GGT 258 Continues to Celebrate Leda's Birthday with Shots Shots Shots!

Already have dat season pass for Bioshock, only paid 14 for it, cant wait for the story dlcs. Gonna try out some Cloudberry Kingdom and then Martian Manhunter time!! Cant wait for Rise of the Triad tomorrow, preloading
dat now yo.

cloudberry can suck it.

if they had announced cross-buy before the pre-order discount ended, i'd have bought it.

now i probably will get it on steam (if it's there) someday for $1 in a humble bundle.

You're not the only one that feels that way. A ton of people in the PSN thread were pissed because during the preorder thing it didn't say it was cross buy. I'd be prettty pissed too.

I can't decide what I want to get on PSN. I was thinking about grabbing MP3, but I think it'd probably be better for me to wait for another GameFly sale. But if I don't get that, I'll most likely grab the Infinite season pass.

For some reason, I feel the urge to buy Ultimate PJMonsters HD. Even though I own the other 2 and can't really say I like them.

As for cloudberry, I emailed with the guys at Pwnee about it saying I know that myself and people who were interested in the Vita version would pre-order immediately for the $2 off and the PLAY credit if they'd only confirm cross-buy. They said they were discussing it with Ubisoft and Sony... but I guess they never got anywhere... and now they're out at least one sale because of it.

Think I'll grab the Journey/The Unfinished Swan bundle for $14.99 on PSN.  Both games retail for that, and I've wanted to check both out for a while.

I should have contacted WB support long ago.  I told them I never got my green arrow code and they sent it to me the next day.  Didn't have to give them proof or anything!  They were just like "okay, here you go, sorry for the wait."  Good shit, WB.

If I didn't think poorly of both games, I'd say it's a steal.

People rave about Journey, but I just don't get it.

And The Unfinished Swan just looked... mediocre at best. I don't think Joel gave it a very good review, IIRC.

I don't know a whole lot about The Unfinished Swan, but Journey has been recommended to me a few times based on how I like games that are relaxing to play and more about the experience than the gameplay etc. so I figure I should give it a shot.

You should have said something to me! I have an extra PS3 code I would've just sent you!

Yeah, Unfinished Swan was super overrated. It was one of those games that felt like it was trying way too hard to be deep and meaningful the entire time I was playing it. And the puzzles were all a complete cakewalk. I don't really know who that game was supposed to be for, but I must be nowhere near its target audience. Same for Journey and Flower. I didn't like either of those. I feel like I'm missing something with every art game that gets made because to me they mostly seem mediocre.

Being a fan of a current comics sucks. I wish I just found out about all-new xmen 5 years later
Welcome to my world, mang.

so I used my 25% off coupon at GS today on Mario Kart Wii.  $27.xx seems like a solid price for it and the copy I got was complete with case and manual.

Still have 3 uses of that left if anybody wants one just shoot me a PM

Hey nice. Used mine on Mario Party. Yay, rock solid AAA Nintendo prices!

First of all : http://www.gamespot.com/news/smash-bros-petition-calls-for-reggie-fils-aime-to-be-playable-character-6412198

That is hilarious

I'm not sure if I'll get Cloudberry on 360 or Wii U yet, it looks pretty fun though and this whole cross buy thing doesn't really matter to me at least, but it really sucks for people who wanted it on PS3/Vita

Flash gonna be in Arrow and be a spinoff yo!!
I absolutely love the Flash so I'm curious to see what they do, hopefully they make him right and not like how some of the side heroes were in Smallville.

I have zero confidence they'll be able to pull that off well. It's a shame too since the show has been pretty decent so far.
Due to how they are doing the show I could see it going either way, it's otherwise going to be amazing or terrible lol

Defiance only 10 bux on ps3 yo. we should get a clan goin on here.

In other news, Take Two has a new trademark for Bully, Bully 2? i hope

Journey is top shelf gaming, yo. There's nothing to 'get' about it either, it's a pretty straightforward adventure.
If that's top shelf, I'll gladly drink from the well.

It's pretty, but seems boring and short. If it comes to the IGC, I'll play it, but other than that... I can't see spending money on it. I think Rai Rai was in the beta too and from his impressions coupled with watching a bit of the gameplay, I don't feel like I missed anything either.

Flower on the other hand, I liked that a lot. However, I fail to see the need for the Vita port though.

I beat The Unfinished Swan, it was pretty short and I can't say that was a bad thing in this case.  It's just a mellow game where you go around unveiling the world using paint and solving simple puzzles.  I think it was like $3 when I got it during a PSN sale?  You can't really "lose" in it and are just instantly respawned if you fall or something.

Cool. Sounds right up my alley.

Yep. Totes how I feel on it. Didn't think I missed much on Journey and after playing it I still feel like I wasn't missing anything.

Pretty much what I thought.

I have Tales of the Abyss for the PS2 and I still feel like I need to get the 3DS version.

pls me, stahp.

Pikimin Anime? Sure.

I think what you really need is the $100 version of Xillia.

I'm going to pretend I didn't see that you said you haven't seen Pacific Rim, otherwise I'd have to add you to my ignore list.

I didn't play it because it was "indie" -- I didn't play it because I didn't want to spend $15 on something I wasn't interested in. I'm not going to spend money on a game I have no interest in playing.

Hey, so Lords of Shadow is coming to PC at 60fps.

That's pretty cool.
Damnit, I just finished it on PS3 a couple months ago. It kind of felt like an odd game that didn't have it's own identity. From the SOTC battles to the DMC camera angles, it just didn't seem inspired from a gameplay direction. The art direction was good though.

I went through it back when it first launched on 360, I thought it was a pretty fun game actually, had a more "realistic" Castlevania style to it still I felt, while having a more modern God of War like combat system, I'm looking forward to giving the second one a playthrough, not sure if I'll get it at launch or not yet but that's a few months away still. Hopefully it's as long as the first one was, and I know it will have more characters in it due to the trailer and the 3DS game (Wolf Alucard :D), plus, Patrick Stewart!

So I ended up getting Cloudberry Kingdom on 360, it's actually a pretty fun little game, I like the free play mode where you can choose what kind of level to play but Arcade and the Story modes are both pretty fun as well. My controller sticks a little bit to the right sometimes though and normally it's not a big deal but in this game if you do some of the harder levels that like .2 seconds of moving to the right can mean live and death :p. I have other controllers luckily but it just shows that the game can be pretty precision based!

What's the difference between uncanny avengers and avengers? Looks like the same roster.
Creative team and actual team members. Uncanny is Wolverine, Cap, Thor, Havok, Rogue and Wanda, but Avengers main roster has some oddities (awesome ones) on there like Cannonball, Sunspot, Edon, Smasher, Hyperion, Captain Universe along with the usual suspetcts like Cap, Hawkeye, Spider-Man and Woman, etc.

Awesome thank you. I'll go with uncanny first I love wolverine

Wolverine is in Avengers as well. I'd read Avengers over Uncanny because Jonathan Hickman is awesome and Avengers is directly tying into Infinity next month.

played more Dragonborn DLC last night. Tree hours or so just doing side quests. Definitely a lot longer than the vampire dlc was.

I'm annoyed at Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D right now. I'm on 7-7 but I can't advance until I find three switches to open up the next level. They are scattered throughout 7-5,7-6,7-7. I got the one on 7-7. I'm just aggravated I have to play those levels again, I'm getting to the point where I just want the game to end.

Muramasa on Wii is honestly one of my top games this gen, so I think I can recommend the Vita version by extension. Especially if you're in the Vanillaware mood already.

On the fence with Dragon's Crown. If there's a good GGT crowd on PS3 I might grab it, though.
