Steam Sales Elsewhere on CAG - Updated 11/2

Indie Bundle Threads - Updated 8/26

Free Stuff - Needs Updating

There are quite a few free and free2play games and mods on steam. You can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

Past Special Sales
Visit www.steamgamesales.com to check previous sale prices on Steam games. We do keep track of some older sales here though:

Is it any good...?

Also... What the hell is Archeblade?
It's fun if you like arena fighters, yet it's very simple (like most of them are). The closest recent comparison would be Anarchy Reigns or God of War: Ascension multiplayer.

I don't know if the community is still very active though since I haven't played it in a while. When I did play though, there weren't tons of people and higher rank players were seperated from lower ranks which fragmented the user-base making it seem like even less players.

Considering many indie devs use the humble doohickey as their default sale processor, it probably would be nice for them to actually have a storefront.  I would like to see an actual collection of everything they offer instead of what appears to be a curated daily sale, but maybe they'll expand it out.

Always nice to see more competition though.

Humble Store has launched. Sale going on.

Oh good! Another version of the Steam store!

You know, as magnanimous as Valve has been with everyone selling Steam keys (devs, bundles, rival store fronts) I wonder if they will ever finally feel the pinch and do something rash... or are they happy enough with the cut they get and the fact that they serve as a gateway to the Steam client/service?

Call me Shirley, but surely I'd expect that almost all games in the HB store will eventually show up in an HB bundle? Unless I've missed a bundle, I'll find it hard to convince myself to actually buy a game there...
Well Shirley, I'd say you're 100% right. At least half of these games are in my personal predictions for the next numbered Indie Bundle (or maybe the one after that, at most.) And said bundle will probably cost less than any one of these sales so why not wait?

I've been using sites that search for and display all current humble widgets, like this one. An extra benefit of these sites is that it will sometimes find kickstarter-backer versions of games that are otherwise unavailable to the general public.

I like the Humble Storefront though, and I might use that more often, once they have a complete listing.

You mean like this?

EDIT: so close...

You know, I'm usually the last person to call a game bad, but Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is testing my patience. I can get over the sub-par graphics and less than refined gameplay, but that game makes killing zombies quite a chore. Maybe it's another case of "I'm playing it wrong and I should be using more stealth," but I wouldn't survive a minute of the zombie apocalypse if it was like that game. Here's hoping it gets better.
Judging from the reviews, you are still the last person to call the game bad. You are literally the final person in existence to weigh in and air your grievances against that game. It was a very long line.

Mind Link hasn't been posting much recently, so we're about 20 gifs short of a real Steam Thread OT.
He's concentrated his efforts on my Steam screenshots.

Oh, there's no doubt - ME3 endings lacks closure & explanation.

And that is precisely why I think it sucks.

Of course, I played ME3 before Extended Cut, not after. I've had my ME fill for sometime - so I really have no reason to hop back to ME3 to see what Extended Cut did to change the game.

I think a ME3 ALL DLC Pack or BioWare Points dropping ridiculously in a killer sale might make me change my mind on wanting to revisit ME3 soon - but, I think I might have a better chance of winning the PowerBall lottery.
ME3's ending is fine. It's not shittier than any other shitty videogame ending. Or any ending altogether. 90% of narratives don't know how to properly wrap themselves up.

I don't watch or read any game reviews. At most I'll look at Let's plays from obscure YouTubers just to see what gameplay is like.
Mooby also doesn't own a TV. Has he told you about how he doesn't own a TV?

Thankfully I've never been w/a chubby girl either. That's what made this particular instance so shocking...the girl was slim, fit. The nips were just wayyyyy out of proportion.
I have no problem with off-topic talk, but an extended tangent berating oversized nipples and overweight women has to be at least somewhat alienating to anyone of the female persuasion that wander into these parts. It just doesn't seem like a very inclusive topic of conversation and it's extremely offputting.

Yuck. EA Humble Bundle part 2. (EA bought PopCap in 2011.)
Explaining the joke loses most of the punch.

Nominating tebow to create new Steam thread & keep OP updated with new Steam deals.
I second this because I only have so many burger pics to fill the OP with.

Oh, we can still post in this one? I saw bacon scented deodorant in a store over the weekend and thought, "is this for men or women to wear?" I suppose either. And then I thought, "is this supposed to turn me on or make me hungry?" I suppose both???
