Some links to the bundles, as well as the standalone game, are below. Note that the Band-in-a-Box bundle has an MSRP of $249.99, whereas the Guitar Bundle has one of $129.99. The X1 standalone comes with a legacy adapter for your 360 guitars and drumsets, but costs $79.99; the PS4 can use PS3 instruments out of the gate and is only $59.99. You can also buy a legacy adapter separately, with the MSRP for that being $24.99.

* If you buy GCU online, you'll have to take it to a local store to activate it. However, you'll still get 20% off of the bundle during checkout.  If you're buying at least the guitar bundle, you're basically getting GCU for free ($30).

The Triple Cymbal Expansion Kit is also available for preorder on Mad Catz's website for $49.99, with a release date of "Holiday 2015" (big thanks to BonedChaos for the information).

Most of the past DLC from the previous games will be compatible with this one (and is the main reason I bought an X1), but at least 150 songs will not be compatible. Furthermore, a list of exactly which legacy instruments are compatible with Rock Band 4 can be found here.

From all of the news I've been hearing, I think I'm going to hold off on downloading my old DLC and stick to the songs that are on the RB4 disc. By the time I'm done with that, they'll hopefully have worked out the kinks in the system and I won't have to jump through a ton of hoops and cross my fingers to get to my old collection.

Just gotta wait on UPS to deliver my bundle today. With how they've been lately, though, I probably won't get it until 7PM tonight. Hopefully there won't be any problems with the quality of the guitar controllers this time around - I remember having to return a RB2 Strat because it wouldn't work properly, and the guy at the store told me it wasn't too uncommon to see that happen. With the supposedly limited amounts of sets available in the wild, that'd be a nightmare.

Well I tried to download/add everything I owned before. Talk about mind numbing. There's of course a few that don't show as being owned by me like others have said 2112, several Ozzy songs, Roadrunner Pack 1 and some more. I think I've loaded all I can for now.

Something weird I encountered was "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield won't show up in the Xbox One store but shows up in the game's music store and I can load it from there. BUT "I've Done Everything for You" also by Rick Springfield shows up in both stores and I did install it from the Xbox One store but it refuses to show up in the game and when I go to the game's store it says I already own it to check my games and apps and the Xbox One store has Install grayed out but it does not appear in my games and apps for me to even delete it therefore I can't attempt to reinstall it. There's probably more weird things like this and I guess I would need to go to the game's store and try each song one by one again but I'm tired of playing Rock Band Menu The Game.

Spent two hours last night trying to remember every DLC song I owned and install it.

Half of my stuff was showing up as $1.99 until I clicked on it.

Anyone know when we can import RB1, RB2, RB AC/DC, etc licenses?

Out now. What a deal

I think I'm just going to wait till the issues are dealt with concerning DLC. I was able to grab about 250 of the ones I own, I'll just play them for awhile before trying to go through Rock Band 3 checking everything.

I think the problem with 2112 on Xone is that the Xone marketplace is only showing the three parts, and no bundle of them like there is on 360. So if you bought all of it (AS YOU SHOULD) it might not know to translate that into the three separate songs. Maybe?

Just got the band in the box bundle 25% off with a pre-order card.
Whoa! I am going to see if I can find the X1 version with the adapter. The last thing I need is a new set of instruments. I assume this version of RB doesn't have any keyboard support, since I didn't see anything on the videos.

Any feedback on the new guitars? I need a new guitar but if the pack-in RB4 guitars are junk I'll look elsedwhere if I end up buying the game.

Yeah, keyboard was dropped, unfortunately. I'm not sure if you can still use it to play guitar parts for some pre-RB3 songs that are really just piano/keyboard mapped to guitar for some reason (Bulletproof, as one example). I would think that would work, since it's essentially just a weirdly-shaped normal controller, same as guitars or drums.

I would really like an RB3 export option. I think Harmonix said they're looking into it, and it would sure be nice, since otherwise Space Oddity is just rotting there with no way out.

All I want is the legacy adapter and game bundle, but no where seems to have it yet.  I wish I could have got in on the $10 deal at Amazon and just got the game digitally.  This is frustrating as I'm almost tempted to get the guitar bundle, but then would need to get a legacy adapter anyways.  I'm jealous of PS4 users.

All these issues and confusion has me debating getting my copy after work today.  I don't want the game if i can't get the 10 gigs of doc I've already paid for.

Also very upset that there is no online mode.  I assumed it was gonna be there like it was before....,  my family is a state over and it was going to be a weekly thing but I guess not.......

In stock at Mad Catz store.

Unfortunately I have to get my 20% off at Best Buy...darn gamers club.
I'm right there with you. I'm really considering buying the band in the box at BB (now in stock for X1). Would be $200 after gcu. But already have guitars and drum from Beetles bundle. :) Who knows when adapter from Amazon will arrive.

I'm really sad that I missed out on the Amazon $10 adapter deal. I tried talking to support but they wouldn't help me out. I can't believe I missed that. I'm just about ready to go to BB and buy the band in the box, but then I keep telling myself I would need to buy ANOTHER guitar or the adapter anyways...I've already got the Beatles bundle as well and everything works great...this is one of the very few XB1 games that I've wanted to get at release, but it looks like it's not happening.

I just ordered the adapter Sunday night, so can't complain too much about the wait. I only decided to with RB4 the other day. Just couldn't pass up being to use old equipment, mainly the drums.

My band bundle is waiting for me at home on my doorstep. My legacy adapter is arriving tomorrow. I should be watching the clock anxiously waiting to get done with work, but all the problems and features missing that I'm reading about, I'm really bummed. I might just end up returning the damn thing, which is something I never thought I'd say about a Rock Band game. There's absolutely no point in owning Rock Band 2.5 when Rock Band 3 has already been out for years. Apparently instead of "upgrading" my Rock Band experience to next gen and getting rid of all my last gen crap, I'll now need to keep my RB3 equipment along with my RB4 equipment. RB3 when I actually want the full experience, RB4 when I want to feel shiny and next gen. Instead of reducing clutter, I'm now adding to it.

And the fact that they're not even planning on making RBN songs compatible scares me. Over half of my most-played songs on RB3 were RBN songs.

I mean with all the features missing, there has to be SOMETHING new to this game that compensates, right? Besides the 60fps (which is totally obviously required for a MUSIC game)? Right? Right? Please?

Tried to pick up my game and adapter (XBone) from Best Buy and they informed me the release date changed to 10/8.  I started to argue that hasn't happened, but either way, no game for me today.  Sucks that I took off work today to do some rockin'!

I ordered from Amazon a couple days ago, they didn't give me any notification of delay except my order hadn't shipped so I contacted them and they told me they didn't know when it would be back in stock and that my order had been delayed and then offered me one day shipping to make up for the delay.

I know this has been asked, but will the Guitar Hero Live guitar work with this?

I've been considering picking it up for an extra guitar and if I don't like the game trade it in.

pretty sure no, they are doing something completely different.

I know for a fact old instruments won't work on guitar hero and almost positive the new guitar hero live guitars will only work with guitar hero live and their future games (if they make anymore lol)

So it's harder to stumble across deals like the $1.99 Chevelle pack, but if you use Sony's web store, you can sort by price and find a handful of stuff that still has sale prices left over from the big sale a while back.  I think someone pointed that out earlier.  None of the 99 cent tracks are still that price, but some of the packs are still discounted.

I grabbed an Alice in Chains pack at $4.49, and a Blink 182 and Nirvana pack for $2.99 each.  Ought to hold me over until they figure out the export stuff.

If you look at the website they changed the date to 10/8. Not really an issue anyway since not one single store got the game/adapter bundle from MadCatz on time.

ha wow and thats prob why the adapters aren't coming in today for some. Mad Catz can't keep up!! I guess that's a good sign but you would think they would be able to plan/take care of pre orders

I would bet this issue is on MS for making this adapter necessary in the first place and then not approving it to be manufactured until the last minute. My stand alone adapter was at the door when I came home today which makes the delay even weirder.

Hmmm now I wish I wouldn't have sold all my legacy guitars...all my legacy equipment did pay for my band bundle though...

Maybe I can find one cheap at goodwill or a pawn shop...

I caved and just got the guitar and game bundle so I'll at least be able to play.

Is Amazon and Mad Catz the only place to get the Legacy Adapter?

Does anyone know if Bestbuy did or did not have the 30 bonus songs with preorder on the BIAB bundle?

I picked mine up today and didnt get he usual email or anything on my receipt.  I tried searching but everything is complaining they didnt have it about 3 months ago but thought I had saw they added it.

pretty sure I don't see why not if the guitar bundle did. Sometimes I get the bonus down the block and other times takes a few hours so maybe just wait awhile.

I'll be patient. I've just always got them instantly usually before they print my receipt.

For right now. I also got the guitar bundle from Best Buy, while I wait for Amazon to ship adapter. Going to see if any of the game/adapter bundles are available at Best Buy on Thursday. I'll just sell one of the games of it is.

I don't think I've seen much discussion about the game itself yet - have any of you played it enough to have an opinion on it yet? I'm still waiting for UPS to deliver it. They often don't get here until 7-8PM nowadays, which makes me think I should've just preordered it at Best Buy for in-store pickup.

Can you cancel MadCatz store orders?  The cymbal expansion kit is something I'd like to preorder but if BB or GS carries it down the line, I'd rather pick it up there.  Sorry if this has been answered already/

I personally don't know, but I'd definitely try contacting them instead of waiting for an answer that someone here might not know (edit: you can - I found this after a quick Googling)

Also, looks like Amazon's sending out emails with the preorder DLC now - I received mine a few minutes ago and others are saying the same thing.

I don't think I would've jumped in right away if I didn't get the Amazon deal on the adapter, it doesn't get here till tomorrow but I can always sing until then

My amazon pre-order adapter says it's shipping from the warehouse Monday, Oct. 12. UUGGGHHHH!

I got in on it the first hour it popped up.

Is there much of a difference between the Rock Band 2 Drums, and Rock Band 4 Drums? I got some RB2 drums for $20 at a yard sale recently, so perhaps I would be better off keeping it...

Just picked up my PS4 Band Bundle that I pre-ordered at Best Buy.   GCU and my 10%off email code stacked, my total was $179.99+tax.

Sweet!!  I was thinking 10% would come off the gcu price.  But it appears 10% was taken off $250, and then gcu was applied to $225 (225-45=180)

Edit:  I'm an idiot, the math works the same no matter which discount is applied first

I haven't played them (RB4) but I don't imagine it being much different. It just has the new wireless tech in it and prob won't be usable on 360 which could be a huge downside for some. My cousin got it and will def be able to tell the small differences if there are any.

I'd just stick with the rb2 drums and get the adapter, thats exactly what I am doing actually lol
