CAGiversary!

120 (100%)
Starts Monday morning, 9/9/13.

PUR Pro (silver card) DOES stack with this deal.

Mostly the same games from the 3/$10 sale, but there are some additions like Naruto Storm Generations.

Sorry about the photo being blurry, photobucket restricts high DPI scans. I had it originally scanned at 3200x3000 or so and it shrunk it down.

Yeah, what is with this? I don't remember them doing this until this year. Maybe they realized the generic cases are an eyesore and don't want them on their shelves.
lol pretty sure they still don't care about how their shelves look, based on my local GS locations.

I'll ask them for a better copy if they switch it on me. It worked out in my favor with Alpha Protocol though...my copy was okayish but the drawer copy was practically brand new.

I had a huge list of games I wanted, but after I did some research I got the 8 I wanted the most out of them.
All complete btw

360-Venetica
Kinect Joy ride
Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce
Chaotic Shadow Warriors
Xblades
Quantum Theory

PS3-Tekken Hybrid
MGS 4
I got 6 other games that I do not have anymore. I won't tell you much more because the anti-******** are lurking. :D

I got a lot in the last sale, so only a couple for me this time.

- Mindjack (I know it got bad reviews, but for $2 and change, I am curious enough to take a chance on it)

- Warhammer 40K: Space Marine (loved the Warhammer game on PS2, so why not - I realize this is probably from a different company/development team though, but still...)

Still looking for The Darkness. The two stores I went to had it, but only in a generic black case...no thank you!

Really don't get all this case lust, especially for these older games. So many people I know use the folio cd cases and stuff to save space anyways. I don't know, I've never had a collector approach to my games though for some reason.

Got Quantum Theory and Wolfenstein.  They had Enslaved but I've already beaten it and just couldn't pick it up again knowing I'll never ever get to it again at the bottom of my backlog.

I HATE folios unless its for CDs. And also by complete I am just happy to get the artwork and manual (thats all I really want since I use their cases to trade back in with literally). I switch out the cases with my own brand new ones I slowly acquire from trading in disc only to gamestop.

I have a special spot for all my games, the cases look so much prettier stacked with the art on the side. Don't care about the manual though, it's a bonus if it has one.

I thought I was the only one who trades everything in with no case.
If its a brand new game I am trading in, I will keep the case and trade disc only. If I have some cases that I got from GS that are shitty I use them and trade games in those. So they can have their cases back. :booty: Hope I dont sound confusing.

Got house of the dead overkill, Enslaved, God of War and MGS4. Might go after starhawk (but online pass), syndicate (if I can't find it),quantum theory, red steel, wii music, and ghost squad... Just need a new DS3 but I can't find one cheap anywhere..

I use Blockbuster cases haha, I have so many from B1G1 Blu-Rays

You guys are the reason other people have trouble finding complete copies.

That being said, I trade in DS games cart only.

I do it because GS gives me shitty cases which I usually give back (if i get a case at all). The only way I can get a decent looking game case is the way I do it. Because GS doesnt give you any.

EDIT: Yea I do give them the artwork and manual in their case though as well.

I do this too, DS & 3DS.

I rarely trade in games without a case, but whenever I'm trading in something I always swap out the crappy GS cases I've acquired & keep the good cases on whatever I'm trading. :)

I grabbed a MW2 on the way home but the guy took the good case I gave him & gave me a crappy one from the drawer. I usually argue with them, but there was a line & I was in the GS on the shady part of town so I decided to let it go and swap it out at my usual store tomorrow. If they don't have a good case I'll probably just get my $4 back, I don't care that much about the game anyway.

Well wasnt able to find the better games on my list but was able to pick up

Madden 11 [ which someone recommended on here instead of 12]

X Blades

Velvet Assassin

Rise of the Argonauts

Bionic Commando

and Anarchy Reigns

Picked up rockband 1 and Lost Planet 1, have a hard time ignoring games that go for pocket change.

Came out to about 26 dollars in total.

Sucks I couldnt find any music games [ lego rockband / Guitar hero WT] or Singularity/Wolfenstein. Owell good sale.

I got in on this as well as the 3 for $10 last week.

All Complete with original cases/cover art and printed manuals (All Ps3)

11 games for $46 total (all from credit on trade ins of junk I never use such as the sharp shooter, blu-ray remote, dead Dsi, etc)

Alpha Protocol 3/10 last week

Dragon Age Orgins 3/10 last week

NBA 2K11 3/10 last week

MSG 4

God of War Collection

COJ Bound in Blood

Bulletstorm

NHL 11

Warhammer Space Marines

Prototype

Mod Nation Racers

I am going to wait until next Fall (2014) before moving to next gen so I am scooping up things I missed this gen on the cheap now.

Only exception - day 1 GTA 5 for me (I was able to get that with a Saints Row FP, UFC 3, Amazing Spiderman trade in + 30%)

After years of meh I am warming back up to Gamestop lately.

I pretty much had everything I wanted from the 3 for $10 earlier, but I did pick up Wolfenstein.  Generic case though...going to have to do some hunting for that one.

Is Lost Planet 1 extremely difficult to play?  I know it (or it's sequel) has really hard achievements, but is it fun?  I have a hard time not trying it for a couple bucks if I can get a decent review on it.

Went today to pay off NHL 14 and preorder Pokemon Y.

Bought Singularity, Dragon Age Origins, Hot Shots Golf World Invitational and Wolfenstein. Not bad for about $20ish.

Hmmm ... may try stopping at a GS this weekend to see if there is anything left.  I have 1 or 2 games I may be interested in, but I'm trying to keep my current-gen titles to only AAA or games I really want to play, and all the good/great games on that list I already have.

After reading this, I kind of understand now why I couldn't find a complete copy of God of War Collection.

am I lucky to find one w/ manual and gow 3 demo code?

You're a bad influence! He's a recovering flipper. ;)
Ugh.. I gave in and broke my flipping sobriety. Won't go into details, but I will say Best Buy has taken a significant hit in my confidence to do business and video game trade ins with... still trying to get my 10% bonus...

I did get the following games for keeps

- Little Deviants - Vita

- Hot Shots Golf - Vita

- Lair - PS3

- Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood - PS3

I went and picked up a bunch of games tonight for the PS3.  The funny thing was that all the cases I grabbed were official PS3 cases with cover art and manuals except for one: Call of Juarez which had cover art but was in a crappy black Gamestop case.  When the guy was finished pulling the discs, I noticed that Call of Juarez was now a complete copy in an official case and Mindjack was now in one of their crappy cases with the Gamestop printed cover with just the title on it.  I asked if I could have the case and manual I gave him and he told me he couldn't because it was the display copy.  I asked wtf happened with the Call of Juarez then and he just stared at the cases like his mind just shut down.

Needless to say he swapped the cases out for me and made some comment about the official cases being much nicer and that it was a good idea to give it to me.

can someone post a pic of their receipt or how the discount works?  would the 10% pur apply on the regular price or discounted price of a game?

Don't know how to post pic, but PUR 10% off is AFTER 50% discount.

Game $5 -> 50% off = $2.50 -> PUR discount $0.25 -> Total $2.24 (direct from my receipt; not sure why it rounded down a penny).

Discounted. Nintendo Land got a $0.75 bonus for me, which is 10% of its sale price.
Ok figured as much but never know as tradeins it's 10% on base.

as far as the penny off, GS's pos POS does some bad accounting like many many companies. In the past, some online orders had the thousandths of a dollar (1/10 of cent) truncated when it should have rounded to nearest cent. I think in the past, some companies rounded to nearest cent when it was $0.xx6 and down cent it was $0.xx5

In any case has to due with how precise the numerical calculations are done and stored (read up on numerical analysis for the math stuff).

in your case if you do the actual math (no rounding):

$4.99 - $2.495 (50% discount) = $2.495

then 10% pur is $0.2495

total is $2.2455
