Advice needed.

I want to give Dragon Age: Origins another try. I've never been happy with the way the character models looked, they always seemed a little basic. Are there any mods out there that "update" them?

Also, any essentials that I need? I don't want a list of the 50 mods you played with. Just the core ones you couldn't play without.

in "that's fucking tragic news", Don't hike through a desert in the middle of summer as a tourist attraction, then proceed to die and leave your son all alone in the world.

To add to Neuro5i5's list, I also had

Morrigan Restoration Patch (restores some cut dialogue)

Bidelles Cosmetics

White Teeth

I can't speak for redundancies or compatibility between all of the mods he listed and my bottom two, though.

Also I'd never play again without Skip the Fade although some people would recommend playing through it at least once.  Personally, I don't think it's even worth that and the Skip the Fade patch still gives you the scant bit of intercharacter dialogue.

Not sure if it was posted but

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/blog/19842943/season-3-ending-soon-07-08-2015

Diablo 3

Season 4 will be starting shortly after at the following dates and times for each region:
North America: Friday, August 28 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
Europe: Friday, August 28 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
Asia: Friday, August 28 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

So I'd imagine 2.30 will be released around the 25

Anyone interested in leveling  a seasonal the weekend on the 28th lets do it to it

I'm all about some Skip the Fade. Would be nice if there was a TL;DR Deep Roads mod too though I get that it is more extensive in terms of multiple, if repetitive, locations and much more dialog.

I really hope someone makes a Skip the Orlesian Ball mod for Inquisition too someday. I did a second play through and just could not bring myself to do all that timed nonsense all over again so quit when I got to that part.

I was talking to someone once who was ranting about the Deep Roads.  Turns out that he had no idea that you could actually just LEAVE the Deep Roads when you wanted to resupply.  He had actually done them all in one long slog running low on potions and overstuffed on loot along the way.

100% agreed about the Inquisition Senior Prom.

I still think the Fade is better than most of the rest of the game areas.

I don't mind the fade at all but I definitely don't think it's one of the better areas in the game. I think the first time you play through it it's pretty interesting but after that it's a bit of a long slog although it doesn't necessarily bug me.

I can't say that I really minded the fade, but I only played through once (including the DLC). I was going to immediately restart and try another origin, but I looked at my Steam play time (124 hours), thought, "goddamn that was one long game," and then promptly uninstalled it. YouTube helped me fill in the blanks.

THE BROS HAVE SPOKEN!!!!  :grouphug:

TUESDAY AT 10:00 PM ET THE BROS WILL GATHER TO RAVAGE THE SAVAGE LANDS!!!!   :twoguns:

Be there or be Spoder (because Spoder doesn't own it like a nerd).

Hey, Spoder was here during the summer sale pack offers. This is the way he wanted it.
Summer sale pack offers wat? Anyway, if it isn't obvious, Fox is joking. He even told me I could choose a game he didn't own for the thursday event but I declined since he missed the past 2 cuz he was sick and didn't want him to miss another one.

Tempted to family share with someone to try Savage Lands but it's kind of a PITA to do that

What the hell?!? I can actually read this without my head hurting.

What have you done to the real Spooderman you imposter!?!?

All this Early Access surival game talk. Is this a Youtube let's play channel?

We should start an Early Access surival game betting game, to bet which of these types of games gets finished first.

We should all play Beasts of Prey so we can all share in the crippling disappointment.
Funny how the developers of that game were talking smack about the Reign of Kings developers, in the comment section of a Woth a Buy video about Reign of Kings.

We should all play Life is Feudal, the official CAG Early Access survival game.

Don't know how I missed the Humble MP with Primal Carnage... now I'm thinking about grabbing it. I know about Extinction and all that... but reviews says it's a worse game and are going back to the original. Maybe I should wait for a bundle again ;)

I've been playing Savage Lands. The game is great so far... but it needs more content. You will also get lost easily, even with a compass (I'm not an expert).

Some tips:

You need an axe to chop down trees and make logs... and a hammer to smash rocks and get stone, coal, flint and other kind of minerals.

When you find the town with the forge... make a pike of resurrection

When the night arrives you will see the Plague Wolf (yellow glowing Eyes). It is a much powerful version of the wolf and can inflict disease and bleeding. I ran and hide inside one of the houses and he couldn't find me there... it was a long long night. You'll need to run towards the fireplace to get some warm... but be very careful, the wolf will return and you'll need to hide again

Hiding from wolves like a little girl? Sorry, but I'm way too manly to hide from anything. That doesn't sound that fun. :speaktothehand:

Apart from in stealth games, where I hide like a real man.

MysterD is everywhere included into Nintendo's breakfast.

Toaster.Net is everywhere. We get around. :)

Plus, who doesn't like breakfast? :)

Hmmm - you know, I could go for some waffles, french toast, eggs, and some bacon.

Logitech F310 PC wired gamepad = $7.99 @ Best Buy.

More details on Logitech's support site about it.

Looks like a cross b/t PS3 + X360 gamepad - looks mostly like a 360 pad for the layout (looks the same, other than one thing), but the left D-pad + left analog are flipped (like a PS3).

And supports both DirectXInput (old PC gamepad support) + XInput (which X360 gamepad supports).

I really love that it supports both input formats.

Anyone got this pad?

Says $24.99 for me.

I just picked 2 of these up in store for $8 each at my local BB store.

I flew over at 10am, as soon as my BB opened.

In and out fast.

Interesting - this is showing up as $25 on web-site now, like you said.

I think I used an F710 for a long time. The Logitech gamepad is serviceable but nothing beats an official Xbox device for ease of use with a PC. Recognition on PCs for third-party gamepads seems spotty at best; the Logitech profile software is a bit of a pain to use, so games tend to fall into one of two categories: ones that instantly recognize the device as Xbox-like (Sleeping Dogs recognized it right off the bat, but the onscreen prompts were weird because my older pad did not have face buttons labelled X,Y,A,B--the buttons were labelled 1,2,3,4) or the ones that are so automatically misconfigured out of the box that you're better off using a mouse and keyboard (the new Tomb Raider game comes to mind--it was basically unplayable with my Logitech pad).

I already have a few USB X360 gamepads. Always dug 'em - but, the D-Pad isn't super-great on these.

Haven't got a new X1 pad, so can't speak on this.

I think the real big deal for this for me is it supports DirectInput out-the-box. This'll be mostly my go-to pad for older games that didn't always get along w/ XInput correctly, but were better off w/ DirectInput. D-Pad feels much nicer here over the X360 gamepad, as well. And this really seems to work very well for the old GTA Trilogy from what I tried so far (with GTA3 + Vice City + San Andreas).

I used to have an all Blue PC so I bought the LE Tron Controller so I could use it... it still works but now my gaming rigs are both Red with a little black so the Tron sticks out like a sore thumb.  It also doesn't help that because it's a special edition it always takes some jury rigging to get it to work.  That being said... I used a logitech one like that for years and it's just not the same.

I'm on the fence when the pro comes out because it looks good.. but not full price good.
