Tiny Brains has major netplay issues (constant freezes/lag). Do not buy it for that unless you plan to do local co-op. Dev seems to have no interest in fixing it.

He took credit though, he didn't have to. I kind of get the desire to jump on them quick, during the last Steam sale for instance that list is probably gone in 2 or 3 minutes tops, mostly to lurkers. I wouldn't have taken eight, but it wasn't up to me to decide who got what.

Ultimately, it's the OP's choice. If wanted to do it differently, he could have. I see a lot of people blaming people for giving away codes like that, but here's the deal. It's their code, and they can give them away however they like. They do it knowing full well lurkers, or one poster could get them all.

Reprisal Universe has keys on Desura-client. It was free for a year or so, you might have added it to your account.

This is despite dev saying that freeriders won't be getting keys.

I assume this was to vent and not a request for information on setting up a user agent?

Edit: Apparently it took me at least 2 minutes to reply, during which time drabe found a link with a guide, posted, and probably solved a rubik's cube or something.

That's cool, whatever OP wants.

But it's not about how OP gave them away - it's about grabbing things up. Exercise a little restraint. Allow others to be part of the community instead of monopolizing it.

I'm clearly old-school here: take a bite, pass it around. If there is still a bite after a little bit, take another one.

Nobody can play eight games at once. I'll bet at least half of them sit in a library, unplayed. And if you are going to grab that many, put out a couple codes you aren't using, for someone else.

Owning up to taking a huge chunk doesn't absolve it from being grabby.

I don't always use the keys for myself. A lot of times I use them to give members of my family nice little surprises. I just call up my sister and/or brother and am all like "Hey check out your Steam account." and they'll be all like "Thanks this totally made my day n' stuff." cause I like to do cool things for my siblings once and a while.

Looks like pretty much everyone said thank you, actually.

As for the nameless asshat, that'd definitely be worse. Not suggesting otherwise. But owning up to it isn't a miraculous cure-all.

This isn't meant to 'pick' on anyone so much as ask if it's really necessary to do. And hopefully give someone, anyone - asshats included - a little pause.

If it doesn't, everyone is really OK with it - and excuses it because of an admission or because it's the internet or whatever, and that's the community you want, then that's what you'll have.

It's appreciated, truly.. I would have paid for a few of them, actually. Excellent way to unload keys, instead of adding to the collection of unused codes.

I'm clearly hitting the 'father' stage at the moment. My step-kids are so keen on grabbing a huge share and leaving little or nothing for anyone else that it hits a nerve, even on CAG. (Having witnessed a 4-year old pile all the donuts on her plate, taking one bite out of each of them just this past weekend, then throwing a huge fit when she had to share them...there was no way she could possibly eat them all.)

That won't stop me from wishing there was a bit more sharing among CAG members, though.
