GGT 258 Continues to Celebrate Leda's Birthday with Shots Shots Shots!

And what makes you say that? If that was the case, then all films would have to pass the 600+ million dollar mark to make a profit. And that just makes little sense. Movie theaters don't get as much as you seem to think they do. They make about 20% of ticket sales, and sometimes even less. Some theaters are on the brink of bankruptcy because of how little they get from studios. Especially on release weekends for big name movies. And projections on The Wolverine were at 65 million and it made 55 million. How is that a flop?

This is the reality of big budget hollywood studios these days. It's very high risk now. You hear it in the entertainment industry all the time now. And really the theaters do take a good cut of the profit. I dunno where you are getting 20%, but even if that is true for certain markets or theaters, 20% of 20 million is still a lot of million...

It's why movies like The Conjuring make the big wigs crazy. They don't know what sells anymore.

For Iron Man 3, theaters were boycotting selling tickets up until the week before because Disney wanted close to 90% of all ticket sales. I can't imagine they settled for anything more than 20%. It's still a lot of money, but you're acting like the movie completely tanked like RIPD did, which is just an absurd claim to be making. I'd like to know how 10 million off of estimations (in America, but it shattered International expectations by about 40 million) considers a film a flop.

If The Avengers: Age of Ultron (or any huge movie in the next few years) has an estimation of 200 million dollars on the opening weekend, but only makes 190 million in America, would you consider it a flop?

Actually they were asking for 60-65% of ticket sales. But whatever.

I guess all the articles I read were all wrong. Whatever. I'm over it.

SMTIV is pretty fun. A bit difficult here and there. For my first time playing any SMT game, I'm enjoying it so far.

Thank You Based GhostShark

Didn't you play P4A, that's kind of a SMT game. I mean, you know.

I want SMT IV and Fire Emblem cuz that deal thing but they're not on sale anywhere
I want them too but I don't own a 3DS so there was a problem.

That is my favorite gif. I've been reading a lot more Invincible. e-readers are still my new favorite thing. They're like magic.
Probably why you've been missing from all of your gaming accounts! You're so into your digital readingness lately! :p

Yeah, I haven't played aaaanything in a couple of days. I've just been sitting around and reading. It kind of makes me feel bad, but then again, I haven't read this much in quite a while. I'm catching up on so much! Halfway through with the first GoT book now.

If it makes you feel any better I was playing Saints Row earlier with my buddy running around as Pee Wee Herman, good stuff! :p I love all the characters people made for that game :D

Haha I don't know if I've seen that She-Hulk! I usually switch who I play as every time I play the game, got a good chunk of Star Wars and Zelda people for sure, some DBZ, Super Hero stuff, just some that are generally weird, I know the first character I created was like a metallic super pirate just because, it makes the game so much more entertaining just running around as some of those characters, I can't wait for the fourth one! :D

Interesting....I liked the world of Rapture but now this will be the third time going there, I'm definitely interesting in giving that a go at some point though since I enjoyed Infinite, not sure if I'll get it at launch or not though.

Enjoy, the series is great. Especially the first 3 books.

I still need to pick up Infinite. Pretty excited about DLC back in Rapture. Loved that setting, and the Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2 was better than the main game, so I'm hoping this is similar quality.

I think that's the only current gen game I'll pick up still, other than downloading anything decent that goes free on PS+, as I really just want to get the backlog emptied out (at least of disc games) by the PS4 launch. And then stick with just getting games one at a time next gen so I can just take my time and really enjoy the games I get and not feel pressure to just get through them and move to the next on the shelf.

I've been doing pretty well getting it whittled down between beating things and selling off things I wasn't digging or realistically wasn't going to get around to. Almost done with my 360 backlog. Just have to finish up the Dragonborn DLC in Skyrim and play the General Raam DLC in Gears 3.

PS3 I have seven disc games to get through. Started up Killzone 2 last night and then have Killzone 3, Resistance 1 & 2 (may get R3 if I really like those I guess), Infamous (have 2 on PS+), Gran Turismo 5 XL, and Tomb Raider.

Have stuff on 3DS too, but that's played on the side and no rush to get through. Animal Crossing still eating up most of my time (only about 20-30 minutes a day most days now though). About half through Zelda-Oracle of Seasons, then have Oracle of Ages and Link's Awakening to get to eventually. Full games, just Star Fox 64 3D and Luigi's Mansion. Will pick up Fire Emblem soon though to get the $30 eshop credit since I bought an SMTIV code. Just waiting a bit longer in hopes it goes on sale somewhere before the deadline.

Very good deal.

I have no interest in SMTIV, so I just bought a code from another CAG for $15.  So worst case I'm looking at $55 for FE and $30 eshop credit, along with the Club Nintendo coins from both games (got 60 from the SMTIV code from registering it for 50 coins and filling out the survey for 10).

Could have came out a little cheaper buying SMTIV and selling it I guess.  But that's more hassle.  Especially since it's an limited box so would have to worry about collector type buyers bitching about a corner getting dinged in shipping etc.

Didn't watch anything for Infinite other than the announcement. Can not watch DLC trailer. Worried that it being two parts will round out the three DLCs promised in the season pass, but it's not like I wouldn't have just bought them anyway. Still want Songbird DLC.

Also, Ice. That may be the best GIF I've ever seen.

Much as I love Persona, I have a strict will-not-dress-as-if-I-have-to-shave rule.Had my beard since 2004. Ain't goin' nowhere. The lady and I have been getting into fabricating though, so once we get better at casting and molding, I'm thinking about building a P4 Take-Mikazuchi costume.

Elizabeth lovers, rejoice.

I think you are definitely ahead of me in terms of backlog but it's nice to know we are on the same mission. Although I just caved and bought God of War Ascension and Ni No Kuni for $20 each with the Best Buy sale. I had $18 in credit which didn't help. I'm still pushing forward though, playing Uncharted 2 now and nearing the end. That will be sold off when I'm done. I'm also finishing up DKCR3D on the handheld side. PS4 one game at a time FTW!. :)

Haha wow, I just post a fan remix for fun and you go and post something like that! I gave it a listen and that's actually pretty good though man! Usually when someone tells me they are in a band it's not the best but that had some good music in it!

Lol, Thank you. Yeah it's been awhile since I've posted anything, not exactly in the trying to "make it" frame of mind any more but still enjoy creating.

Heh, yeah as long as you have fun and enjoy making music then that's what really matters, always nice to be able to have some time to do stuff you really like!

Man I forgot TLoU uses online passes and I doubt this preowned copy will have unused codes. Is the MP worth playing or what?

I'm not sure what to think of this cover art. A part of me likes it, a part of me wishes it was as badass as the other Blazblue covers.

To top that deal Action! posted, there's this

https://www.humblebundle.com

I already have them all on 360 (except Risen 2) and got in on it anyways, I wanted that game + the soundtracks and now I can mess around in the coop with some of my PC buddies in Saints and such :D

Not just the females. In general. And ridiculous is not meant to denote bad. That's the style they went with and it's gonna do what they wanted it to. The rendering and character poses in the book are fucking nuts though. Got me super stoked to get home and start drawing.

I hope that Bioshock DLC is noir as fuck.

That's the cover for the LE though. The regular box art seems to be the same "we're just going to throw people on the front looking in random directions."
