I got SO lucky finding Monsters University at Target today, there were 0 of the blu ray combo packs left anywhere but I found ONE mixed in with the 3d combo packs!

I know we all say this every year, but I truly feel like this year there aren't hardly any good deals on ANYTHING. I bought some Blurays, some clothes, and a TV (but it wasn't even technically a BF sale) but I haven't found all that much.

I guess since I have a PS4 now I'm focusing more on it as opposed to noticing all of the PS3/360 sales.

Oh btw, Despicable Me is 3.96 right now on DVD, wish they'd put the BD on freaking sale.

Well the fact of the matter is midnight came and I started watching Bluray.com's tracker for drops that never happened.  After a few minutes there was literally only a handful of changes and most were just the same blus dropping only slightly.  They had more go on sale for Thursday than actual BF, so it was a complete waste of my time staying up.

Anyone have any issues getting BF prices @ Walmart today? Seems that before 5pm the True blood dvd's were $10 ( picked up seasons 2 and 3 as xmas gifts)but after 5pm they went back to regular retail. Family member went to try and get seasons 1,4 and 5 to complete his collection but they scanned at retail.  Ad doesn't mention any cutoff times and the other dvd's and blus advertised came up fine. BTW I got mine at the HBO endcap vs the usual bins when mine scanned at the BF price.  Anyone else go through this?

We went last night. We saw just about everything else we could think of, except Person of Interest S2. Ended up buying the BR/DVD/digital combo pack for $24 from Amazon.

Yeah- something is wrong with it. It was on the list when I looked at it earlier, now I don't see it, but you do. Amazon has definitely tinkered with (or f'd with, depending on your point of view) their BF deals, Lightning Deals, and Deal Calendars this year more than any in my recent memory. Or maybe they're having more problems/glitches. Who knows? I don't.

Nope, won't do anything. Have to be there to add to cart when the deal goes live since it's a specific stock that's part of the Lightning Deal.

Went to store after store and could not find Pacific Rim on Blu Ray. I check Amazon.com and it's out of stock. It's also listed as their #1 best seller. I didn't realize that movie was so popular and it makes me want to see the movie even more.

I did manage to find Ted at Best Buy along with Lego Batman The Movie at Toys R Us. While picking up Lego Batman, I found the 1949 Batman serials for $4 so I got that as well.

Did a final run to check and see if anything was left worth getting. Wound up picking up the following on blu ray. I also ordered Revolution but wound up cancelling it because it was more of an impulse thing. I really hated the first season so I wasn't willing to keep it.

Same thing here. I went in on Friday around 4:30 and the employees said the movie deals were dead since 2pm...I checked the Walmart ad and didn't see anything about an end time for those deals...I was a bit pissed but I guess it saved me about $40.

I paid for some movies after 2PM, so I don't know about the 2PM cutoff. Some Black Friday items had different UPCs stickered over the original UPCs, so it might be different SKUs. Some scanned up the same, like Monster University.

I shouldn't have risked it anyway, should have just stayed up until the sale. I was working in our comm center last night too, which wouldn't have required me to be too alert. I think I saw on the Best Buy Door-buster FAQ a section that said they will be bringing back the popular deals during the month of December, so maybe that one will happen again with them. I might be able to talk a family member into going to a BB and getting them for me then.

I'm thinking anything that wasn't in the actual physical ad was supposed to be online only because I couldn't find Arrow SSN 1 blu, Supernatural SSN 8 blu, or Person of Interest season 2 blu and I was like the 15th person in the movie section on Thursday when the deal started. Also person of interest season 2 DVD didn't ring up on sale.

That bond deal is pretty funny: an entire year goes by and the best they can up the ante is adding an $8 Skyfall to it.  I really need to finish watching mine too.  Got through all the Sean Connery ones and suddenly had no desire to watch the rest lol.

Yeah, I was really hoping for the collection to drop to $79.99 or even $89.99 this year, but just adding Skyfall (which was $8 or less EVERYWHERE this BF) and keeping it the same price as what they offered it for last year as a Lightning Deal the Saturday after Thanksgiving means "no buy" from me. I'll just stick with the Skyfall Blu I got from Bestbuy for $8 for now.
