I feel very strongly about annualized games and call them mediocre as they're just cosmetic changes/no risks involved. I feel very badly burned by AC because after Brotherhood, they took a dive where nothing was good (except Black Flag and fuck the mp mode).
The potential for the history stuff and gameplay from AC1 wasn't truly realized. Both franchises have made me regret buying recent entries (Unity was worse than 3 by a mile) and Ghosts was horrible. I look forward to Blops 3 due to zombies and yes, it makes me a sucker. I think Ubi presents insane tech demos and the games just can't be that (ACs crowd potential, Watch Dogs hacking, The Division).
Seriously, are you and jkam brothers or something? Both of you seem to love shitting on these big companies. Why is it so hard to understand that while these games release frequently they still do a lot of things well and satisfy many gamers?

Well, I'm the guy willing to suffer through Fallout 4 on release date, bugs be damned. Take that how you will.

Yo Bums,

Where would you rank Weens 'The Pod' on your list of their albums? There'll be a vinyl reissue of it for the Black Friday Record store day that'd be cool to get a hold of. I really have only listened to 'quebec' but definitely want to get into more of their stuff.

Hey Crazy,

Well I love ALL Ween albums because they got me through the good times and the bad times. The Pod is was made with lots of drugs, it's fuzzy and full of good noise. The album grows on you the more you listen but there are lots of gems on the album.

Here's the album in full:

The acquisition percentages for a lot of the trophies don't make sense, though, because most of them aren't very hard to obtain.
People just start playing it for a minute then stop. There's a lot more Wren's out there in the gaming world than there are Vig's.

BUT THERE'S A GRAPPLING HOOK IN AC SYNDICATE YOU CAN SWING ALL OVER THE WORLD ZOMG HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't really shitting on anything. Just talking about how Assassin's Creed is almost my jam but misses the mark (for me) a bit. I know they do a lot of things well and satisfy a large majority. I think most would agree though Assassin's could use even just 1 year off. I might even play Syndicate at some point but I'd like to hear what people in this thread have to say about it and how the combat is.

I dunno if Australia's PSPlus lineup typically mirrors ours, but I read speculation (take that for what it's worth, prob not much) they will be getting Battlefield Hardline and Evil Within. Would be interested in Evil Within for sure. Might make sense with being around Halloween.

Sounds pretty delusional, and we wouldn't even get the games til after halloween. Where is the rumor from?

My read on it is they are just speculating as I mentioned. Not that they have some hot tip.

Yeah articles like that have been around for many months. They're absolute poison. They're based on nothing at all. They're not even worst the infinitesimal amount of bandwidth required to exist. This line pretty much says it all:

"The other predictions might include “Shovel Knight and Professional Lumberjack 2016” for PS4 and “Monster High: New Ghoul in School” for PS3."

So far at least AC Syndicate feels like typical Assassins Creed but I only just got to London so I expect it to open up much more.  Not a huge fan of the twin player concept though but thats cause I've yet to see it work well in any of this type of game I've played.

Is it possible to craft a more nebulous statement without the words 'predictions might'?

That said, I'm sure we're getting evil within on PS+ because the fabled goty never came out.

So mostly tossing darts at a dart board.

Well hopefully Evil Within will make its way to the line up eventually.

I wonder if it might be too mature/gruesome of a title to hit the line up though.

I took a year off from Assassin's Creed so they don't have to.

I still have an unopened copy of the last one, Unity or whatever.

Im waiting for fallout 4 and then possibly battlefront still, not sure on it any more though.

Going to a college bar for $1 beer night and getting home at 430 am was probably not the smartest of moves.

Meh, couldnt preorder AC last night for anything other than standard shipping, so I passed. Guess I can wait until it is $24 or whatever next month.

Started Blood Bowl 2 finally. So far it's pretty fun, but my first real match in the campaign took a lot longer than 45 minutes. Afterward I saw you can turn off the cutscenes. That should help. Also I got a silver trophy in the short tutorial match. GOTY!

Yeah after the hype died down I think I am going to wait / skip Battlefront. Don't want to pay $100 for a game that is online only.

Last game I spent $90+ (Destiny) I got burnt out on. Will get back to it for sure but learned my lesson and will try to stay away from games you really need the overpriced Season pass to enjoy (and then more content comes out after that isn't part of the season pass). I didn't even bother with the Demo.

I think the only games I felt I got my monies worth out of with Season passes is Borderands 2 and Gears of War Judgement. Judgement I got on release for $40 so spending money on the Season pass (I think it was only $20) wasn't too bad.

Really having a tough time wrapping my head around $48 plus tax for the base game and $50 for the season pass for a MP only game.

Much as I harp on FPSs, I think I'm kind of tempted by Doom. I'm assuming that it doesn't have all this leveling up stuff that is in modern FPSs, and instead everyone is on a level playing field and you race to pick up good weapons that are just on the battlefield. Old school. I liked FPSs back then.

Not according to Stotch.

Bunch of new Seraph of the End screenshots:

http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/10/22/ps-vita-exclusive-seraph-of-the-end-gets-screenshots-aplenty-showing-characters-and-more/

It's a Vita exclusive sRPG and actually looks pretty damn good graphically. I like the art style quite a bit--characters are cute but don't use the exaggerated chibi approach that some of the other titles we've been seeing (Noire for example) have.
Cool, I suppose I should have guessed they'd make a game based on this property. Looks good though, hopefully it makes it stateside, looks pretty good so far.

Unless they sanitize the game it has Gore. I will probably grab it though Doom was the game that got me back into gaming.
