Kinectimals Unleashed does not automatically pop achievements across both versions, unless they updated it since I completed it.

It does share save files in the cloud, so what you need to do is unlock an achievement on one version, but do NOT save the game. Load up the other version with your last save, then you'll start just before you unlocked the same achievement so you can unlock it again.

Both Wordament games only automatically unlock the leaderboard and games played achievements, the rest you have to redo.

The only one you need to do that for is the reaching level 25 one. Also, the one for playing a daily challenge with cats and dogs, but that one is easily done. The rest pop up automatically when you load up the save file.

^^^They must have patched it then, because when I was grinding it out back in July, it certainly wasn't that way and I had to follow the TA guide to do it the way I mentioned. Meh, not that much more work on my part other than having to boot up the other version a couple of times.

I'm still a little upset that after the Cortana patch I was never able to load up Kinectimals Unleashed ever again. I had all the achievements already, but had finally bought up enough stuff to make the game more enjoyable.

Well I need to start buying the older games that are still out there because I swear Asphalt 5 was on the market with 7, 8 and Overdrive not too long ago and I was gonna play them in order, but today when I checked for 5, it's not there anymore. I'm thinking of just buying all the ones with the old "XBOX LIVE" banner to play it safe.

Has anyone tried gaming on Win10 Phone?

I ordered a 635 today to throw Win10 on.  Just wondering if it's worth loading some games on too?

You are correct. I've been waiting on a sale since $5 was just too much for me. I see the windows phone website states that the app is no longer available. Apparently, that also happened once in June 2013, so maybe it's another temporary instance, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I did notice that there is still a listing of it in the Nokia HD section on Gameloft's website. I don't have a Nokia so I'm not familiar with the separate Nokia versions of some games. I don't have a Nokia to check it out, but maybe this could help you.

I appreciate that but my model isn't listed under the devices dropdown list. Sucks that we didn't get a heads up, but being an older title, I suppose it shouldn't be a major surprise.

Since UbiSoft seems to have the Monopoly license now and EA's retail Monopoly digital titles have been removed, does that mean that the WP titles are about to get delisted? I should probably grab Millionaire while I can.

Certainly a real possibility.

They permanently dropped the price of Monopoly Millionaire down to a reasonable $2.99 a few months back. It's one of those games you'll probably only play for the achievements. Anyone even considering it should get it while it's still available.

Now you got me wondering what other licensed WP games are still around.

I'm about to stream a couple of games from 10tons that you can get on Windows Phone and Windows 8: Sparkle 2 and King Oddball. Plus Crimsonland, which is available on Steam and PS4 and Vita. We're giving out Steam and PSN codes, so don't miss it!

FYI, apparently there are a lot of issues with achievements truly unlocking in Make it Rain.  The first achievement I popped doesn't show on Xbox.com and people on TA are reporting that the majority of their achievements (5 of 7, 7 out of 10, etc) aren't showing up.

^^^The achievement synch issue is more widespread than just Make It Rain, although that seems to be the most reported one I've seen. Ever since that Xbox Live attack about a week ago, many WP games are reportedly not synching all achievements properly. Xbox Forums had a lot of complaints coming in.

Not sure when it will be completely resolved, so until then unlock WP achievements at your own risk, and probably try to avoid unlocking massive grind ones. I got screwed on World at Arms.

The only WP game I've had issues with achievements syncing lately is Make it Rain. 3 achievements did not sync up. Fortunately, since I have 3 WP, I was able to play the game 3 times to try to get those achievements to pop. They finally popped on my 3rd try. Now that I am at 100% I can move on to greener pastures.

Whoa! GeoDefense Swarm is on sale for $1.50. Last week I was debating picking it up or the first GeoDefense and went with the original. I would've been kicking myself today if I had bought Swarm. :)

House of Cards Season 3 is butchering Windows Phone sounds in episode 2 at about 19 minutes. They even throw in achievement unlocked sound.

EDIT: One week when I don't accidently eat my cat's food and have to buy extra, I'm going to submit a porn app for the WP Marketplace. Won't even try to disguise it. Porn in the title, description, screenshots, tile, and the app itself. Just to see if anybody is actually looking at apps before putting them on the marketplace. They certainly don't care about copyright if they do look at the apps. In addition to the probably hundreds of emulated games with ads, now we are getting apps like NBA 2K15 and Mass Effect: Infiltrator. Starting to feel like they abandoned this one and will be starting fresh with Windows 10.

As bad as is it, I'd rather have those shitty ripoffs than 25 zillion flappy bird clones!

Another repeat red stripe deal this week (yes, shocking).....Shoot 1up for WP for $1.50.

No idea what the deal for Win8 is. I'm sure it's a repeat as well.

That's pretty much the whole Lumia line. They've had a lot of success with the low end of the market so that's been their focus but they've ignored the flagship devices. They need an aspirational device for the enthusiasts to show how good it can be. On T-Mobile, the 925 is probably it. (Though I have been happy with my 521 and 635.)

I do get mad at the salespeople at phone carriers who continuously bad mouth Windows Phone. That's why I do my business at a Microsoft Store.
After a month of trying to be done with Android, I had to give up on my Nokia Lumia 635. Any site with the slightest bit of flash would cause IE to stutter, crash and burn. I don't ask much of a phone, but I gotta be able to check prices on Amazon when I'm out looking for deals. I like the WP layout, the app store was generally solid, but the lack of options for web browsers is silly and the lack of flash support is nuts. I guess I'm a Chrome snob, but as soon as I started up my new LG Tribute (Virgin Mobile) it just felt comfortable. I'll keep an eye out for future WP's that come to Virgin Mobile.

Shoot 1up for WP for $1.50.
I bought it last time because I believe it was only $1 then and honestly, it's not a bad game in my opinion. Not sure how popular it is among you guys but, it has a little bit of Galaga feel but with a bunch of ships that can expand into individual units or combine into 1 stronger unit. At first I had no clue what was going on with all the mayhem on a tiny screen, but in time it became fun.

The game is a ripoff for anything more than this sale price though because I think it's only about an hour long if I remember correctly. Maybe 2.

All shoot-em-ups are by nature 30-60 minute experiences. The longevity comes from trying to do better, playing on harder modes, etc.

The WP deal this week is Mirror's Edge.

To anyone excited by this game going on sale I say......so what made you switch to WP this week?

I just purchase a nokia 635. Coming from a iphone ios, can u tell me recommended free apps like gps, custom background ( anyway to change tile to desktop mode?), music player (easy to transfer from pc via usb)

New to windows phone so any feedback would help

Thanks

Another repeat for WP this week in Plants vs Zombies. Maybe one or two of you haven't picked it up...shame on you!

Surprisingly though, a new game for Win8. I don't recall Toy Soldiers going on sale before. Kinda expensive for $5 when you consider how cheap it frequently is on XBL, but the dlc is included. Since this is the "touch edition" I imagine it won't work using a mouse...right?

More free Angry Birds Seasons levels, but this time also a few paid levels. Very rare to see new AB cost money. Probably something to do with licensing to NBA.

Make it Rain got a large update that makes the game more "fun" with mission mode and a bunch of other stuff.

Would have been nice if they would have fixed the achievement sync issues they were having.
