue yet, but niether has my husband. They normally come in together, so I will update when his gets here if there is a delay with the renewals.
 
Have to say these are some very disappointing coupons. The $20 pre-order promotion is the last worthwhile one left of gamer unlocked. I would have loved the $15 off PSN+ but of course they moved the few worthwhile coupons into a new magazine (not included). It is funny since no one even reads the magazine, you basically pay for coupons and the RZGU benefits, so $10 for a magazine that just has a couple coupons in it is crazy.
 
Haven't gotten the new mag in the mail, but I did get something better. Went to renew my unlocked that expires in the middle of the month, and the guy gave me both the new magazine and the special COD issue. The normal one scanned as past of the unlocked subscription and he manually discounted the COD to 0.

Actually I do read the magazine, albeit maybe only once, but still I DO read it.

As for the other coupons in the COD magazine, there isn't anything in that that would really interest me, since PS+ would have to be discounted MORE than just $15 off to make it worthwhile for me.
 
I fin it funny how their review states how the angry birds game is not even nearly worth it for the price, which goes against what they are trying to get at on the coupon for it lol! I would buy it for no more than $10. They should have just made it an arcade game :p

Wasn't there a time few sellers was selling them for cheap on eBay after E3? I wasn't interested so I forgot the price, was it more than $15 off?

I'm not gonna try and justify the $40 price tag, but it is nice being able to enjoy the games as a family on the big screen. We have enjoyed the purchase at $40 but I am a CAG so I will be adjusting the price when I get the coupon.

I was looking forward to this issue for the coupons alone.

That $10 off used $29.99 will be used for sure.

Might even pick up an additional mag for an extra coupon.

I saw this in the store today and could have sworn it had a shelf tag of $29.99, or $20 with the upcoming coupon.

What do you plan on using that $10 off for? I still have mine from last months coupons... Or were you trying to be sarcastic?

I could easily use the same coupon at GameStop because the turn around time from a person selling a game and it showing up on the shelves is minimal. And yes, while this system has some flaws (qa resting on the consumer for 1), one benefit is that newer titles show up "pre-owned" faster at GS than BB.

All month I watched BB website to see if a Madden 13 or Darksiders or other $29&up was available but nope. I'd just assume rather see a $5 off $20. Best Buy just doesn't have the used inventory yet.

Side note, still didn't receive this months magazine yet.

Or are the games with coupons usually about the same price during that month?

In all honesty I intended to use it to buy WWE'12 with it but the price has dropped to $24.99 now.

Nascar 2011 is $34.99 so might grab that with it.

I really wished I had noticed that coupon was in Septembers issue....I was in the store the other day trading in stuff to get store credit and prices hadnt adjusted yet then.

Dammit.

In my experience most of the games with coupons go on sale at some point, but I don't think anyone knows when they'll be on sale, so it's worth waiting.

Yep, that's the one. Just wanted to get a general feel of the "discounted" price of PS+. I too won't never give these people the satisfaction.
