YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

In 2005 KB had a great clearance, lots of games from $1 to $10. On top of that many games were buy 1 get 1 50% off. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat with Bongos for $10, Star Fox Assault for $10, Mario Party 5 for $10, Zelda Minish Cap for $10 were some of the better games I remember. That was October 2005, then December 2005 they decided they were going to not carry many games and all games went to buy 1 get 1 free so the remaining clearance games got cheaper and then even new release games worked out to 50% off with the buy 1 get 1 free.

 
Had to grab the last Sony Wireless Stereo Headset my store had blue-tagged for 50% off. I already have one pair but for $35 they can either be a replacement or a gift.

 
Got some good games on clearance but just wanted to let ppl know that if you find a game you want, check the price even if it doesn't have any sticker. Found a Golden Sun Dark Dawn for the ds for like $3 and it was marked $19.99

Is that a good price for KI? I thought it was going for around $15 for the longest time. Don't get me wrong it's a great game I just didn't think it was worth much. Especially since Nintendo can't be bothered to even keep the spotpass for the game active :whistle2:?

it was $15 as a deal of the day at best buy last summer since then there been no discount or nothing. And since it a first party nintendo game that another reason there rarely discounts for it

Green tags are currently 40% off but the discount will probably increase every few weeks. For now, I've picked up the $14.99 ($9) and $9.99 ($6) games that I wanted and will keep an eye out for some of the other games until there are deeper discounts...

Keep in mind this will be rolling clearance - they'll continue to increase the discounts over time (eventually to 95%, or so I've heard from my supervisors). I've also heard that they'll increase on a weekly basis - if that's the case, the % off should increase tomorrow (3/25) - I'll try to verify for you guys once I find out who works tomorrow.

 
Green tags all over the place at my store. Me see Ico\SotC collection green tagged (at $19.99, me think.) Me also see Apple/Android game peripherals (RC Helicopter $29.99, Fishing $.6.99, Lazer Tag $11.99, shooting, driving, etc.) green tagged as well. Also Motorstorm: Apocalypse, KoF XIII green tagged at less reasonable prices.

 
Just went to my TRU and no games had any stickers on them whether it was games in the case or the ones on the floor. I wish someone found a list of all games on clearance so i could just grab them. So maybe this is ymmv cuz i saw like accessories with green stickers but not one game had a colored sticker on it

Cool, any idea what the rate of increase will be? Depending on that it may be worth a visit to TRU in a couple of weeks.

 
Mostly just Multiplats is all i saw. Nothing really noteworthy cept Kirby's Epic Yarn for $20.00 with the Green sticker which would make it $12.00 

 
I picked up a ps3 airflo controller for 9.99

They also had about 6 pairs of turtle beach p11 with a blue sticker making them 29.99

 
can someone clarify me about the green tags? if it's marked green or whatever color it is, then is the price already adjusted on the price tag or will it be adjusted once it gets rung up?

I miss the days of tubtub and the clearance list being fully posted. it was so convenient but at the same time it was double-edged cause it also helped out hoarders.

 
I went to my Toys R Us earlier today and there was a "store-wide clearance" sign posted at the entrance.  I noticed some games with the green stickers, mostly Xbox 360 titles.  Assassin's Creed Revelations was marked $19.99 and Goldeneye Reloaded was $39.99 as someone else posted.  There were a few others, but I can't remember what they were (no prices that "jumped out at me"...that's probably why).  :???:

I'm currently looking for a copy of   :ds: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for a friend, if anyone comes across one in their store.  $7 shipped either Amazon or Paypal. Send me a PM if you can help me out.  :cool:

Before the discount. The stickered prices/color designations probably won't change but the % off for each color will over time, so it's better to post the base price+color if we're trying to compile a long term list.

One thing to keep in mind. Just because there are sings that say 95%, it does not guarantee the discount will go that far.

 
My TRU has 3ds brand new for 169, but with 20% off. So a new one for 170-35 idk if the 20$ off all 3ds, 2d and xls applies after that.

They also have an opened/returned psp go for 99.99 but with a 20% off so 20$ off.

and about 5-6 Kid Icarus's if anyone is interested.

Unless they stuff isn't tagged properly. I know some of the games at my local TRU reported to be on clearance by others in this thread don't have any indication they are part of this clearance. I am hoping it stays like that when the discount gets to 70% off or more, I'll hopefully be able to get some of the games that I want that are still left.

Snagged Kid Icarus w/stand for 23.99, Starfox 64 3D for 17.99, and two boxes of the Xbox Starter Kit for 37.50 each (12 month card, 400 points, a chat headset and text pad).

Kid icarus is very much worth the 24 dollars (also not sure if other copies will include the stand, which isnt neccessary, but its free)

I have sunken 100s of hours into it, its a fun 3d shooter/platformer hybrid. The negatives hat reviews knocked it down for were its ackwrd controls but i got used to it(give or take n hourly hand cramp)
 
I am not sure if this is YMMV at my local store or not.  I went there yesterday and saw no games with stickers.  They were just realphabetizing the existing games. 

Is the sale just starting or could my store just be not on board with the discounts for now?

Try grabbing one of the games that have been listed as clearance on here and scan them. Probably just the staff at your local Toys R Us not wanting to label/not knowing video games are included.

I suppose thats possible, tho i cant really see it since i traded in my systen that played it. The L button ceased to work at times, so upgraded to an XL at that time with a trade in. The bottom screen, i dont recall any terrible damage, never really getting rough with it, just abusing the L trigger really.
 
My store had an Xbox live starter kit also for $37.50. My store had the majority of Wii U games 50%off including cod ghosts. Almost bought Mickey power of illusion at $12 but didn't because of my backlog
 
My store had a whole bunch of wired 360 batarang controllers blue tagged at $50 ($25). I decided to pick up a cheap wired MadCatz 360 gamepad for my PC at $10. Also grabbed a blue claptrap figure for $6. Not too bad, but I'm hoping for a greater discount so I could get those LOTR figures
 
I found that even though some things were not marked with the colored tags, they were on clearance anyway.  Best bet is to have them do a price check if it's a game you want and it's not marked.  Some of the things I grabbed last night (green tagged unless otherwise noted):

I was heading out to my local TRU but then turned around. I figure I've got too much to play as is and while a lot of these sound like decent deals, nothing so far amazes me (and the ones that do I already have)

Just driving out there, knowing my local store probably didn't even mark things right, probably doesn't have the best stock of the best deals and knowing I won't get to whatever I even buy for a while made me think, "what am i doing with myself"? lol
