Heading to bed I got to get up early to go on a mini vacation with my boyfriend around the time the sales will be starting. I'll try to catch up with this thread as much as I can and I've already got all 10 of the normal mystery cards and stocked my Steam wallet with $100 (and likely another $100) BRING IT ON!!!

This thread will no longer resemble what we know it to be now in a few hours. Hope you all get what you want during the sales!! :grouphug:

the burton look was exactly what drew me to play it as well. Needless to say, it was quite a ways off from what I was hoping for :cold: I don't even remember the asylum at the beginning of the game, and was more referring to the mushroom area that acted as a tutorial of sorts. This is random, but have you played indiegamestand's current game The Cat Lady? I know you love point and click adventure games so I thought you might have, but I'm hesitant to try it since it gives me a similarly disturbing vibe as Madness Returns :cold:
 
Not going to hop on the mystery card wagon as there's no imaginable payoff that would be a big benefit to me.  Don't really want any recent AAA games nor do I care about something totally out of left field like HL3 beta or whatever.  Only about ten or so titles I could see myself buying during this sale and most of them are indie or old.  The $60ish I have in card money will probably cover it.  I did splurge and treat myself to a whopping sixty cent Dredmor background -- it was the rare one!

Also wonder if a new Humble Weekly will start tomorrow or if they'll just take a hiatus.

Anyone have any knowhow on how to rip game audio from obscure data files? I think the files I'm looking at are "ASSETS" files, but it's hard to tell.

Umm, what are the mystery cards? I've been totally lost on the whole trading card thing since it was announced. All I understand is that cards drop in games and you can trade them to make a full set for badges and coupons, but I never heard about mystery cards or foil cards and what not.

No, haven't played The Cat Lady. I try to stay away from dark games. I get bothered easy. Like, The Ring movies gave me nightmares for two days. That's how much of a weenie I am.

I went to bed right after getting my three drops, and thanks to your 3-pack I spent $6.67 on the game and after fees got $2.54, $2.09, and $1.70 for a total of $6.33. Didn't quite break even but the game was fun enough to justify a $0.34 net cost. I probably could have priced a bit higher but wanted to be the cheapest when I went to bed.

Anything that's 75-80% off. Seriously, if the X-COM and BL2 DLC get 75% sales, I'll pick some of those up. Other than that, I'll just have to see what Gabe cooks up; believe it or not, I'm looking forward to some kind of card- and/or badge-related mayhem.

I'm hoping for some good indie sales, especially for Gunpoint, Swapper, Rogue Legacy, Cart Life, and Penny Arcade 4.  Maybe these are a stretch since they're relatively new, but if any of them are even 50% off I'd probably bite, as I want to play them right away instead of hording into my inescapable backlog :)

Yes I know that they will probably be in bundles eventually, but I want to play them now!  :bouncy:

I've got like freakin' 60 items on my Steam wishlist, but I'm mainly hoping for some good deals on Skyrim Legendary, ACreed 3, Tomb Raider, and Ace Combat Assault Horizon. Those four are my top hopes for something awesome.

I'll be keeping an eye out for cardzzz games, and some good RPGs or action games. Pretty much whatever strikes my fancy, I'm at 280 games, want to get above 300 if at all possible :)

If you were trying to sell a McPixel Hot-Dog Island foil last night I was one of them. Finally sold sometime after I went to bed though
 
I really want Cold Fear and Silent Hill: Homecoming really cheap ... and maybe Advent Rising, I know mostly older stuff that I want to play again in 3D ... if they'll work good.
