New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Highly recommend The Mighty Quest if you're looking for a fun little ARPG with a Dungeon-Keeper twist. Half the time you're exploring other castles (usually player-made) for better loot n' money and the other half you're building up your own castle with monsters and traps to kill other players. It's been around for a while, but they just opened the doors to everybody on Steam, so you don't need to buy anything to get in. Real money is mainly used only for cosmetic items and boosts.

Worth the download!
I saw some reviews claiming it was P2W. So that isn't the case?

Anyway since it's free now and not not free Free to Play because "Early Access" I will give it a shot.

I don't think it's been cheaper on Steam but it was $10 on Namco's own site recently. Drabes and I went halfsies on it (you had to buy two to get 75% off).

I'm not familiar with the Anime at all other just just having heard of it in passing but I'm surprised by how much I like it. There's fighting of course but there's a long story campaign with a lot of Anime scenes. There's also some free form wandering at times that plays sort of like an RPG or Adventure game where you run around, talk to people, do quests, find hidden objects etc.

Fighting stuff I usually suck at but it has a practice mode which helped me loads. There's also online multiplayer and what not but I haven't messed with any of that yet.

Anyhow, I was on the fence for getting it even at $10 but I'm glad I got it. I'm not so weeaboo anymore but it was a pleasant surprise for me.
My kids love Dragon Ball on their Wii console (don't know the entire name, but seems a mix between fight and adventure) and based on your description they would like Naruto. Now to wait for a 75%

Correct, it is not P2W.

Totalbiscuit made a video about this last year when they experimented with allowing players to bypass building queues and gold limitations with real money. This change was hated by everyone, the developers listened, and by the next patch, this functionality was completely removed. TB also updated his video to reflect the change (although it still remains for posterity).

I should mention that, while MQFEL does not launch the Uplay client, it does use your Uplay credentials to log in to the game.

I'll be honest and lose my cheap street cred here that I mostly upgrade all at once. I don't normally have the patience or foresight to do it piecemeal on sales.
Nothing at all wrong with that. You have to factor in your time and patience along with money to figure out the best deal for you.

I will say that, though I comparison shop a lot, I do usually end up buying most of my parts from Newegg or Amazon. Good customer service is as important as price, imo.

Hm. Also apparently this is a thing now. That thing that you never asked for but got anyway.
Plants vs Zombies meets Warhammer? Interested!

Is it wrong that I want NZA2 even though I have yet to play my copy of NZA?

I feel the same, so probably. I fear they are too similar. Anyway, it'll hit 75% off again... and by then maybe I'll have played one of my backlogged Snajper Elite games (1, 2, NZA).

PvZ + WH = :spam:

No, I haven't played the first one either, but <$3 in a 4-pack? Not a bad scenario if you like killin' Nazis.

Is it worth buying 1 in addition to 2?  I'm pondering it but backlog and all.  And wasn't the first in a bundle?  Or something similar was in a royale... maybe the non zombie version?

I don't think Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army has been in a bundle, Sniper Elite V2 was in The Spiral Groove Bundle.

List Updated.

So here's the big drop.  PM with the game(s) you want.   Personal use only.  Priority to CAG regulars.  Not on a first come first serve basis, so if you are a regular and send a request a day after a noob, the regular gets it.  Noobs only can request 1 game/key.  No guarantee the key is still good (but it should be).

So apparently Blink bundle unlocked Bumbledore and Sparkle 2 Evo.

That's my punishment for buying Sparkle 2 Evo from Shady Panda when it was a weekly.

Is that where I got it from too, a weekly? I have no idea, I just known I own Sparkly Evos or whatever the hell it is and then never touched it.

Wii wasn't even released until November 2006 (and remember those shortages)...

Besides Nintendo is shutting down multiplayer support for Wii and NDS on May 20 2014. Affected Games.including Mario Cart, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, Animal Crossing
I don't know how your multiplayer works. Mine works by plugging in another controller into the wii.

I had my Wii in November of 2006. I waited about 2 hours outside of a Gamestop and we got the last two in the store.

I have Resident Evil 4 PC....you know, the OLD Not-HD edition from Retail. ;)
I'm sorry to hear that.

I was reading about how the PC and console HD versions are missing effects present in the Gamecube and Wii versions, due to the game being programmed to call for specific Gamecube functions that don't exist outside of that hardware, so no other ports of the game will have all of the effects.

I really loved RE4 PC (Retail version), despite its pathetic KB/mouse scheme.

I was happy w/ how it played w/ a PC controller/gamepad, though.

Great game, BTW.

That's nothing man, I waited outside overnight in winter in Canada, I was frozen.
Oh, I wasn't complaining. I was bragging :) It was me, my two brothers, and my younger sister. We split up into pairs and pretended we didn't know each other because we needed to get a second one for my one of my older sisters because she wanted one for my brother in law for Christmas. There were like 20 people in the line behind us so we lucked out. And yes, I have a big family.
