The nerfs to Gally and BH do annoy me... just because it's Bungie telling me I'm playing their game wrong.
Their excuse to blame dumb

'ers blacklisting people who don't have Gally is absurd, especially when you consider that they won't introduce matchmaking for raids & NF (if there was MM'g, then there wouldn't so many LFG sites and you wouldn't see so many idiots saying "must have Gally").
The real motive for the nerf goes back to the same reason why they wouldn't let Xur sell it since the early days of the game...
Gjallarhorn makes things easier. If it's easier, then you're not spending as much time on the activity. If you're not spending as much time in the activity then Bungie can't boast about the amount of time players spend in the game.
Black Hammer became another one of those "Easy Button" weapons. In reality, BH was a mistake in that it should have been an exotic, not a legendary weapon. (BH+Gally combo in PvE is devastating)
In the end this is Bungie saying we don't like to see our activities beaten sooo quickly... and we hate it when you one-man this stuff.
I will say, the likelihood that Xur sells Gjallarhorn, AFTER the patch, goes up big time (.001->1%)
I can live without Gally; did for most of the game. Only really started to abuse it once they let us carry all the Heavy synth in 100 block stacks. Prior to that, I'd only equip it for specific boss fights. Same goes for BH since I only had one and was usually lazy about moving it around.
This is like the Skolas fix. They said it was unfair so they reduced his health and removed burns. But the reality of it all was that they guaranteed a drawn out fight (no more 2 minute kills) and still left in more than a few cheap-shots from Skolas and the minions.
IDK, this Bungie-logic is getting old.
