Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numberous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

Games, when possible, will have their SKU number posted. Please post any SKU numbers you have that aren't already in the list!

Also, some stores will be able to give you a price adjustment if your clearance game(s) drop-- if not, you can always try to return and rebuy the game(s).

Actually you wanna know whats really weird? Both of my "USED" copies of Way of Samurai 3 look brand new. They are both XY sealed and the XBOX sticker is still on the right side. Interesting. I bought 2. One rang 7.89 One rang 27.89. But they marked down the 27.89 one to 7.89 + the B1g40% off applied.

Heres a picture of both below

So was Uncharted a clearance game that was selling for $6 or a glitch in the system that got corrected and made it jump back up to $30. Maybe TRU just moved it back to $30 to drop it to $15 for black friday:whistle2:? What ever it is, sucks I couldn't find it for $6:cry: Oh well maybe next time.

Not sure if that even matters. I have no idea how TRU determines prices for used games.

But like I said as well, both of them appear brand new never opened. So if anything it looks like they were traded in new.

Maybe one is missing the manual and one isn't? I know they do take off money when games are traded in if they're missing anything, but you would think if that's the case that they'd sell it for $17.89 and not $7.89.

TRU doesn't set the prices for the used games. They ship to stores directly from Gamers Factory. I believe the $7.98 price came from one of the early shipments as I've seen the $27.98 price at a few stores from recent shipments.
 
yep went and only got 29.99. boo. i already platted it but great game. for those that got some amazon's tiv is 11 for a copy now, up from 9.50 yesterday. peace cags

I think both of my copies are brand new. In fact im 99.9% sure. They are XY fold sealed with the xbox sticker on the side. So there wouldnt be any manual missing. Probably just a mistake

What condition are the used games generally in at TrU? Is it a crapshoot or are they a bit pickier than Gamestop in terms of not selling discs that looked like they were used for target practice?

What's the return policy for the used games?

This is the first time Ive bought some of their used games. And so far they both appear to be new. So Im not a good person to look at so far.

It seems like every TRU got a stack of DJ Max Fevers PSP. They have special stickers on the back to make them 9.98.


AS for Used games. I got 2 PSP games used, 7.98 each (with the promo like $5 each) Obscure and something else, both games have XY fold seals on them. Im finding it odd it almost looks like their used games are all new.

So basically ToysRUs sells new as used and Gamestop sells used as new...

Some of those seemingly sealed 'used' games may also be the fault of some of us flippers, as TRU was taking in sealed games when they first started taking them in for trade.

I forget what the game was, but I think I traded in 3-4 copies of it while it was still sealed.

And no it was NOT one of the BB 'coupon glitch' ones.

Maybe, but the most likely scenario is that this company is buying store returns and inventory overstock and selling it as used to avoid potential issues as I don't think that titles like Way of the Samurai 3 ever hit flip levels.

b1g1 40% off and b1g1 50% stacks on used games. Over priced, not updated, and nothing compared to their clearance price on same titles.

I am having some buyers remorse.
Can I return used games at another TRU location? What is TRU's policy on their used games?

Interesting. I figured they would stack.;) Now it's just a question of getting to the other TRU that had the better selection of used titles to take advantage of this before the end of the night on Saturday.:D

1st is full price, (2nd - 50%)-40%

so the 2nd game is more like 70% off, rather than 90%.

That's exactly what it does. I just hope that my local TRU has a couple of the earlier copies of Way Of The Samurai 3 for 360 with the $7.89 price marked on them. Nothing like getting a game for $.79 after double promo.:lol:
 
I had the cashier adjust my second copy of samurai down to 7.98 . I figured it might be overkill to try and get them to price it again today :)

While this deal sounds nice, I have a hard time finding games other than the mismarked samurais to buy. Although I still maintain most of their used games are sealed. This would be great on psp and ds if that promo started yet since obscure and other decent titles are 7.98

I don't think you are calculating it right, it should be 50% off then 40%, so it would cost you $1.58 for the second game...

It's a shame my TRU used games are too expensive when compared to the new games offers and is also a not so great selection...
 
I thought I got lucky when I snagged the last two copies of Uncharted off the shelf in my store only to have them ring up at $29.99. The girl was only shocked that they were in-line and not behind the glass case and snapped "clearance prices have NEVER been national". I really didn't care but thought it was pretty funny as this was my first attempt at buying something out of this thread.

Most used bins are the same at all TRU which makes you believe they arent really used.

With that said if you can find Way of Samauri 360 for 7.98 thats the best title Ive seen. Actually the PSP Obscure for 7.98 is also very good if youre into that.

Even if it's $1.50 for the second game, that's still a better deal than $8 for the second game.

I still have to laugh at the 'used' copy of MAG for PS3 for $49.90 in the 'used' bin at my closest TRU.:roll: Nothing like the used copy of the game being $20 over MSRP for the new copies.
 
Was glad to pick up a used :ps3: Overlord II for under $4, since I missed it new on clearance. Also picked up a used :ps3: Way of the Samurai 3 for $7.

:cry: The only copy of WOTS 3 that I found was marked(and came up as) $22.89. I bought that with a copy of Eat Lead for PS3 for $29.95 total($5.36 for Eat Lead after double stack:lol:), but then I returned both since I realized I didn't need either game as of now.

Actually most of the 'used' games at TRU are Y fold factory sealed or appear to be, so chances are TRU converted over some stock and had Gamer's Factory(probably another company owned by TRU, much like DealTree is owned by Best Buy) slap used stickers and higher prices on them.

I loved Eat Lead. A few glitches, but overall fun with a lot of humor ... as noted, you should be able to get it new for less than $10.
 
This is after the fact but the B1G40 and B1G50 on used stacked with all formats last night. For some reason it was applying B1G40% on the DS and PSP used despite the B1G40 only being on Wii/Ps3/360. This was pretty nice since a couple of the used bins had alot of 7.89 ds and psp.
