What's really great about both games is that they were essentially beta tested on the PC through early access or slow-drip DLC updates (in HK's case) and now the fine-tuned releases are what will be available to console players.

They have a lot in common on paper but are very, very different. Dead Cells is less detrimental to my sleep schedule, that's for sure.

I'm ordering a Thunderbolt 4k HDMI adapter today and already use an X1 controller with Steam, so the end result will be a virtually identical play experience. I do prefer having things on console, but for the sale price of $9.XX I'm fine with getting to play it 6 months sooner.

Believe those have to do with NTSC vs PAL. The one that's green it's probably 60hz, which is for North America and some others. 50hz is Europe and others.

Looking over games for preorder before the discount ends tomorrow. They aren't even listing RDR2 on disc right now, probably to avoid people getting it discounted. 

For now, Doom Eternal is the only one I care enough to get the day it comes out given how much I loved DOOM 2016.

Anyone have issues with 4K discs not playing in Atmos? Seems like I have it set correctly but cannot get Mad Max Fury Road, John Wick, etc. to play back with Atmos. Games and Netflix streaming work fine.

No, atmos is the default ever since I hooked up the atmos speakers.
 
WIth the All Access talk, one reason I would never do it (besides the fact that I don't pay MSRP for basically anything other than the console) is the extended warranty my credit card provides. It only applies if the item was paid for in full with the credit card. If the console were to die after the manufacturer warranty of 12 months the credit card company wouldn't extend the warranty.

Check and see if Dolby Atmos is on the second audio option?
For some reason I had the same issue with my 4K discs and my receiver playing DTS X as the default with the Dolby Atmos option as the alternative in the audio options.

I preordered Yoshi and Metroid Prime 4 on Switch before they end the discount. Nothing on Xbox preorder I want, I wish Halo Infinite and Gears 5 were up and I'd throw a preorder on them for next year.

I have $38 in credit after redeeming $5 in rewards for the current promo. Strongly debating Nier: Automata, the only thing really holding me back is Dead Cells, Hollow Knight, Owlboy, and 4-5 other games i haven't played yet.

Even though COD is on the decline, it will likely be awhile before you see it for less than $10. I don't even think you can find previous games that cheap unless you go back at least a couple years (and of course used). It is on sale today at a lot of retailers and someone just posted some Target cartwheel deal for less than $20 so I bet you could actually break even if you trade it in after you finish the campaign.

Gold Edition is $29.99 deal of the day at BBY so $24 if you have GCU. Comes with the fist map pack that you might be able to sell fir a few bucks. That’s about as good as I have seen.

The partial answer to this is starting Sept 1 when the x enhancements are official you only have to install the part of the game you want. Like halo 3 campaign or halo 4 multiplayer. So that potentially saves space/data cap room.

Interesting stuff.

I'll likely use the feature to add/remove games to save HDD space. I should just buy an external, but the Blu on my system crapped out and I can't see spending $50 or whatever for one when I could use that to eventually buy a 1TB system with a working Blu.

Also, I won't use it but glad to see they're adding offline LAN support. LAN Halo parties definitely helped sell the original XBox so it's nice to see them pay respect even if it's to a niche audience (especially with needing updates anyway).

And it's cool they're looking to add Reach. If they're gonna make MCC a hub for the games, might as well include them all eventually. Last I knew it was still annoying to buy 360 games through a One from the marketplace. Plus, more chivos.

Check the fineprint tho. Little odd. Unless you have a dell credit account already: For new accounts: Rates range from 19.24% to 29.99% variable APR.

Besides from that, the xbox one x deal isnt that bad except for when you can get gamepass pretty cheap sometimes

all games in the Xbox family are forward and backwards compatible from now on. There will most definitely be an Xbox Scarlett (or whatever it ends up being called) enhancement version at some point, but you'll be able to play it on the S and the X as well. It'll just look and run like total shit on the S in comparison.

You sure about that? I thought all the Xbox One family were forwards and back but once we move to Xbox Two I doubt Halo 7 will still run on the fat Xbox One Launch edition with Kinect. I think back compat will still be a thing though. I'll have to reread some of those quotes from the Xbox team.

I think it begins with the S and goes from there. Launch XB1s might be SOL. I'm probably wrong, though.

 
How is marvel vs capcom infinite? Is it worth the price?

Im not a big fan of the marvel vs capcom normal edition. I wish it was more like injustice. Its too busy. Its just who can click the buttons faster. Plus most of achivements are locked since the servers are down.

The S is pretty much the same as the original, just in a smaller form factor. There is a very minor uptick in the power of the s S so it could handle 4k video without issue.

I'm guessing when we see the new console in 2020 or 21 there will be another hard break as far as newer games not working on Xbox One (S or X), but also I assume every X1 game will work on the next console along with the older 360/original games.

no one is playing, but the servers aren't down, And while infinite isn't very good, if you think marvel is just about clicking buttons then I wouldn't recommend another one
