Since it was on a Flash Deal this time around I would look for it again as both a daily deal and most likely a community vote as well. If its anything like last year's sale the big games showed up at least once in each of the categories.

It's so new and I know a lot of people here at least really want it, so I don't have high hopes. But even 50% off would be pretty amazing. The demo really whet my appetite and I want to play now, but paying more than $3 for an indie game just makes me feel so...dirty...

 
Cities XL Platinum is the newest version of the game right ? Is it actually a new game or an enhancement of the version before that. Never had any of the games in the series so not quite sure. 

 
So....I'm still not clear on this whole trading card thing. Should I keep the card drops, put them on the market, or try to build the whole collection for each game? What so special about foils? And is there any chances of getting free games?

A significant number of games I want aren't discounted at all. Stuff like Fez, 10000000, and Evoland. Some of them are not particularly new. That's not a good sign for the quality of this sale (for me, at least).

What you do with them is really up to you, as some prefer crafting badges and others just want the money. There isn't any chance for free games yet though for crafting.

 
was the first one to reply to the thread, I got the code.... dunnno if ordering that early means you're getting the code but I did, I used paypal and made a new best buy account.

Thanks for the info. Hadn't been on Steam in a while and came back for the sale, so I was totally clueless about the cards, and everybody seems to be talking about them.

I had no idea about the cards as well and someone did a great job of explaining them to me.... I'm not interested in them at all seem lame...

A game with trading card functionality has X cards in a set, X/2 of these cards can be unlocked through playing the game (how, I don't know, I don't think it's as explicit as achievements) and X/2 you must obtain through the marketplace or through trading.

When you have all X cards for a game you can destroy them all forever to get a badge for the game.

When you have a badge for a game you earn experience points toward your Steam level (Steam level ups can get you stuff like a bigger friends list), and you can also get new emoticons, new backgrounds, and coupons. The coupons suck, or so I've been told.

The whole thing is shit. This is what happens when you buy Team Fortress 2 hats.

If Ubi ever gets rid of Tages, Anno 2070 will jump to the top of my wishlist.

And if they ever patch in a virtual server (to enable the "online" goodies while offline)... I might not even wait for a sale.

Of course, none of this will happen in the next 11 days, so Ubisoft doesn't have to worry that I might actually give it some money during the Summer Seal.

their a nice addition too those that enjoy them an it expands on the option for us too have a trade market. so far i made $47 selling the cards before the steam sale, am sure i miss out on little $$$ but am more an impulse seller, so i don't mind. i mostly enjoy it as it a gateway for future things, we may be able too buy, sell, trade with. ( my 2 cents )

Yeah, I placed three orders using PayPal balance, bank CC and PayPal CC over the course of the last hour. The bank and PayPal CC were canceled within minutes of order received email, still haven't received anything regarding the other. Not that I needed three, I'm just hoping for at least one to go through...

yeah I suppose it's a decent way to make $, but all the cards I seem to get all are trending at $1, $2, sometimes less so it's whatever lol

I paid full price for RL right after it came out and don't regret it one bit. $12 is a steal for one of the best games to come out so far this year.

Yeah... no cancellations on any of my orders, but none have gave codes yet either. Makes no sense to me how you can do it first, not get it, and then people can do it over an hour later and get it no problem.

Having just finished my normal playthrough of the Mechromancer, I say yes. I'm not focusing on the BFF tree as I'm using DT as more of a distraction since I play solo. Even though I don't have her leveled very high yet, I can already tell that my Anarchy build is going to be very fun. I hate dying with her more than any other character, especially after accumulated 400 stacks of Anarchy.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered my copy an hour ago, got confirmation that BB received my order, and it's been in processing ever since. I'm fully expecting it to be canceled, but you never know... it'd be nice to find out, either way. Maybe they'll give us something for our trouble if they do cancel all these orders?

I've been enjoying the character quite a bit, the skill trees (support and damage) are an interesting combination. Also , being female, I enjoying finally playing a kick ass gal (since most primary female characters in many games are annoying ;-)

Currently my new fave, I played mostly Brick and Roland in BL1.

So Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC is included in the Borderlands 2 DLC? I've read that it is but the description on Steam for the Season Pass doesn't mention it.
