I actually had ps4 time to play Destiny last night... but ended up playing Crimsonland instead.   I  originally was like, 'i'll just clear one quest mission'... 4 hours later, time for bed.

And this is coming from someone who loved the alpha.   Maybe tonight i'll finally try the beta.

Playing both the alpha and the beta would just burn me out on it. Granted they're just the beginning, but that's always the worst part of a game with leveling and abilities. Forcing yourself to play through the worst part of the game multiple times just sounds like a bad idea to me. But different gamers, different interests, I suppose.

So how do the GoW Origins HD games compare to the HD version of I and II? Wondering if they put more effort into the textures on Origins since they were so much lower-quality to begin with compared to the PS2 games.

 
So I'm at a horse racing track right now and they are selling a BBQ sundae:

Baked beans topped with coleslaw topped with pulled pork topped with a cherry tomato and then slathered in BBQ sauce.

I'm both afraid and in awe.

I've played them both and they look fine. They're not gonna blow you away of course, but they are still decent looking games.
 
So I haven't played Bioshock 1 (got to first Big Daddy and stopped) or 2, but I've finished Infinite (good game, not amazing). However, I would definitely purchase an HD Collection/HD Remaster for PS4 of 1 and 2.

And this Destiny download takes quite a long time.

Picked the Warlock, because I like the range it has and its abilities. Reached the level 8 cap, armor is basically all uncommon. My defense is 157, got me the Sahara AR3, which does a nice 62 damage. Haha I went with warlock as well. Love the supercharge. I just have a thing for mage-like classes so I'll be rolling with that when it releases.

I haven't gone back to the story mode since I last posted. Don't want get burned out since it appears progress won't carry over (someone correct me if I'm wrong). When you were doing missions did it separate you from your party at certain points? The HUD will say something like 'no respawning' and a black portal appears behind you. Wasn't sure if this was because i wasn't in a party or it just happens to everyone.

But yeah, agreed. I'm sold and I've never been a fan of Halo. Day 1. It just feels good and that's what matters most to me. At this point my only three minor gripes are the balancing in PvP ("dat" shotgun), lack of loot and the story, which doesn't seem like it's going to be that interesting. But I guess with MMO-types the last thing isn't a big deal.
 
That was a good boosting session with everybody. Congrats Cro on level 50. I need 4 more levels til I get fast hack. Simmias you rocked the vending machine hack. Matt what happened to your mic? I'm learning the levels better now but not guaranteeing that I won't ask where's the turret at? I'm going try to make tomorrows session.

Matt and I had a couple good vending hacks going. One we started about 4 minutes into the game and got ~1100. The second time we had good momentum and Ms. Velo came and killed both of us then hacked our machine.

Don't know man. I've only had issues with this game in particular so far, it works fine with everything else I've played. Had fun anyways though, definitely more comfortable with it this week than last.

Yeah we did. Haha, I couldn't even get mad at Ms. Velo, I was laughing like a mofo knowing it was her and not Velo. Also had a great laugh at Cro running off the random guy.

More words rpg. What are you asking? All we did was locate a turret and 2 people alternate back and forth hacking it for xp. Or the vending machines, you just have to keep them frozen while you do it.

yeah sorry bout some of those boosting rounds. I was taking care of a baby and kids wanted to go play outside so i was kinda watching them and then had ms velo help out but I knew it was clusterfucky at times. thanks for dealing with me and tehcro good job.

What you describe sounds disastrous and I feel for whatever toilet awaits you. Then again, cole slaw has never agreed with me (ewww). You people have terrible taste - can this be one of the thread subtitles at some point?

I was under the impression the last minute was considered a purging event and everything was fair game.

Half the time I was matched up the TehCro he wouldn't even let me hack the turret he would just brutally kill me.

And damn my short term memory, every single f**king time I killed him I would go to research his body, and like a fool, everytime I would blow up and die by some sort of suicide explosion perk he has on. I just can't learn..

n yeah, i kept trying to get the 'hands tied' challenge of killing someone with plasmids only while holding the lil sister, and time after time, you asshats killed me with no regret or honor ;) you guys are the best.

n yeah the hack they are gonna go for tomorrow or whenever level 24s, is the freeze/vending machine hack boost. lil bit different.

That's why you need a mic, bro. I thought you were just killing us for the hell of it. I wouldn't have put up a fight if I knew you were going for a trial.

RPG, you definitely don't need a video. Basically, find a turret/vending machine and swap hacks with someone. Vending machine is definitely the way to go. Freeze, hack, other person hacks, freeze, repeat.

This is the one thing that has held me back on the game. I don't understand why it has so many bugs, but I have heard this problem is common. I am assuming they are using the same engine from the first one, so I wonder what the cause is for this one. It looks like they may not patch it if they haven't by now.

No problems with partying up. I initially had problems with PSN and being connected to the servers, but resolved itself. I've repeated some story missions, just to try get some guns to better myself at the Crucible. I mostly plan on playing it online and testing guns to find my playstyle. Some guns that tear up the enemies in story don't carry that effect on the Crucible.

Yes, much more. I was lucky to get over 1000 per match hacking turrets, where I was getting 12-1300 with vending machine...and never even got in a spot where I could do the vending hack for a whole match. (not that you can't, i just wasn't familiar with their location, no mic, etc.)

apparently there's a free $5 coupon at gamestop for playing some lousy game of theirs and it works on psn cards. probably worth venturing to the deal forums for more info.
