Can anyone actually buy the space empires pack?

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/287/

Everytime I try to check out it just says all games already in cart and wont let me check out
I was able to add it to my cart, but the "purchase" buttons are greyed out.

Interestingly, that pack isn't showing up in the search and it's not listed on the store page for each individual game. How did you even come across it?

EDIT: I also noticed that there is this rather curious quote from the checkout page. "It looks like you have packages which overlap in your cart. You need to remove the redundant packages from your cart before you can checkout."

Just because of this I will have to buy this game because Mario 3 is my favorite game of all time.
As long as you don't Hulk smash me if you don't like it! It's definitely different than Mario, it's just my favorite game of the platformer genre since Mario 3.

And be SURE to play it with a controller. For the best responsiveness and ease of play, I use LB for jump and RB for attack.

So has anyone ever gotten a foil card from a booster pack? I don't recall seeing any mentioned
Booster packs are supposed to have a higher chance of giving a foil, though how high of a chance is unknown.

Once you craft a badge you lose the cards. But, you will still be able to see the large-sized card artwork by going to your profile and clicking on the badge.

If you want to make the badges, you get extra slots, the backgrounds, emoticons, and that's it. It's just improvements for your Steam profile. Most people here don't seem to care, but I do, so I craft.
They have said they are going to implement some sort of card book that will display all the cards you have collected. It was supposed to come out when the cards were released, but got pushed back.

And what is Steam Guard?
Steam Guard sends you a confirmation email when it thinks you're using a new browser/computer, I think it's enabled by default? I disabled it for a few minutes because I never got the emails, but now it says I can't sell anything on the market until my account's been using Steam Guard for 15 days.

I remember you giving a favorable review of it last summer sale I think, lol. I have both Drakensang (from a Groupees bundle) and River of Time from Amazon. Which one would you start first if you were me?
I'd start with the first one as it's still the only one out of the two i've played. Plus I heard the second one improves on the first, so much so it may be hard to go back and play the first afterwards. Though nothing much story wise connects them I heard expect for little nods and winks here and there.

You have a higher chance for every ten steam levels you earn.

Yea I get the same

I was browsing the sale listings at steamgamesales and came across it

Remember, Valve Time.

Who knows how that card book will even work. Will it only display the ones in your inventory or the ones you've crafted into badges? So, it's up to you to decide if you'll keep em handy or not.

Speaking of cards, the drops are happening very slowly for me today. I'm idling five games and have only gotten six cards since 1PM EST.

You have a higher chance every ten levels of getting a booster pack. Your Steam level doesn't impact the chances of a booster containing a foil, to my knowledge.

Whoops, my bad. You have it right.

That might be your problem.. idling in multiple games at the same time has always screwed up the drop rate for me, but somehow it doesn't affect some people. I got all 9 drops today , but it took a while to get my last Stellar Impact card.

Right... just didn't know it was called that.

Sometimes (for me at least), when the sequel is a prequel, I like to play it first, then if I fall in love with the series, going backwards (even if the older games are crappier) is still fun. I think that's what I did with Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, then went back to 1.

Can't argue with your logic, though. I'll probably start with the first one, thanks.

I can't find the post at the moment (I'll edit if I do), but I'm almost certain they said the card book will display every card you have collected regardless of if you have made it into a badge or not.

Edit: Looks like Mephistox found it.

Also, regarding Bioshock Infinite: It is one of the few games I would pay more than $20 for. It's visceral, intense, and just an overall great game. Seriously great. The campaign is long, with brilliant graphics and an equally brilliant story that is filled with symbolism and real-world issues. And what's more is that your female companion in the game, Elizabeth, is fucking awesome. She finds money, hides in corners during fights and throws you health and ammo, and her power is just splooge-tastic. She completely changes the role of the escorted female in every sense. It's one of my favorite games in recent years.

How likely is it that FFVII will go on sale?  I know it just came out on steam last week, so I don't have high hopes for it to go on sale, but I'm also still relatively new to steam so I don't know if steam usually puts new games on sale, especially during the summer sale.

I'm willing to pay the $11.99 for it because I never played it before, but $11.99 seems too much for a game that's over 10 years old.

I'm just a bit  bored of my xbox and would like to play an rpg on my laptop, but it's too weak for skyrim, and I've already played Oblivion and Fallout: NV on it. Any recommendations for an RPG or adventure game that is not too heavy on the graphics?

FF7 is unlikely to go on sale and if it does it'll be at most 25% off.

You could take a look at the Ys games, they're pretty good action RPGs and not graphically intensive at all. They're also likely to go on sale for 66% off or more at some point during the sale.

Wait until it is either a daily/community vote and if by the last day it isn't, go ahead and buy it.

How "LONG" is the campaign?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good 75% off coop game?
I don't really think there are very many games that would currently fit into this category. Aside from some of the Valve titles (L4D2, CS:S...), I don't see much that would meet your demands. You'd probably be better setting a dollar amount.

But then, I'd also suggest waiting on daily deals as any co-op game you might be interested in might be cheaper in a few days (or even a few hours if it shows up as a flash deal).

My Steam account says about 13 hours. I'll probably play it again toward the end of this year. If someone has been itching to play it, I would say that the summer sale is one of the best times to pick it up, otherwise it will certainly see a bigger discount in the fall or winter.

Thanks.

Have you played the game yet in 1999 Mode?

Thanks for the replies everyone I'm going to hold off buying FFVII for a while.

The Ys games look pretty interesting, I was reading the forums for the first game and someone compared it to dark souls; meaning it was challenging, which is a big plus.  I'll probably pick it up.

Could anyone give me a mini-review on Scribblenauts? Close to biting on it on Amazon for a bit over $4 + the three free games + cards (only like 20-30 cents on them though...), but I just can't push myself over the edge.

Is it really that good? I'm not against things looking kiddy, but it does look really really kiddy as far as the graphics go.

Hmmm ... didn't see it on the update list on the Steam Group today but it looks like there were Steam Cards added for Skyrim as well.

Edit: Ahh seems it was just a bit early. Skyrim was listed in a second update for the daily card additions.

It's all about finding creative or crazy ways to solve small puzzles. It can get a little tedious after long sessions, but and hour or two here and there are great. The word choices have a lot of variation and added adjectives to make what you create more specific. There's a lot of freedom in how to solve each puzzle.

Tell me it's about a Greek dude who fights with magical lamb-meat derived powers and I'll buy a million copies.

Gyromancer?

It's the one in which you hula hoop as the skunk from Looney Toons. It outsold Wii Fit last year but performed poorly as a dating sim.

I own Toki Tori and didn't get any coupon. Not that I want it, but just putting it out there.

same

Of course I bought the Don't Starve two pack thinking one of my friends would want to split it and of course no one does. If anyone happens to want to pay me $6.75 instead of $11.99 to Steam shoot me a PM.

I get up at daybreak and shoot me a PM every Sunday before church. Makes me feel more manly. I also have the urge to go fuck myself.

Finally got my first foil out of more drops than I want to know, from Defiance. Hopefully I can sell it to cover the cost of the game and maybe make a few bucks in profit.

URGENT: If anyone bought CS:GO standalone on sale and has it ready to be gifted, would you be willing to trade for my CS Complete Bundle? I made the dumb mistake of buying the bundle when the only game I don't have is CS:GO. If I activated the bundle on my account I'd be wasting all the other games included so I'd be willing to trade my complete CS for someone's standalone CS:GO just so someone can make better use of it. Thanks in advance!

Nice. Still no foil for me after all the card drops from every indie-bundle game and 2 booster packs + a few more games. Cool.
