. We just spent another two hours on that bastard and twice we got him to a tiny sliver of health and then enrage hit. The second time the sliver was so small you could barely see it.
That was damn frustrating. We're picking it up again at midnight. Sigh...
The hardest part is dealing with the Ogres from on top. They hide down in the lower chamber and it takes a while to get them as you have Crota and the boomers shooting at you as you try to hit them. We are spending too much time on that and it is costing us an opportunity on Crota. Throw in all the other random mishaps and things like lag that cost us 3-4 runs and it is just try after try after try. We could usually get him to less than half but then something always happens.
Also, I thought my Crota Raid helm had regenenate health from orbs but I was wrong. It has the incredibly lame perk of regenerating melee when picking up an orb. WTF!? But then I realized I had Apotheosis Veil which regenerates health on super (AND renegerates health on orb pickup - though that rarely comes in to play as my super is usually full). I just never used it before because I always saved my super for self-res. But on Crota that is less important so I just burn it whenever I get my health down to half or so. Then I can also generate orbs for the others.
OK, so apparently the enrage happens automatically when you get him down below 10% no matter what the timing is. Great, so they punish you for being good!

Note that they took forever as well to get rid of the Ogres but maybe that isn't the key. This guy was using invis and getting 4 hits in as well. We were only getting 2 or 3. And notice how many times this guy nearly dies from boomers and such. Our swordbearer just kept getting taken out by that, or exploding thralls, or shooting his rocket into something, or the wizard, or whatever. There are so many things that can go wrong. Otherwise, though, we were pretty much doing the same thing.
So on enrage the guy drops the sword and then apparently it takes less hits on Crota to down him. But this guy looks to be incredibly lucky as Crota just didn't attack him when he dropped the sword. Our guy was getting killed up there by Crota a lot too.
