What's in the PSP's PS Store (6/2/11): The Laxative Edition

I wonder how much they are going to charge for Badman 2 UMD version then.

It is like they are promoting UMD when they are suppose to be supporting DD lol

the badman 2 website says it will be $20 on PSN, $30 on UMD - only the UMD version includes the first game (which is now $10 on PSN).

So in the end it's a wash in terms of cost, and you can have the format you choose to have.

I think FMH 2010 has now set a record for the biggest $ to megabytes...($39.99 for 32 megs) and I guess WCIV is the least. 2.2 gigs for $5.99.

Considering picking up a Playstation Store card and grabbing Sonic Rivals and Crush for the hell of it while they're on sale.

Problem being I've only got a 2 gig card with less than a gig available. Oh wells, buying a new memory card isn't worth it.

They'd be about 750 MB together, though you could easily double your storage space for about the same price as those two games or even quadruple it for a bit more than that if you want a better situation for PSP storage.

Was anyone else disappointed with the AoT demo?

After playing through the 3rd person masterpiece that was KZ:Liberation, I had my hopes kind of high for another chance at a decent Co-Op shooter on the PSP. However, everything seemed so linear and cramped. Switching the aggro seemed to have nowehere near the same effect on strategy that it did in the PS3/Xbox release. The weapon customization also seemed a bit weak, as you could only have linear upgrades, not the mix and match that made the weapon customization so much fun on the larger releases.

I am definately glad there was a demo for this because I was on the fence.

The problem here is that this sale is the first time I've ever considered buying someone from PSN and once it's over with I doubt I'll ever have the urge to buy anything from there again so I'd be buying a larger memory card for a one-time deal.

Thats awfully definitive.

Even if you NEVER buy anything from the PSN again. There are always free demos, videos and comics to download from the store and even if you NEVER download those, you could always put your own multimedia on the memory stick. I personally keep a separate stick just for books/music/video stuff...

Then again, I imagine that is the simplest solution is to just download one and delete it when you are done, then download the next.

But in the *counts* 3 years I've owned my PSP I've never used it for anything other than games. No Music, Videos, or Photos. And I'd rather support digital distribution/downloads as little as possible.

So you use up an entire gigabyte of space for solely save files and demos?

For one thing you may want to branch out your usage, because right now you are using a small fraction of your PSPs capabilities. For another thing you may want to reconsider your prejudice against DD, since sales on the PSN occur at least once a quarter and do in fact offer some great deals. However, these are just suggestions to help you get more out of your considerable hardware investment.

That said, I believe we already offered a reasonable solution to your problem. So, if the extra seven or so dollars for another memory stick is too large a monetary investment and swapping the space as you beat each game is too much of a time investment, then I guess you will just have to choose one title or the other. Personally, I would recommend Crush.

$15. It was permanently dropped to $10 a few weeks ago and is still on sale after the break ended, so I'm not sure if it's still on sale or if that's another price drop.

Is it worth $5? I liked Comix Zone and Final FIght when I was younger so it seems like a natural choice, but I read some poor impressions when it first came out.
is the free disgaea dlc temporary?
It shouldn't be.

It's (Pleinar being free) supposed to be an apology for screwing up the DLC a couple months ago. And Sapphire was always meant to be free, but accidently was charged for when it was first put up.

But this is both Sony & NISA we are talking about, so...who knows? They could screw up again. But it should be permanent.

Just downloaded the Gran Turismo add-on. The Gran Turismo Car pack adds the cars that were given out for free when you pre-ordered Gran Turismo PSP at certain places.

The cars included in the pack are

GT by Citroen (yellow)
Bugatti Veyron (black)
Nissan GT-R Spec V (blue)
Lamborghini Countach (orange)
Ferrari Enzo (yellow)

These are already in the game, but you dont have to spend time earning money to buy the cars. Very nice for a free add-on.

Tuesday. They actually sometimes upload games to the store as the same day of the retail release. Not always, usually they don't. But sometimes, like maybe 1/3 of it?

I was going to get Dracula (bought a PSN card in Nov just for it), but now that it's finally out, I'm now more excited for Monsters Probably Stole my Princess which is due sometime in Feb. (Only got $7 to spare on my PSN account)

I wonder when Puzzle Chronicles will hit PSN? (It's a Puzzle-RPG from the makers of PuzzleQuest, but not match 3, more like Puzzle fighter). It's also from Konami and according to Gamestop at least, just came out.

Weird that they (Konami) had Silent HIll up on the store rightaway, but Shadow of Destiny didn't. (Also weird that Konami released 3 straight PSP releases in a row)

Grumble. Still no Puzzle Chronicles. Though honestly, I probably wasn't going to buy it, spending $30 for a game that will soon be released on the 360 for $15 is pretty silly.

Looks like Sega is having a sale on some PSN stuff tomorrow

Crazy Taxi, Full Auto 2, Sonic Unleashed DLC, Valkyria Chronicles DLC, and Sonic Rivals 1 and 2 will all positively swoon with discounts. Check back here on Thursday, when this limited-time sale starts, to see the special bundles that will be available!

Some of those are PSP titles I think.

Newbie here for PSN

What is PS1 Classics (PS3/PSP)?

Can i download and play PS1 game on my PSP? I do not have PS3

Does anyone know if Football Manager Handheld 2010 has demo on PSN?

It means that they're compatible with both the PS3 and PSP and can be purchased on either system, or the PC with MediaGo.

I don't think there's a demo for FMH.

No, I use that whenever Sony doesn't indicate how long these games are on sale. The Ubisoft stuff is probably only until the update today while the D3 stuff (Ben 10 down) has been on sale for a few weeks now.
Looks like Grandia is coming this Thursday for $9.99. I was never big on RPGs back in the PSX days, how does this stack up against the other classics on the PSN?

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/02/coming-to-psn-this-week-grandia-psone-classic/
When Grandia first came out, it was supposed to be the FFVII killer. It had true 3D graphics and an excellent battle system. However, there were framerate issues that detracted somewhat from the graphics, and even though there was voice acting in Grandia, it was pretty cheesy. Also, the story was pretty derivative (i.e. unassuming boy saves the world).

With that being said, this is a game that I will definitely purchase at some point because the battle system is really fun, and the characters and setting are very appealing.

That's playstation. The saturn one had no framerate issues, superior 2d, the bitmap didn't zoom 1 frame in the beginning "it was smooth in that part" and the game supposedly loaded faster too.

And it's not a boy saves the world plot in the beginning. He was just looking for adventure instead of the I GOTS TO BE DRAGONMASTER DYNE.
